Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy

Chapter 2421: Years Passing

Since Momo's competition was of immediate importance, Alex spent most of his time with her, training her on every aspect he had missed as well as doubling down on lessons he had already taught her before.

Momo was now more prepared than ever to take on this competition, with her cultivation base no longer being a hindrance either. She was growing more and more each day, although it was unlikely she would enter the Saint Core realm by the time of the competition.

Since Alex was focused mostly on her, he didn't get the time to help with Whisker's pill. The idea still floated in the back of his mind, needing him to get to it soon enough. There were issues with that pill idea that he needed to fix, which sadly took a lot of time—time he did not have.

He had to spend what time he could on himself as well. In fact, he spent most of the time on himself, only because Momo needed some free time of her own to cultivate, as well as to independently learn what she could.

It took Alex nearly two years before he could pull even more from Momo's schedule and focus on the other things. Two years later, he finally started focusing on Pearl and Whisker.

Since Whisker's pill took time, Alex focused on Pearl first.

Pearl found it difficult to split his Origin. It had little to do with the technique itself, but rather the pain that came with the splitting of Origin.

Unlike Alex, he could already feel the pain with just two splits and found it difficult to continue with two more. As a result, Pearl came to the regrettable decision to stop at just four Origins, as compared to Alex's eight.

Four was still a lot, so Pearl was happy nonetheless. Now, he just needed to decide what they had to be.

"I know I want spear," Pearl said. "I… don't know what else I would want though."

Alex sat in quiet contemplation, wondering what could fit to be Pearl's Creation. Of the four, Alex could only think of two.

Since he wanted Spear, that would have to be one. As for the other one, Alex wanted Pearl to have a Creation that was the Azure Dragon.

"The Azure Dragon?" Pearl asked, suddenly becoming thoughtful. "I… didn't think about that. Is it possible?"

"It is," Alex said. "Although, you would need to find aura belonging to the Azure Dragons first. I don't believe that is something we can gain without going to your grandfather's home realm."

Pearl thought for a bit. "Then we should go there once we find everyone else, brother."

Alex agreed. "As for your other two, I do wonder if you should have a Creation that is focused around Space. Since you can sense the aura, you should be able to absorb it too."

"I can already use the Dao, though," Pearl said. "What good would turning it into a Creation do?"

"There are a few things I can see that you could do with a Space Creation," Alex said. "Alternatively, you don't have to have the Space aura itself be a creation, but some sort of attribute to something else you create. Like a tool. Imagine a Spear that could cut through space."

Pearl paused for a bit. "I see what you mean. I will have to think about it, brother."

"You should," Alex said. "I will leave you to think about it then. Although, I do have advice from Rosemist for what we should do with our Creations. She said that a Creation must be one of two things. It should either be something to fill the gaps in our own skills, or it should be something to complement that which we're already good at."

Pearl listened to those words and thought for a bit. "That means it must either get rid of our weakness or make better our strength, right?"

"That is the gist of it," Alex said. "Think about it. See if you find anything interesting you want to turn into a Creation. Don't be in a rush, though; you have until you enter the Immortal Transcendent realm to think about it. Not like we can do anything about it before that."

The more Alex cultivated and improved his Origin, the more he came to understand that adding aura to the Origin and still continuing to use the Provenance Duality: Division technique was simply impossible.

As a result, he had to wait until he reached the Immortal Transcendent realm before all of his ideas came to fruition.

He had thought about his own Creations during this time, but sadly hadn't managed to think of anything decent that he was dying to have.

Other than the initial six he had planned, he couldn't think of anything more. Even among those, the Sword Creation was an issue as well, as he needed something to complement Midnight, not replace it.

He did have a thought about the technique he had created and if that would be of any help. He would have to think about it when all of this was over.

As time went on, Alex slowly began retracting himself from Momo's lessons. From three whole days a week, he now taught her maybe a day in the entire month.

Momo had managed to learn a few more Fire Dao thanks to Alex's help and was close to learning another one apparently. She was truly becoming independent of Alex's teaching. She had been taught all she could be, and now she was ready to carve her own path.

Finally, Alex had the time to think about Whisker's pill. Due to the pill's complexity, it took him a couple more years of trial and error before he finally managed to fix together a recipe that could help Whisker.

Just like the Fain Immortal Peach Lily, this pill would also help Whisker break through without having to cultivate. Only, unlike the lily, Whisker wouldn't have to wait a thousand years.

He could eat the pill back to back if he so wished too.

Logically speaking, that was not the right thing to do as it would do more harm than good to consume the pill one after another, but it was possible.

Alex made the first pill and gave it to Whisker.

"I just eat it?" Whisker asked.

"Yes," Alex answered. "I copied that flower I told you about."

Whisker nodded. "What about the requirement? Still a thousand years?" he asked.

Alex shook his head. "You can eat whenever you want, although it will be best if you consolidate each of your cultivation bases before you do anything else," he said. "Also, this will only work for the Immortal Ascendant realm. Once you reach the Immortal Origin realm, the energy within these pills wouldn't be enough, but I'm sure I can do something about that. A simple Pill Fusion should be enough to enhance its power to just what I need."

Whisker was excited to hear that. "So then there are no downsides?" he asked.

"None you will have to worry about," Alex said with a bright smile.

Whisker smiled too. "Thank you, brother," he said and ate the pill.
