Chapter 295: The Deal at Sansheng Pavilion

Chapter 295: The Deal at Sansheng Pavilion

In the private room on the second floor.

The woman in the purple dress stood respectfully to the side, pouring tea. “Senior, what would you like? I’ll prepare a list for you right away.”

“Mystic-grade talisman blanks—I need a lot of them.”

Chen Xun’s expression remained calm, but his words carried weight. “This will be a transaction worth at least a million mid-grade spirit stones.”

The woman’s hand trembled, spilling a few drops of tea as she stared in shock. Quickly recovering, she bowed and apologized profusely.

“No need to worry, young lady. Go call your manager to discuss this with me,” Chen Xun said with a gentle wave. The girl’s demeanor reminded him of his own naive past. “I trust the reputation of Sansheng Pavilion.”

“Thank you for your forgiveness, Senior.”

The young woman bowed deeply, showing utmost respect. Nascent Soul cultivators could be unpredictable; a small mistake like hers could have easily cost her the job at Sansheng Pavilion.

She sighed in relief and bowed once more before carefully exiting the room. Such a poised and powerful cultivator deserved his wealth.

Before long.

A veiled woman entered the room, accompanied by two elderly women, both Nascent Soul early-stage cultivators.

Dressed in a light cyan gown, she had long, elegant eyebrows and eyes that shone like stars. Her movements exuded an ancient and graceful air.

When she saw Chen Xun, she hesitated for a moment before speaking with surprise, “Senior, it’s you.”

The two elderly women were startled. When had their young lady become acquainted with such a figure? They had never heard of this before.

Chen Xun raised his head slowly, a slight smile curling his lips as he nodded. “Young lady, it’s you.”

This was the person he had encountered while fishing some time ago, to whom he had given a spiritual herb, forming a small bond.

“Junior Yun Zheng greets Senior.”

“Greetings, Daoist.”

Yun Zheng bowed, and the two elderly women cupped their hands in greeting, their actions impeccable and respectful, making one feel at ease.

Chen Xun returned the greeting and smiled. “I’m here to discuss a big business deal with Miss Yun.”

A smile lingered on his face as he noted the refined demeanor of the younger generation of these major powers—no arrogance, only grace and composure.

“Senior, please have a seat.”

“Please.”

“I heard from the attendant that you are interested in purchasing Mystic-grade talisman blanks worth a million mid-grade spirit stones.”

Yun Zheng’s voice was clear and pleasant, and she performed a tea ceremony as she spoke. “May I ask when you need them? It might take some time to gather such a large quantity.”

She didn’t dare make eye contact with Chen Xun, keeping her head slightly bowed, her posture humble.

A million mid-grade spirit stones were enough resources to elevate a three-spirit-root Qi Refinement cultivator to the Nascent Soul stage. Her heart couldn’t help but race with excitement.

The two elderly women exchanged subtle glances, stepping back a few paces as they exchanged shocked looks. Such a large transaction was indeed a bold move.

“The sooner, the better. I can pay an upfront deposit of three hundred thousand mid-grade spirit stones.”

Chen Xun considered for a moment. While crafting Mystic-grade talisman blanks wasn’t particularly difficult, producing such a large quantity was the challenge. “And I have another business proposal—would Sansheng Pavilion be interested?”

Yun Zheng furrowed her brow slightly, her expression showing hesitation rather than joy. She cautiously asked, “Senior, you must have great trust in Sansheng Pavilion to propose such a transaction.”

“I’ve done my research. Among all the establishments in Guiyi City, Sansheng Pavilion has the best reputation and the resources to handle such high-level transactions.”

Chen Xun paused, taking a sip of his health-preserving tea. “I trust that your pavilion has the capabilities and discretion needed for this.”

In this world, there were no contracts. If one was cheated, they were cheated. However, seeking revenge was simple; he could handle it personally.

Yun Zheng looked up slightly, sensing the confidence in Chen Xun’s demeanor. It wasn’t a facade but a genuine assurance of his own power.

She smiled faintly. “Senior, you jest. What is the other business proposal?”

Chen Xun pulled out a list from his storage ring and glanced at the two elderly women. They felt a chill run down their spines, as if something terrifying was watching them.

Cold sweat trickled down their foreheads, and they lowered their heads even further, the atmosphere in the room becoming oppressive.

Yun Zheng’s eyes narrowed, sensing the shift in the room’s mood. This senior...

She quickly shifted her gaze to the paper, her pupils dilating as she read. These were forbidden items—materials for a large teleportation array!

“Senior... this might be... difficult.”

“I’ll pay extra—ten percent above market price.”

“But…”

“Twenty percent.”

“No…”

“Thirty percent.”

“Senior…”

“Forty percent!”

“Very well. I’ll give it a try.”

Yun Zheng’s eyes widened, and even her veil fluttered as her face flushed slightly. If this deal went through, it could elevate her family’s status significantly.

Her breathing quickened as she realized the potential risks involved. She would need to discuss this with her family.

“Senior, may I have three months?”

“Take this transmission jade slip. Use your spiritual energy to activate it when the time comes.”

Chen Xun handed over a jade slip from his storage ring, along with a pouch filled with spirit stones. “I look forward to hearing good news from you, Miss Yun.”

With that, he stood up, his demeanor as calm as ever, treating the spirit stones as if they were nothing.

“Safe travels, Senior.”

“Farewell, Daoist.”

The two elderly women bowed low, the previous moment leaving a shadow in their hearts—they were no match for this person.

After Chen Xun left, Yun Zheng remained seated, her eyes deep in thought. She was already planning her next steps, not wanting the other two merchant guilds to get involved.

A moment later, she burned the paper, turning it to ashes.

“Young Miss... that Daoist is no ordinary figure; we must not offend him.”

“Indeed, regarding the large teleportation array, we must be discreet. If certain people dig too deeply, it could lead to trouble.”

Both women looked tense. A large teleportation array had the potential to traverse vast distances, and its implications were significant. They dared not speculate further.

Yun Zheng nodded gently. “I will discuss this with my father and handle it carefully. Securing this senior’s friendship is far more valuable than mere business.”

The elderly women nodded in agreement. This person was no rogue cultivator; forming a connection with him would be beneficial in the long run.

At Sansheng Pavilion’s first floor.

Brother Ox and Xiao Chi were still browsing through the Qi Refinement and Foundation Establishment items, engaged in an animated discussion.

They were so absorbed in their conversation that they didn’t notice Chen Xun’s approach from behind—partly because he had concealed his aura, planning to tease them.

*Whack!*

A sudden slap landed on the back of both their heads. Xiao Chi was instantly enraged, ready to lash out.

Xiao Chi spun around furiously—who dared to bully spirit beasts in the city? Was there no justice?!

With Brother Chen’s backing, he was determined to drag this offender to a secluded spot outside the city and teach them a lesson, showing them the true might of his elder brother.

Brother Ox, equally angered, turned as well. Just because they were browsing the first floor didn’t mean they were low-level spirit beasts. Fighting in the city—did no one respect the rules anymore?!
