Chapter 43: Chapter 42 – The Gods’ Reckless Gamble
The celestial realm had never been so quiet.
Even the winds of the divine heavens stood still.
The Supreme God sat on his shattered throne, his once-majestic presence tainted by fear. His hands trembled as he recalled the unfathomable pressure that had crashed down on them mere moments ago.
A single thought echoed in his mind:
"That was just… a warning?"
His golden eyes darted to the other deities gathered before him. They were shaken, pale, and speechless. Even the God of War, the embodiment of battle itself, was clenching his fists to stop them from trembling.
Then, a voice broke the silence.
"We cannot let this continue."
All eyes turned toward the one who spoke—the Goddess of Fate.
She had always been composed, the weaver of destiny, the one who saw all possibilities. But now? Her once-calm expression was filled with something new—desperation.
"You all felt it," she continued, her voice barely above a whisper. "That was no mere show of power. It was a reminder."
The Supreme God's eyes narrowed. "A reminder of what?"
The Goddess of Fate clenched her fists.
"That no matter what we do… he is always in control."
The room grew cold.
The gods had ruled the cosmos for eons, shaping destiny, deciding the fates of mortals, even waging wars amongst themselves. But now? They weren't rulers anymore.
They were just waiting for his next move.
The God of War finally spoke. "Then we make the first move."
The Supreme God turned to him sharply. "Are you insane? We've seen what he can do! We cannot fight him!"
The God of War's lips curled into a bitter smile. "Then we don't fight."
A plan was forming. A reckless, desperate plan.
The gods had long abandoned their ability to interfere directly with the mortal world. But what if… they broke that rule?
What if they gathered their divine essence, merged it into a singular force, and attempted to erase Frank from existence itself?
It was madness.
It was suicide.
But it was the only option left.
And so, for the first time since the dawn of creation…
The gods prepared to break their own laws.

Mortal Realm – Frank's Estate
Frank flipped a page in his book, still lying comfortably under the cherry blossom tree. He let out a small sigh.
"They're really going to try something stupid, huh?"
His golden eyes flickered.
"Well… this should be interesting."
