Endless Horde: Through the Eyes of a Godking

Chapter 504: Invasion; Chancellors and Paragons

--

The area where the Chancellors and the Paragons joined forces to resist the invasion was on an entirely different level compared to what's happening below.

Anybody who's not at the Transitional Realm would find it difficult to understand anything that's happening around these parts, mostly because the area has been obscured by multiple explosions of light that distorted time and space that, in addition to the taint of the void, made it even more chaotic.

The Dragon Chancellor was at the very forefront of the resistance. He stood majestically in his true dragon form, his body spanning for thousands of miles, seemingly blotting out the stars. This, with his nigh-unparalleled might, made him a formidable figure that everybody should pay attention to.

But even his size couldn't compare to the sheer immensity of the true form of Ancient Titan Chancellor.

If the Dragon Chancellor was almost as big as a fully developed and evolved world, the Ancient Titan Chancellor was even bigger than a solar system.

This size of the Dragon Chancellor was just the size of the Ancient Titan Chancellor's eyes. Whenever the titan moves, it seemed like the universe itself was moving as well. It's like he's the embodiment of the universe, and going against him was the same as going against the heavens and the earth itself.

In terms of raw strength output, it'd be extremely difficult to find any creature that could match Ancient Titans. The only fault they have is that they can be a bit slow, and that has something to do with their immense size. Though in reality, compared to really large creatures, they're already decently fast.

Another downside to their titanic size was that it's almost difficult for them to see really small creatures unless they shrink down themselves.

However, this little problem can be solved by having company, and right now, the Ancient Titan Chancellor was certainly not fighting alone.

The Mystic Fae and the Holy Spirit Chancellors stuck close by his side to assist him in dealing with little things that he cannot deal with due to his immense size.

Fae Magic and Spiritual Spells flashed around his body, creating a gorgeous fireworks display that not only looked pretty but also annihilated the void creatures that were seeking to eat the Ancient Titan from the inside.

There is a popular saying within the alliance: 'It was the Wise Dragons that invented Magic, but it's the Mystic Faes that took it to its current heights.'.

This is an age-old saying, dating even before the alliance's foundation itself, and it has been proven true. It was indeed the Wise Dragons that invented magic but it was the Mystic Faes that took it to the next level.

In terms of magical aptitude, no other race can compete against the Mystic Fae Race, and only those who mastered the ancient Fae Magic can be eligible to become their Chancellor. And to be a direct successor to the current Chancellor, the candidate must invent a new spell that could go toe to toe against ancient Fae Magic.

Magic that was effective against void creatures is almost non-existent. Yet the current Mystic Fae Chancellor uses them like it was the extension of his hands.

What sounded like the faintest of whispers escaped from his lips. It's as if he's humming a tune or something. Yet in truth, this was him casting his magic, the very same magic that causes the void creatures to explode from within. What's even more magical is that, usually, dead void creatures leave a puddle of void mess behind, yet those killed through the Mystic Fae Chancellor's magic didn't.

If it weren't for the difficulty of using this spell, the Mystic Fae Chancellor would've donated it to the Border Patrol Guardians willingly. Sadly, it is categorized as an ancient Fae magic, and if one doesn't have the aptitude of a Mystic Fae, it is quite impossible for them to use it.

On the other hand, the Holy Spirit Chancellor was no slouch either.

While it may look like he's just hovering there like a ghost, in truth, he's just as active at killing void creatures as Mystic Fae Chancellor was.

Actually, if there's anyone here that void creatures should be afraid of, it wouldn't be the other chancellors or Paragons. It should be him.

That's because the Holy Spirit Chancellor can easily sever the void creatures' connection to their hive mind, making them seem like headless ghosts and extremely vulnerable.

See, their hive mind is the lifeline of Void Creatures, especially when they are invading the Primordial Chaos. Severing this connection makes them crazy for some reason, so much so that they blow up on their own.

Severing their connection to the hive mind was but a lift of finger to the Holy Spirit Chancellor. Hell, he's not even trying to be honest. Of course, it's only this easy because he's got the homefield advantage. If he had done this in the void, he'd be going face to face with that ancient entity, and it would be him who goes crazy instead.

While the Mystic Fae Chancellor and the Holy Spirit Chancellor stayed close to the Ancient Titan Chancellor, the Primal Beast Chancellor and the Divine Celestial Chancellor joined the Wise Dragon Chancellor in his rampage.

If we're counting kills alone, the Primal Beast Chancellor was unrivaled.

With a swipe of his claws, he could easily eradicate thousands of void creatures. Moreover, he was extremely fast and durable. His animosity could even intimidate the void creatures themselves.

The Primal Beast Chancellor looked like a shooting star piercing through the void creatures, leaving behind a trail of corpses in his wake. There were no signs of fear or retreat on his mind, he just advances and pierces through obstacles through sheer aggression.

Star Chasing Wolf, that's the bloodline of the current Primal Beast Chancellor. This bloodline wasn't anything special. In fact, it was very common to not only the Primal Beast Clan but to all beastial races within the alliance.

It was he who took it to this height. He was the first person who managed to take the bloodline of the Star Chasing Wolf to atavism. And he's also the first Star Chasing Wolf to become the Chancellor. In his entire race, nobody was more familiar with this bloodline than him.

Yet unlike the vicious yet efficient killing speed of the Primal Beast Chancellor, the means of the Divine Celestial Chancellor looked more...humane, at least.

The Divine Celestial Chancellor was someone who had three pairs of arms. He's also got two more faces on the side of his head. Each arm of his carried a cold weapon, and he charged the field, leaving trails of bodies and corpses of void creatures behind.

What made him different from his comrades was that his actions carried grace and beauty. You can even say that his slaughter was like an art performance. It was mesmerizing and contained numerous profundities that could give birth to other martial skills as well.

The Divine Celestial Chancellor held a sword, spear, great axe, bow, shield, and mace. Every single weapon he held was utilized to its utmost degree. There were no wasted movements, unnecessary actions...nothing that slows down his killing efficiency. While he might be slower than the Primal Beast Chancellor, at the very least, he's not falling behind too much.

These people, being the current era's Chancellors of 'The Six' was the best each of their respective races can offer, not only in strength, but also in wisdom and leadership as well.

Of course, they weren't alone in this fight. The Paragons of the Border Patrol Guardians were also here to help. In fact, they're taking a more proactive position in this resistance because this was their responsibility in the first place.

The Paragons were the cosmic-level experts that joined the guardians. They are the first line of defense of the alliance against events like this. It's these people that knew the threat that the void carries, making them feel responsible.

While there were Cosmic level experts here that came from 'The Six', most of them are actually not part of them. Most came from other races, some even weaker than others, yet managing to reach this far in their life evolution.

It's these people that feel indebted to the alliance and Border Patrol Guardians. If it weren't for the generosity of the guardians to open up their coffers for them, they wouldn't have been able to reach this far. That's why when the camps were in trouble, they didn't hesitate to defend it.

The people of the alliance might not even be aware of what's currently happening here. Whether that's good or bad depends on who you ask, but everybody who's fighting against the invasion right here and now holds a clear conscience. After all, dying for strangers doesn't really sound like a good choice for most people.

As the skies above the camps continued to become chaotic and the Void Tide continued to increase as time went on...

Inside one of the isolated buildings, wisps of black and white air seeped through the very same room where Cedric was making a breakthrough...

And it just so happens that it came during the most sensitive period of his breakthrough, too. Enjoy new tales from My Virtual Library Empire
