Chapter 2624: New Class
-----
The true identity of White, Michael, one of the Seven Archangels, glanced through the window of Frank's room, amazed by the growth of human society after thousands of years.
"Oh… this place is really wonderful. I… have not seen such a place in eons."
It seemed she had not visited this place for eons for her, even though perhaps time went differently where she was restrained compared to Earth itself.
"The night is beautiful; the city is big and illuminated. Humans have progressed so much… I cannot believe I've missed so much of this…"
As she spoke, it felt like she wanted to leap out of the window and fly as high as she could into the skies to see the entire world, but due to her new contract with Frank, who has become her and her siblings' vessel, she couldn't do as she pleased.
"Hah… Well, you haven't even seen everything yet," Frank said with a giggle, as he noticed her enthusiasm. "There are many other things humans have made. Technology for example, amazing new food, new countries, alliances, world peace. It's great… I think? Well, I never lived those ancient times where people struggled a lot… So I can't really draw a good comparison point."
"Hmm, it's alright, I am glad children are now being born in a safer world than before, without as many wars, without as much suffering," Michael said. "In the past, that was the norm, always. There was not a single child that lived a happy life… but now, perhaps there's still many that do, but there's also many that live happy lives, grow up to become great people, and work together to improve the world."
"Hmm, you really sound like an angel, huh?" Frank wondered, rubbing his chin. "So your "father" who is he? What's his name? Is he some sort of… God?"
"You would know him as God, yes. We know him as Father," Michael said. "Some might call him the Heavenly Father. Others would say… He's The One. He has many titles, he has been given many names, but he never called himself anything. Ancient humans called him Yahweh or Jehovah, and I suppose they still do, right?"
"I-I guess so… I am not that religious, sorry," Frank scratched his head. "But seeing how everything is real I suppose I gotta believe…"
"It's fine, Father's son made so all humans were free from sins, they now can walk the path they want, and make their own life," smiled Michael. "Humanity is prospering because of that. As long as you don't aim to hurt other people, as long as you simply are a good human being and work to improve your live, and perhaps help a little bit here and there, I think you'll be rewarded with Eternal Paradise once you pass away… Although perhaps to someone like you, a Wanderer of the Stars, sch concepts don't truly apply."
"Again with that weird "Wanderer of the Stars" title or whatever… I don't really like it that much, and my father… He abandoned mom and I… I don't care about his legacy, I couldn't care less what happens to him," Frank sighed. "But if its his fault that I'm going through all these difficulties then… it makes me a bit mad."
"Hmm, you're a good person, Frank, don't let such emotions overtake your good judgement," Michael said. "Everything is happening for a reason, you and I, now share a purpose. The purpose? Perhaps it would be helping people, or defeating a great evil, protecting humanity, or guiding those that strived from the good path."
"A-Ah… You're putting a lot of pressure on me…" Frank felt slightly annoyed. "I have a question though. What happened to your siblings… they went to sleep, right? But why are you still awake?"
Frank didn't want to continue the conversation with Michael about those things for the moment, so he decided to just ask her something that had been inside his head for a while.
"Oh, that…" Michael slowly walked inside the house, her beautiful smile making Frank blush a little.
Despite being in a spiritual form that was semi-transparent, her beauty was as holy, divine, and angelic as he remembered her, it was almost overwhelming.
"I was stronger than my siblings, born as father's oldest daughter, I possess a greater Fragment of his Brilliance. I could hold on into my energies for much longer… my siblings went to sleep, but I don't feel the necessity," she explained, placing her large hands over his shoulders. "And don't worry, they will wake up one by one eventually, from the oldest to the youngest."
"I-I see…" Frank muttered, feeling slightly flustered.
"Huh?" Michael tilted her head, noticing that Frank was acting strange. "Are you tired, Frank? Perhaps the challenges you faced have made you feverish…"
She gently placed her hand over his forehead, as she felt it was quite hot.
"Hmm, how about you rest for now? Shall I bring you to your bed? How about some cold water? Oh, or perhaps some medicine… Wait, could healing magic work?"
She was too motherly!
"I'm fine on my own… Don't worry." Frank tried to move her hands away, but Michael ended up holding both of his hands together with a gentle smile.
"Frank, you're very hot, let me cool you down, I am an etheric being, so I can change the level of my temperature with ease. Is this coldness better?" Michael wondered, as she held his hands tightly.
"Y-Yes, it's… it's nice…" Frank sighed, as Michael nodded, kissing his forehead. "Eh?!"
"It is a good night kiss, you're still a child at the end, an adorable one," she said. "In ancient times, a kiss in the forehead had many meanings, good fortune, good health, and also an expression of care."
"I understand, but do you have to get so touchy?!" Frank was panicking a little.
"Touchy? Is this not okay by today standards?" Michael tilted her head. "I thought…"
"I-It's okay, just forget it…" Frank quickly freed himself from her grip. "For now, we have to figure out a few things and… Ah, there it is."
Frank sat down over his bed once more, as he finally saw his System reacting to what had happened recently.
Ding!
