Chapter 78: Chapter 78: The Coming Conspiracy
"Sure enough, becoming your adventurer advisor requires a strong heart," Eina murmured after a brief silence, shaking her head before beginning to count the money.
After a while, Eina handed over two bags and softly said, "Blake, it's a total of 2.8 million Valis, split into two portions."
"Thanks. Eina, we're leaving now. If there's a chance, I'll treat you to tea next time."
After taking the money, Blake smiled and left this remark before holding the wide-eyed Hestia's hand and leaving the guild.
"Tea, huh? I'm really looking forward to it."
Eina watched the trio's retreating figures, a ripple of emotion appearing in her green eyes as she muttered to herself.
"Blake, are you finally going to make a move on that half-elf? You already have me. Hmm—!"
After leaving the guild, Hestia puffed up her cheeks and clung tightly to Blake's arm, glaring at him. She felt a strong sense of crisis. It had only been a few days, and Blake was already getting close to so many girls. If this continued, someone might steal him away!
"Don't worry, I won't leave your side, Hestia."
Seeing Hestia's jealousy, Blake promised sincerely.
"Hmph. Who knows?"
Hestia's expression softened, but she still muttered in response.
"Lili, here's your share. Let's meet again at the usual spot in the square tomorrow at 9 AM."
After calming Hestia, Blake turned to Lili, handing her a large bag of money and speaking gently.
"Mm! Lord Blake, see you tomorrow! Lili is heading back first!"
Lili cheerfully accepted the money bag, said her goodbyes, and quickly ran off. If she kept working with Blake, it wouldn't be long before she could earn enough to escape that despicable familia.
"Didn't expect such a big commotion today, yet there are still people who dare to target me. What a bunch of ungrateful fools."
Watching Lili's back, Blake's blue eyes flickered slightly. Just now, when he handed over the money, he had sensed a strong presence of greed, envy, and jealousy.
"Hmm? The gaze shifted..."
At that moment, Blake raised an eyebrow, feeling the greedy eyes on him disappear. However, the malicious intent from those hiding behind the corner had not faded.
"I see."
The next second, Blake seemed to realize something, and his eyes instantly grew cold.
"Blake, what's wrong?"
Hestia noticed Blake's change in demeanor and asked in confusion.
"Sorry, Hestia. Go wait for me at 'The Hostess of Fertility.' I need to handle something first."
Letting out a soft breath, Blake gently patted Hestia's head and spoke softly.
"Mm?"
Hestia was initially stunned but soon seemed to guess something, looking at Blake seriously with her blue eyes.
"Mm, I understand. Blake, please be careful."
"I will."
Blake's blue eyes flickered again as he nodded. He hadn't expected Hestia to notice that something was about to happen.
After giving one last reminder, Hestia walked away with light steps.
Blake silently turned toward the direction where Lili had gone.

"Captain, are you sure this is okay? That little girl is now an ally of Blake," one of the three men loitering nearby asked with concern.
"Ganu, are you scared? You're such a coward. If Captain Zanis is doing this, he surely has a way to deal with him, right, Captain?" another man, standing on the left, said with a flattering expression.
"Ganu, it looks like your courage isn't enough. As Chandra said, I have my own methods."
Upon hearing this, Zanis smiled proudly and began lecturing his subordinate.
"Ganu, do you think Blake really considers Arde a companion? Their identities and power levels are worlds apart. If they truly had such a strong relationship, they would've come after us long ago. Don't forget, we've already bullied Arde badly enough."
Zanis smugly continued his analysis.
"Given Arde's grudge against us, if she could get Blake involved, she would've done so by now. In the end, she's just a useless support adventurer. Their relationship is purely cooperative."
"Just as expected of the captain, your analysis is spot on!" Chandra quickly complimented.
"Yeah!"
Ganu seemed convinced as well, swallowing nervously. Most adventurers looked down on support adventurers. To them, Blake should be no different.
"Moreover, Arde makes so much money every day by following Blake around. A useless support adventurer making that much gold? Can you stand it?"
Then, with strong jealousy and resentment, Zanis spoke through gritted teeth.
"That's why we need to feed Arde slow-acting poison and completely control her. That way, we can enjoy over a million Valis every day. Plus, it eliminates the tiny chance that Arde will report us. At that point, Blake, the so-called human miracle, will just be our worker."
"Just as expected of the captain!"
Upon hearing this vicious plan, Chandra and Ganu's eyes lit up, excited by the prospect. They swallowed their saliva, clearly imagining the wonderful life to come.
To make Blake, the current shining star, work for them—how amazing would that be?
"So, just follow my lead, and I guarantee you won't be disappointed."
Zanis said triumphantly.
"Hmm? They've finally entered the alley. Let's follow them!"
At that moment, Zanis noticed Lili's movements ahead, his eyes brightening. With a sinister smile, he and his two subordinates followed.
"People from the Soma Familia? They really are asking for death."
The three didn't notice that, coldly following behind them, was Blake, who had overheard their entire conversation. However, he wasn't angered by these disgusting pests—it wasn't worth his time.
What Blake did was simply crush them with a casual kick when they were most pleased with themselves.
