DxD: I Steal Luck

Chapter 72: Chapter 72: Murder?

"Of course! My Blake is the strongest!"

Seeing Hephaestus praise Blake, Hestia immediately turned with a proud expression and said to Hephaestus, "He's amazing, right?"

"Heh, amazing?"

At that moment, Apollo suddenly walked over, his voice filled with rage.

"Blake, confess to me honestly about how you schemed and killed my children from my Familia!"

"Hmm?"

Upon hearing this, both Hephaestus and Hestia frowned and looked at Apollo. Blake, on the other hand, stared at Apollo with cold eyes, his crystal blue gaze faintly filled with killing intent.

He hadn't even planned to settle accounts with this guy yet, but now this guy was coming to trouble him first. Truly audacious.

The adventurers in the square all looked at Apollo with strange expressions, suppressing their laughter, their eyes filled with mockery. It's not every day you get to see a god being ridiculed.

"Heh, since you couldn't win against my children, you resorted to such despicable methods to kill them and claim victory? You dare to do such a thing in broad daylight, and you think your entire life could make up for it?"

Seeing that Blake was ignoring him, Apollo's anger erupted like a volcano, spilling out in full force.

"Hestia, let this boy from your Familia become a slave for life in ours. I'm sure you have no objections, right?"

"What?! What nonsense are you spouting? I haven't even settled things with you, and you dare..."

Upon hearing this, Hestia was momentarily stunned by his words, before quickly reacting with fury.

"Oh my, Apollo, losing the game has made you lose your mind?"

Before Hestia could finish her sentence, Loki, with squinted eyes, walked over, speaking mockingly.

"Hmph, Loki, if I find out you're involved in this matter, I won't let it slide either," Apollo said, glaring at Loki, his tone venomous.

"Apollo, getting deceived by your own Familia and causing trouble without understanding anything, your intelligence is obviously underpaid. With someone like you, you dare to be called a 'god' alongside my Hestia? You've really tarnished her reputation."

As Loki was about to retaliate, a cold voice suddenly interrupted, causing Apollo's expression to freeze.

Loki, Hephaestus, and the gods watching from afar all showed strange expressions. It was the first time they had ever seen a human openly insult a god in front of everyone. While Apollo wasn't exactly a well-liked god, he was still a god, and others should generally show respect.

Hestia clung tightly to Blake's arm. She loved the heroic and gentle side of him. Of course, it was for her; if it were another girl, she'd probably flip over a jar of jealousy.

The other adventurers looked at Blake with astonished eyes. Their admiration for him surged like a torrent. To insult a 'god' so publicly and show no respect was something beyond their capabilities. Even if some adventurers didn't show respect to their own gods, they still had to act reverently in public. It was a given. To act against a god was an omen of misfortune, bringing disaster.

"How dare you insult me?! Hestia, is this your Familia? They have no manners!"

Apollo's mind froze for a moment, then his chest began to rise and fall violently. Although this guy had been disregarding him in the tavern yesterday, he had still acted within reason, not insulting him.

Now, this mere human dared to insult him in front of nearly all the adventurers and gods of Orario, calling him unintelligent and unworthy to be a god. This was no longer just disrespect—it was an outright slap in the face!

Blake had killed his children, and now he dared to insult him in public. This was intolerable. Apollo's thoughts raced with malice. He couldn't let this go; he had to do something.

Apollo could already imagine that even if the silver-haired kid were to die today, he wouldn't recover his reputation. It would only make him a laughing stock among the gods and adventurers, a stain he would never wash away.

"Blake is not a servant. He's my family! And as for you, Apollo, it's not manners you're lacking—it's your whole Familia!"

Hestia didn't know what Apollo was thinking. Right now, all she cared about was seeking justice for Blake.

"It's getting quite lively. Let me join in as well. After all, my Freya Familia is the official judge here," a seductive voice suddenly rang out.

A stunningly beautiful goddess, whose every step seemed to captivate the attention of nearly all the male adventurers, walked over. Behind her was a towering figure of a pigman—Orario's only LV. 2107 adventurer, Otus.

The goddess was none other than Freya, the goddess of beauty, and she was known as one of the most powerful gods in Orario, her Familia competing with Loki's in strength, though Freya's was slightly superior.

"Freya, you're involved too?!"

Upon seeing Freya, Apollo's face turned ashen. His ominous premonition only grew stronger.

Could it be that Loki's Familia and Freya's Familia had teamed up to take him down? And that the silver-haired kid was just a pawn in this game?

"Apollo, what a filthy thought. Don't you know yet? The ones judging this game are Ottars' team," Freya said, looking at Apollo with a hint of disgust.

Although she had always looked down on Apollo, after he targeted someone she cared about, her disdain for him had turned into outright disgust.

"Damn it!"

Hearing this, Apollo clenched his teeth, finally piecing together his earlier suspicions.

Why had the two top-tier Familias come together against him?
