DxD: Infernal Destroyer

Chapter 155: DxD 0155: New Management

Abaddon, Sona, and Rias returned after spending a little over a month and five days in the time-dilated zone after having exhausted all of the energy that Seekvaira had charged previously. At the moment, both heiresses had to disappear since they needed to deal with the aftermath of the battle that had happened the previous night. They had already 'overslept' due to the energy lasting longer than a month, which was what they'd planned for.

Rias had taken Akeno, Koneko, and Asia as Sona took Tsubaki, leaving only Abaddon and his peerage as the only devils at his house. The three did the only thing they could, they went on a date. Abaddon had previously agreed to take Aika and Xenovia out for a day and they both came to a consensus that they would both share their date with Abaddon.

But first, he had something to take care of — one of the strongest beings in all of existence who was currently in his house, conveniently having taken the form of a cute and lovable loli. Abaddon entered Ophis' room where she seemed to be merely staring at a wall. She instantly whipped her head in his direction as a faint frown appeared on her face before it turned inexpressive again.

"Did you decide on that route for yourself, Red One?" Ophis asked.

Abaddon understood that she was talking about him taking on Draconic energy by means of the ritual which would eventually lead to him forming a Dragon Heart.

"I guess so," He said. "Draig told me that this was the best way for me to utilize something like Draconic energy, so I agreed. If it takes me turning my heart into a Dragon Heart, then so be it." Abaddon freely released his new variant of Draconic energy to surround himself, allowing Ophis to feel its presence as an involuntary hum escaped her lips.

"Dangerous …" She floated from her spot before sitting on top of his shoulders. "Maybe you'll die."

"I'm confident in myself and my energy control," He said. "I'll make sure to not explode my heart during the conversion process."

"Another aspect …" Ophis said. "Following desires is important."

"Draig told me about that as well," Abaddon said. "But I truly do follow along with whatever I desire. As long as I spend enough time working together with Draconic Energy, I will eventually be ready to form the Dragon's heart."

Ophis didn't say anything, putting both her hands on top of his head, she rested her chin on them as if having made his shoulders her spot to sit.

Abaddon coughed, "Ophis," He said, "I have a date with Xenovia and Aika planned, so how about you sit near me once we return? Until then, I'll release some extra energy to saturate this room with my energy so that you are comfortable. What do you say?"

"Fine …" She said.

"You can spend your time playing some of the video games —" Abaddon paused, realizing that she agreed easily. "Great," He nodded, helping her get off of his shoulders before she floated to the couch.

"When will you return?" She asked as Abaddon started releasing his energy to saturate the room. Even at low concentrations, it was enough to overdose his Rias and Sona to the point of unconsciousness and right now, he was releasing many times more energy, yet Ophis was treating it as a comfortable breeze and nothing more.

"Before evening," He said. "If I'm too late, then I might end up coming back just before dinner. You can sit with me then."

"Okay," Ophis nodded before turning to the TV, "Bye." She said dryly.

'Her dry tones will leave me feeling confused about her mood forever …'

‹ Ophis does not feel anything partner. The Dragon God of Infinity is a being that has lived from time immemorial. It isn't going to be easy to rouse a reaction from her. ›

'I guess …'

Abaddon kept to his word and filled a huge amount of Draconic energy to make the atmosphere in the room comfortable for Ophis before leaving. He even used a spell to seal it to make sure no one accidentally entered the room. Unlike Ophis, to whom this was nothing more than a breeze, to his non-dragon girls, that room was no less than a semi-death trap.

With the loose cannon called Ophis taken care of temporarily, Abaddon was finally free to go out with his two girls. And that was how the rest of his day passed. Aika and Xenovia dragged him all around Kuoh as Aika brought them to all kinds of nice places while Xenovia took every chance to stay close to him, sneaking in constant quickies that ended up in the same way — with Aika joining in and Abaddon having to use magic to make people forget about the debauchery that they had most probably realized was happening under tables and at all sorts of discrete spots that the trio passed. All in all, Abaddon felt that his day was a success, not only in strengthening the bonds between him and his peerage but also in expressing his desires freely.

By the time they were done, the sun had already set and he was supposed to return home along with his girls. However, a transmission from Rias made him change his destination. Instead of going back home with Aika and Xenovia, he went to Kuoh Academy while the two went back home.

"Better be a good reason for this, red, I just skipped out on a post-date threesome because of your message," Abaddon said as he pushed open the door to Akeno's clubroom.

"I'd like to think that a cadre of the Fallen Angels is a good enough reason," Azazel was found sitting in Rias' seat as she sat on the couch. She gave him an admonishing look with a blush on her face which Abaddon promptly ignored.

"Barely," Abaddon said, approaching Azazel's desk, "What's up? Wanna give me more barrels of Azazel's Spirits?" His words made the Fallen Angel's expression darken.

"You really know how to press someone's buttons, don't you?" Azazel said.

"I'm a devil," Abaddon shrugged, "it's an occupational hazard. Seriously though, why are you here? Don't you have to clean up the mess that Vali left behind?"

"With the treaty signed, things are now much simpler at Grigori," Azazel said, "Kuoh, on the other hand, has been a hot spot of activity recently. From Kokabiel to the thing with the treaty. The three factions have decided to station one of the leaders here. We had a choice between Serafall and myself, so the Sitri heiress here decided to choose me as the representative leader of the three factions."

Abaddon zoned out most of what Azazel said except the part where there was a possibility of Serafall coming here instead of him and Sona blocked that proposition. He instantly turned to look at Sona with a betrayed expression, "How could you?" He asked dramatically as Sona crossed her arms under her chest, "How could you betray me like that? We could've had a cute mascot like Serafall joining us and instead, we're left with this old coot."

"I stand by my decision, Abaddon," Sona said sternly. "There is no way in all hell that I will let my sister stay in Kuoh. Either you'll get her to do it or she will voluntarily end up moving into your home, where I sleep with you. I'd rather not have her throw a nuclear explosion of a tantrum."

"You have betrayed me …" Abadodn shook his head disappointedly.

"I'm right here, you know," Azazel said. "You might just hurt my feelings."

Abaddon looked into his eyes with a hurt expression, "I would choose Serafall over you even if I had to return all of your whiskey to you."

"Can you stop throwing a tantrum, Abaddon? Please," Rias said. "I'm just as, if not more, annoyed. He just came in and took over my seat, turning my clubhouse into his place. I'm just as annoyed as you are."

"Fine," He agreed, "Putting aside the revenge me and Rias are going to inflict on Sona. Is there any benefit for us in you coming here?" He turned to Azazel as a horrified look filled with regret crossed Sona's expression. She knew that Abaddon wasn't bluffing when he said about Rias and him punishing her.

'I should've just let my sister come … She would've beaten him up good … I could still do that, though.' Her thoughts were all over the place as she panicked inwardly.

As for Azazel, he looked at Abaddon, "You, in particular, don't benefit as much from my presence, but for Kiba, Asia, and Gasper, these kids with their sacred gears, they are in serious need of some guidance when it comes to their use cases. I noticed yesterday, that both Kiba and Asia are barely scratching the true potential of their gears and I will help them truly unleash it. I didn't see Gasper and his Forbidden Balor View so it's difficult for me to gauge his ability but considering you kept him out of the fight, I don't think he's able to control it yet."
