Chapter 2571: Unexpected Opponents
-----
Frank and his friends were confronted by the person that had created the black slimes, and that might have set a trap just for them. However, after seeing how they defeated the monsters so easily despite how strong they were, she decided to step in herself.
Or well, not completely. As she instead emerged as a shadowy silhouette, not showing her true appearance at all, but clearly looking like some kind of witch. Her powers, however, were strange, and even more bizarre than what she did right now.
Bringing forth Elfina, Sol, and Fiere from Frank's classes, these three innocent students out of nowhere, and using them as bargaining chips to make Frank's friends sell him out or something!
Although that didn't work that well, as Frank and his friends were fully intent on fighting back and saving these three, the witch decided to go a step further, and weaponize her hostages against them.
"You see, I found something really wonderful and surprising about this trio! They have incredible untapped potential," the witch laughed.
FLUOSH!
As she laughed, powerful Auras began overflowing from Elfina, Fiere, and Sol, their innate powers began to awaken, something Frank, Matsuo, Harumi, and Erika never thought possible.
"In fact, the potential they had was so much that I was baffled they never tapped into it… So, how about we test their true power, hm? People with the Bloodline of Ancient Fae such as those girls are rare, even more a person born with a Heroic Soul."
As the woman spoke, Frank and his friends noticed the trio overflowing auras flickering around their bodies, changing their appearance.
As she said, Elfina and Fiere changed, gaining pointy ears and more colorful hair, while having a strange, spiritual aura around them.
"B-Bloodlines of Ancient Fae?" Matsuo wondered. "You mean the Fae from Europe? Elves and Fairies? I knew the girls came from overseas, but I never could've guessed they had such potential!"
"And what the hell is a Heroic Soul though?" Erika asked. "Is that something that exists?"
"Heroic Soul… That's an ability that ancient heroes possess," explained Matsuo. "I-It's supposed to be more of a myth. Ancient Heroes such as Prince Yamato Takeru, King Arthur, and perhaps even Heracles. I-It isn't supposed to be a power that anybody would ever have nowadays…"
"What?!" Frank asked. "You mean…!"
"From what little I've researched; heroic souls granted their wielders immense power that could rival gods despite being mortals…" Matsuo said. "They developed as their "Heroic Tale" developed, an incredible innate ability and magic that anybody wish they could possess!"
"Then…!"
Frank looked at the trio, noticing their changes as their auras transformed and they suddenly summoned weapons out of nowhere, he didn't know if they were materializations of their own Mana or actual Magic Weapons that came from somewhere else.
Elfina summoned a pair of spears out of nowhere, of white and black color. The black spear overflowed with darkness and shadows, and even the element of death, while the white spear overflowed with light and holy power, and even the essence of life. These weapons were, without a doubt, at the level of Mythical Relics, they were like nothing Frank had ever seen before.
At the same time, her maidservant, Fiere, summoned a crimson bow and surrounding her there were dozens of arrows made of flames. This weapon seemed to be a Spiritual Weapon infused with the power of a strong fire spirit, Frank could tell as much with just a glance.
And Sol's Aura turned into fire, covered with armor made of red and orange, blazing metal, while he held a giant blazing, divine sword. Yes, it was a divine sword, Matsuo, Frank, Erika, and especially Harumi noticed these divine, holy flames. A mere touch from them could deal immense burning damage to them, and if it were to touch Harumi, she could probably die as a half-vampire.
"What with those weapons?!" Erika asked. "They're all way too overpowered! Do they have some sort of Tracing and Summoning Magic?!"
"It looks to be the case…!" Harumi said. "That guy, Sol… He has a divine sword! Everyone, don't let him get close to you!"
"Should we run away?" Frank asked. "Can we even win?!"
"We have to do something, Frank! These are our friends!" Matsuo said. "I have tried contacting the outside world, but it seems we've been locked in this area."
"Dammit!" Frank groaned, as he saw all three students rushing towards them at a faster speed than he imagined. "Everyone, get down!"
Matsuo, Harumi, and Erika glanced at Frank with confusion, but then they realized what he was going to do, as he touched the ground with his hands, and activated the simple Skill [Dirt] at full power.
"{Dirt}!"
RUMBLE!
The ground immediately shattered apart, and a gigantic wall of stone surged in front of everyone, at the same time as the stone beneath them started moving away.
A Skill that was originally about creating dirt has been mastered and transformed through Frank's incredible magical knowledge and adaptation abilities.
By infusing his Mana into the ground itself, even the concrete became part of the "dirt" he could control, connecting it to the production of dirt, which now fused with the hard concrete, generating hard stone spikes and walls everywhere.
"I-Incredible, it's working! Frank, you're amazing!" Erika said.
"We're getting us out of here!" Frank said. "I would also want to save them, Matsuo, but they got weapons we cannot possibly handle alone! Harumi in specific, what would happen if that divine sword hurt her?! She'll die!"
"I-I know!" Matsuo said. "If we're closed within this Domain, we must quickly break through the spatial walls somehow! I'll gather Mana and try to create a Repulsion Spell, hang in there!"
"Dammit, we don't have enough time!" Harumi said, pointing into the skies as she saw the trio flying through the skies, Frank's diversion hardly stopped them.
"They can fly?!" Erika said in shock. "No way, they're coming! I'll go and intercept their blows; I am the strongest here physically! Buff with anything you've got!"
Erika stepped bravely to the front, but Frank quickly did the same, all while controlling the stone boulder as it moved towards the edge of the domain.
"Don't worry, I can do more than one thing at a time too!" Frank smiled, abusing the power of his [Parallel Thinking] Skill to the max.
