Earth With Dungeon: Saving the World With an Economic Boom

Chapter 298.2

Chapter 298.2. Intruder

Tia’s sword swing was so fast that even a familiar shouldn’t have been able to see it. The shadow cat should have been sliced open, its blood splattering everywhere. But instead, it had dodged her attack.

Annoyed, Tia had attacked with less precision and speed than usual. But even so, the shadow cat shouldn’t have been able to dodge. Tia’s eyes widened in shock and confusion.

“Meow.”

A pitch-black wind rushed at her from the left.

“Meow.”

A shadow cat leaped out from her own shadow.

“Hiss.”

A shadow snake coiled around her leg, immobilizing her.

“Meow, meow.”

With adorable cries, new familiars appeared, surrounding Tia with terrifying speed.

Thud! Tia’s body shook as the familiars attacked her one after another. She staggered under the onslaught, but her body remained unharmed, with only her clothes slightly torn.

This only fueled her anger.

“Don’t underestimate me, you pests! Mere familiars!”

Tia’s face twisted in rage as she let out a roar. The air distorted, and the familiars were blown away by the sheer force of her voice.

[Tempest Emperor’s Sword Dance]

In her fury, Tia unleashed her combat skills, swinging Durandal. The sword, infused with immense mana, unleashed a force that could only be described as a tempest.

The storm engulfed everything around her, shredding the dungeon’s floor and pillars, which were harder than orichalcum. The familiars were ground into pieces and defeated.

After finishing off the attacking familiars, Tia looked around with cold eyes. With a single swing of her sword, she sheathed it.

She took a deep breath to calm herself, then clicked her tongue, analyzing the strength of the familiars.

“They were impossibly strong.”

As expected. She had anticipated this outcome as soon as the situation arose.

“The dungeon’s strength has dropped significantly.”

The dungeon’s pillars and walls, which should have only sustained scratches, were deeply gouged, on the verge of collapsing, even though they hadn’t been hit by divine-level attacks.

This was the worst-case scenario. She had never imagined things would turn out like this. Most likely, all the dungeon’s monsters had been defeated. Given the dungeon’s weakened state, the traps probably wouldn’t function properly either.

“Why do I have to head to the top floor?”

Grumbling, Tia ran without hesitation toward her destination. Her destination was one of the countless chambers. It was an ordinary, empty room, no different from the others around it.

When Tia arrived, she placed her hand on the wall. With a rumble, the wall slid open, revealing a secret elevator that provided the shortest route to the deepest part of the dungeon.

She jumped inside and pressed a switch on the wall. There were many buttons, but without hesitation, Tia smashed the top button with enough force to break it. With a clunk, the doors closed, and the elevator began to ascend.

“Cowardly… Too cowardly!”

Gnashing her teeth in frustration, Tia muttered angrily. She had never expected things to turn out like this.

The elevator shook as it arrived, and the doors opened. Without waiting for them to fully open, Tia rushed out and reached the boss chamber’s entrance. The orichalcum doors alone were divine, with intricate carvings depicting battles, making it clear that this was the final door.

There should have been guards, but the blood staining the floor and the scattered chunks of flesh indicated that the battle was over. Moreover, the double doors were wide open.

Catching her breath, Tia entered the room cautiously.

Inside was a spacious hall with a red carpet and a throne at the far end—the final boss room. Originally, Tia was supposed to sit there, but a guest had already taken her seat.

“Isn’t this too much of a cheat?”

Pouting, Tia directed her complaints at the man sitting on the throne.

Leaning on the armrest, the man gave Tia a cold, ruthless smile and replied, “Reality is harsh. Things don’t always go your way, Tia.”

Sitting on the throne was Amano, the guardian. Beside him stood Shizuku, like a great demon king.

“Great Demon King Tia! The hero couple will defeat you. We didn’t bring the kids, so we left them in the carriage! It’s a couples-only battle! I’m the rich heroine, after all, as the CEO’s wife.”

Shizuku pointed at Tia with a mischievous grin.

“In what world does the hero sit on the throne waiting for the demon king?”

Tia let out a deep sigh, showing how utterly exhausted she was, her head hanging low.

But after exhaling a long breath, she raised her head and glared at the guardians with hatred.

“I never thought you’d humiliate me like this. What did you do? I wasn’t careless. Didn’t you go to the abyss to recruit Titania?”

“Shall we compare answers? It’s a good opportunity.”

Amano sneered. Tia gave him a stern look, clicking her tongue as she realized how troublesome things had become.
