Chapter 35: Chapter 34: Brutal Starlight vs Divine Corruption

Ferah's laughter was like breaking glass mixed with poison. "You think your touching reunion will save you? Let me show you the true power of divine corruption!"

Her form exploded outward, growing to monstrous proportions. Her skin turned obsidian black, her crimson hair became flowing lava, and her eyes blazed with the fury of a fallen star. Massive wings of shadow and bone erupted from her back, casting the entire arena in darkness.

"SOUL HARVEST!" Ferah roared, her claws extending toward both sisters.

The attack was devastating. Dark tendrils shot from her fingertips, each one seeking to pierce their souls and drain their life force. Hanan barely managed to raise her starlight spear in time, the weapon creating a barrier of pure light that crackled against the necrotic energy.

"Guardian's Light!" Hanan called out, her spear blazing as she deflected the tendrils. But the impact sent shockwaves through her body, and she felt her life force being drained even through her defenses.

Bruwa tried to help, firing arrows of spectral light at Ferah's massive form, but the succubus batted them away like annoying insects. "Your ghostly sister is nothing but a shade!" Ferah snarled. "Watch as I tear her apart!"

She lunged forward with inhuman speed, her claws raking across Bruwa's spectral form. The ghost screamed as the corruption tore through her ethereal body, leaving jagged wounds that leaked silvery ectoplasm.

"BRUWA!" Hanan screamed, her rage igniting her starlight to new heights. She launched herself at Ferah, her spear trailing ribbons of cosmic fire.

"Purification Beam!" she shouted, the attack striking Ferah directly in the chest.

The beam of starlight carved through Ferah's corrupted flesh, leaving a smoking wound that oozed black ichor. But instead of weakening her, the injury seemed to fuel her rage even more.

"YES!" Ferah laughed maniacally, her wound already beginning to regenerate. "Pain! Suffering! This is what I live for!"

She backhanded Hanan with tremendous force, sending the elf princess flying across the arena. Hanan crashed into the wall with bone-crushing impact, her starlight flickering as she struggled to breathe.

"You're weak," Ferah taunted, advancing on the injured princess. "Just like your sister was weak. Just like everyone you've ever cared about is weak."

She raised her claws for a killing blow, but Bruwa's spectral form suddenly materialized between them. "I won't let you hurt her!" the ghost declared, her bow drawn back to full tension.

"Soul Arrow!" Bruwa fired, the projectile piercing directly through Ferah's heart.

For a moment, the arena fell silent. Then Ferah looked down at the arrow protruding from her chest and laughed.

"You still don't understand, do you?" she said, grabbing the arrow and slowly pulling it out. "I'm beyond death now. I'm beyond pain. I'm beyond everything that makes you pathetically mortal."

She lunged at Bruwa, her claws finding purchase in the ghost's ethereal form. With a savage twist, she began to tear the spectral sister apart, literally ripping her soul into fragments.

"NOOOOO!" Hanan's scream shook the entire arena. Her starlight exploded outward in a nova of pure fury, the light so intense it temporarily blinded everyone watching.

When the light faded, Hanan stood transformed. Her silver hair now blazed with stellar fire, her emerald eyes had become twin stars, and her entire body radiated the crushing power of a dying sun. The broken ribs had healed, her wounds had closed, and her starlight spear had become a weapon of cosmic destruction.

"You want to see what real power looks like?" Hanan's voice carried the weight of collapsing galaxies. "Let me show you what happens when you threaten my family."

She moved with impossible speed, her spear carving through the air with lethal precision. The first strike caught Ferah in the shoulder, the starlight eating through her corrupted flesh like acid. The second struck her thigh, nearly severing the limb entirely.

"Impossible!" Ferah gasped, her regeneration struggling to keep up with the devastating wounds. "I'm a divine avatar! I can't be---"

"STELLAR RAGE!" Hanan screamed, her spear becoming a blur of destruction.

The attacks came in rapid succession, each one more brutal than the last. Starlight carved through Ferah's wings, shredding them to bloody ribbons. The spear punched through her torso, leaving smoking holes that refused to heal. Hanan's fury was beyond mortal comprehension, it was the rage of a sister who had lost everything, channeled through the power of the stars themselves.

But Ferah was far from finished. Drawing on her deepest reserves of corruption, she began to transform again. Her wounded form dissolved into pure shadow, becoming something beyond physical existence.

"You want to play rough?" her voice echoed from every dark corner of the arena. "Then let's play rough!"

"CORRUPTION FIELD!" she roared, her power expanding to fill the entire space.

Hanan felt the corruption washing over her like a tide of liquid hatred. Her rage-fueled power began to waver as the field attacked her very motivation for fighting. Why was she protecting these people? Why did she care about a sister who was already dead?

"That's right," Ferah's voice whispered in her ear. "Let the doubt creep in. Let the corruption show you the truth about your pathetic bonds."

For a moment, Hanan faltered. The starlight around her dimmed as the corruption ate away at her resolve. But then she saw something that reignited her fury, the fragments of Bruwa's soul, scattered across the arena floor like broken crystal.

"No," she whispered, her voice growing stronger. "I don't care if she's dead. I don't care if it's hopeless. She's my sister, and I will NOT let you destroy her."

She began to gather the fragments, her starlight gently coaxing them back together. "Bond!" she called out, her new ability manifesting as silver threads that connected each piece of her sister's soul.

But Ferah wasn't about to let her succeed. "JEALOUS FURY!" she screamed, her shadow form coalescing into a massive fist of pure malice.
