ETERNAL SLUMBER: THE LAZY LORD WHO RULES THE WORLD

Chapter 38: Chapter 37 – A God’s Desperation

Deep within the Celestial Pantheon, the gods sat in silence, their divine forms flickering as they felt his presence stir once again.

Frank Luminous.

A mortal in name, but an existence beyond their understanding.

Elvaron, the God of Judgment, gritted his teeth. His once unshakable confidence had been reduced to nothing. "We cannot simply wait for him to decide our fate!" His voice, though filled with authority, trembled at the edges.

Thalvion, the God of War, slammed his fist against the divine marble floor, cracking it. "And what do you propose, Elvaron? That we attack again? We barely survived the last encounter."

The tension in the hall thickened. The gods, once revered by mortals as all-powerful beings, now sat in fear of a single man.

The Supreme God, seated on his golden throne, remained still. His golden eyes gleamed as he finally spoke.

"There is one way."

The gods turned to him, hope flickering in their eyes.

"A forbidden method… a divine law even we dare not break," the Supreme God murmured.

Elvaron hesitated. "You mean—"

"Yes." The Supreme God's voice was firm. "We summon the Primordial One."

Silence.

Even the mere mention of that name sent shivers through the divine beings.

"The one who shaped the cosmos," Thalvion muttered. "The being who existed before us…"

The Supreme God nodded. "If anyone can deal with him, it is the Primordial One."

The gods exchanged uncertain glances. To call upon such an entity was to admit their own inferiority.

But what choice did they have?

"…We must prepare the ritual," Elvaron finally said, though his voice lacked conviction.

As they began their forbidden preparations, none of them realized a simple truth—

Frank Luminous already knew.

Far below the celestial realm, Frank sat under the shade of an ancient tree, a peaceful expression on his face as he read his book.

"…Summoning the Primordial One, huh?" He chuckled softly.

Closing his book, he gazed at the sky, golden eyes filled with amusement.

"They really don't learn."
