Endless Horde: Through the Eyes of a Godking

Chapter 554: Cosmic Spirit Acala

--

"Well, well...long time no see, Acala."

Standing above the skies, an ethereal figure manifested beside Cedric. It's a lady wearing a white dress adorned with verdant gems and fig leaves; she's even wearing a fig leaf crown. She has hazel eyes with long brown hair cascading behind her like a waterfall. This was none other than Acala, the spiritual consciousness of Prime Earth.

"You've become unfathomable now." She sighed emotionally. "Oh, and welcome back, by the way."

Acala didn't even notice his return. In her eyes, Cedric has grown almost unrecognizable. He's beyond her comprehension now, so much so that she feared that if she stared at him for too long, she'd burn.

"Aww, I missed you too." Cedric made faces at her. "How have you been? How's work at the tower?"

"Great, to both questions." She replied, casually sitting beside him. "I've been really healthy and fulfilled. Also, I made lots of friends in there. I think they like me too, so I can't really complain."

In truth, her colleagues at the tower not only like her; they love her. Acala was actually the youngest of the staff in there. Her face, coupled with her naivety, made her extremely adorable in their eyes, so much so that they pampered her. She just doesn't notice it because she's focused on doing her job properly.

"How about you? How's work over there? Oh, I saw the viral video, by the way. That was scary. Were you hurt?" she asked.

"Eh, I managed." Cedric shrugged. "Things have gone better since that video, though, so don't worry too much."

"I see."

A brief silence descended between them after this. Both of them seem satisfied to just experience this peace and silence.

"Hey, I think I can help you evolve into a Cosmic Consciousness. Would you like to be one?"

Cough! Cough!

Acala suddenly choked into a coughing fit after hearing what he said. It caused Cedric to panic a bit, so he patted her back and asked:

"Are you okay?"

"Fine. Dandy." Acala replied between breaths, "But you really shouldn't just drop bombs like that. A little heads-up could've been nice."

Her mind was reeling. It doesn't help that Cedric's inquiry was a genuine one too. In hindsight, she should've expected something like this. After all, Cedric was a man of action and miracles. The time he spent away from home didn't make him forget about it. Since then, until now, his priority is still the safety and prosperity of his home.

"Yeah, sorry. But do you want to become one, though?" Cedric didn't sound apologetic at all. He's more concerned about her answer.

"Yes." She nodded, unable to lie in front of him. "Yes, I do. But if it's too much trouble, then we can postpone it later. I'm not in a hurry."

"Oh, don't you worry about that. It's not too much trouble at all. We can begin now if you want to."

"Now?" Acala was a little hesitant because things are going a little too fast. "Don't you need to...I don't know, alert them first? My evolution would produce many changes immediately, and that might cause some panic."

Cedric smiled and reassured her: "Like I said, don't you worry about that. I'll handle everything else. You just focus on evolving. How about it? Are you ready?"

Acala took a couple of deep breaths, inwardly panicking because it seemed that this was actually happening. But she also knew that Cedric wouldn't lie to her or be so overconfident to the point of carelessness, so after a while, she nodded.

"Alright, here we go." Cedric smiled and waved his hand. And this was the last thing Acala saw before her consciousness blurred.

Since she's evolving from a World Spirit to a Cosmic Spirit, Cedric couldn't just throw in some resources to Prime Earth for this evolution. No, it must be used directly on her spiritual body so that it could ascend.

Speaking of resources, Cedric could've used a lot of precious resources he accumulated during his service to help her. He had stored a lot, and most of them were just collecting dust in his inventory anyway. But he refrained from doing so.

Instead, Cedric used Chaos Energy to directly elevate her form.

To this day, there might not be any energy source rarer than Chaos Energy because only a handful of people can produce it, and these people were none other than the Ancient Chaos Path practitioners.

Chaos Energy transcends all energy forms, so much so that it's even effective against Void Energy. For a World Spirit like Acala, being nourished by pure Chaos Energy was something that could only happen in her wildest dreams. She would've never imagined that the child she cultivated to be her savior would one day grow to this level and would have the means to help her evolve using Chaos Energy.

She didn't need a lot, contrary to what Cedric expected. Actually, Cedric wanted her to use a lot of Chaos Energy because the more she consumed, the better.

Actually, Acala's consumption rate was already considered a lot. She already absorbed more than any ordinary World Spirit could have. Cedric just had a lot of Chaos Energy that he barely felt the pinch.

Scanning her conditions, Cedric could feel Acala's existence elevating in real time. He was even able to see her connection with Solaris Prime deepening.

Aware that a huge reaction was about to come, Cedric flicked his sleeves, shrouding the visions of Acala's evolution to prevent the people from panicking. They might feel a few minor earthquakes here and there, but nothing too catastrophic.

Of course, his actions were just limited to Prime Earth. After all, humans are living on many planets now. His actions extended to humanity as a whole. It doesn't matter where they are; so long as they're within Solaris Prime, they're within Cedric's perception and reach.

Since all he intended to do was to cover the visions that occur during Acala's ascension to a Cosmic Spirit, it wasn't all that hard for him.

Though, he did allow a handful of people to see what's actually happening. These people were his wives and other people who had promising talents. He knew that they would have some gains after witnessing Acala's ascension, so he allowed them to see it. As for others, they don't have to be bothered. It would be better for them to not see it and continue their normal lives instead.

Acala's ascension wasn't complicated. It could've been if Cedric hadn't been here, but he's here, and he handled the rest.

It took three days and nights before her ascension was complete. When Acala's consciousness returned, she was nearly overwhelmed and overstimulated by the sensation feedback due to her evolution.

Transitioning from a World Spirit to a Cosmic Spirit was a profound experience for her. Before, all she was concerned about was Prime Earth since that's technically her physical body; it was also the limit of where her power lies. Now, though, the entirety of Solaris Prime had become her physical form. She instinctively knew everything within it like she'd known it since birth. It was overwhelming at first, but she handled it just fine.

Aside from this, though, there was something that made her feel confused...

See, she has known all the things that could possibly happen after she evolved. Yet none of them contained information about this new, very versatile, and also very rare energy source she could now use.

What was it? How did she come to possess it? What happened?

"It's Chaos Energy," Cedric told her as he inspected her new spiritual form.

Acala now appears to be wearing a velvet gown adorned with silvers and diamonds, sparkling with brilliance. A mixture of violet and purple dominated the color scheme of the gown, and it hugged her figure. She also has a star crown, and her eyes turned from hazel to deep purple. Her hair also turned from brown to black with purple ends that seemingly blend with her gown.

"Chaos energy...that sounds familiar somehow. Well...the energy itself feels familiar. Yet I'm pretty sure this is the first time I've encountered it."

"Chaos Energy is the essence of Primordial Chaos...you know, the very thing that gave birth to all things. I used it to help you ascend. Surprisingly, even though it isn't much, you are now able to produce some too because of that."

Acala inhaled sharply after hearing what he said. She stared at him incredulously, wondering if he's pranking her or something because there was no way this boy just said that he used the essence of Primordial Chaos to help her evolve.

But just as usual, there were no traces of lies on his face. Moreover, she could practically confirm the truth since she was, indeed, capable of producing Chaos Energy now. Yes, it isn't a lot, but you won't hear her complaining.

Acala had so many questions, like, how did Cedric get his hands on Chaos Energy? What the hell did he do? Why waste such a precious energy source on her instead of using it for himself or his family...and many more?

Yet she also knew that she wasn't in a position to demand answers from him. And knowing this child, he must have his reasons, so she could only say:

"Thank you."
