Extra's Harem: Invincibility Starts with Marriage and lots of Children

Chapter 13: Chapter 13 - First Wife?

[Thunder Wolf bloodline, Lightning-Infused physique, 95 years of cultivation, Aegis Qi, Thunderstrike Talisman artifact.]

[Iron Bear bloodline, Stonehide physique, 80 years of cultivation, Aegis Qi, Demonward Amulet artifact.]

[Earth Titan bloodline, Mountainheart physique, 300 years of cultivation, Earthen Core Qi, Staff of the Ancients artifact.]

[Inferno Phoenix bloodline, Blazing Ashes physique, 50 years of cultivation, Inferno Qi, Flametongue Sword artifact.]

'This?' My eyes shifted toward the six individuals, including Kyle, the old man, and the four cloaked figures. Several windows popped up over their bodies, revealing their stats.

For now, I focused on four of them, as I have already seen the other two. The cloaked ones seem to share similar physical traits, likely belonging to the Exorcism Clan.

Perhaps because I paid attention to small details, I remembered that members of the Exorcism Clan or Sect possessed Aegis Qi.

This commonality among the four figures led me to conclude that they were exorcist cultivators, and that the old man, with his 300 years of cultivation energy, was incredibly strong too.

Not only him, but even Kyle seemed just three layers weaker than the old man.

If not for his entanglement with the princess's schemes, Kyle could have easily returned to his house and reclaimed his position as the head of the Arctus family.

'How do I collect it?' I asked the system how to gather the bloodlines, physiques, and other details displayed on the screen.

After all, the system's primary function was to collect these attributes from individuals the host killed.

However, there was a major catch: I could only bestow these attributes to my wives or children, not use them myself.

It was ironic.

Despite the system being called the 'Invincible Domain System' in the original story, it provided strength to the host's wives or children, not the host directly.

But in my case, things were different.

For some reason, the instant death ability had become part of my domain.

There was a glaring weakness, though.

Anyone could easily kill me from a distance, which is why I needed to expand my domain.

The larger my domain, the less vulnerable I would be to long-range attacks, as anyone within it would have their life at my mercy.

[Host, you can only observe the given stats within your domain.]

'...As expected.' I vaguely recalled this from the novel's plot. Whoever I killed would drop their stats—bloodline, physique, internal energy, key type, and more—like loot in a game or experience points.

However, to absorb these attributes, even if I couldn't use them myself, they needed to be within my domain.

Right now, my domain only extended slightly above my skin.

Not just touching the domain—they had to be fully within it.

:: Just insert that sword into your ass— ::

'Shut up, idiot.' Ignoring the voice above my head, I tried to think of a solution. I couldn't just let six treasures lie in front of me wasted in vain.

'!'

Suddenly, a realization struck me, causing an unconscious smile to instinctively form.

'Now that I think about it...' If expanding my domain required marriage, wasn't there a woman nearby?

Of course, a woman without anything womanly except her body, which had now also vanished.

:: Why do I feel a cold on my back? ::

'...' Hearing her words, as if she could sense my thoughts, I paused for a moment, a smirk forming on my face. If she had so much pride in herself and always looked down on me with her trashy mouth, what would happen if she were to marry the very filth she despised?

'System, check her qualifications.' Not that I had any interest in this worm-like mosquito, but to survive in this world, I needed to expand my domain, which was only possible by marrying qualified wives.

:: Why do you smell like shit, human? ::

'You vomited on me just a moment ago, bitch.' I cursed, knowing she didn't care what I said. But I also knew she would definitely care about what I would do next.

[Host, are you sure?]

Even though the system itself acknowledged it was a bad choice, I had no other option.

Expanding my domain was crucial, and searching for a qualified woman outside to propose to would take time—time I didn't have.

Not that I had any excitement to marry this woman, but the excitement born from the fact that she would be marrying me.

[ Valeriana Yamitri, Qualification=100% ]

'!?!'

'What!?', I was visibly taken aback, considering how I had read through the novel until the end. I had never once seen, no matter how strong a woman was, a qualification above 95, considering this qualification was based on the compatibility of both individuals in a sense where women's strength naturally, the more in ratio with the host, the more qualified she would be.

But 100?

It was absurd and ridiculous.

[ IT'S RIDICULOUS! ]

'Of course it is', Seeing even the system of Armin with me, it was clear that this was not due to some technical error but indeed this woman-like creature really possessed such a qualification.

But how?

:: 100? Why not 101 or something? I am more than qualified, but exactly for what? ::

Hearing it, uttering those words before lying over my head with her back as if using me like a pillow, I felt as though this whole reality was a joke, considering I had, in desperation, chosen this woman to have my domain expanded, but somehow she came out to have the most qualified woman ever in the novel universe for me. It was as if....as if even God wanted to have her taught some manners by becoming my wife.

'Good, very good, I accept your orders, dear God. System, I choose her as my first wife!'

:: What the hell! What am I?! A Pokénon! ::

I didn't care for a second as I felt her shoting up, sitting over my head as she was clearly taken aback, realizing what I had just said, given it was inevitable no matter how much she protested.

[ Initiating marriage bond, do you accept to marry Host? Not that your consent matters! ]

:: Fine, whatever ::

[....]

'Huh?', I seemed to halt, blinking as unlike what I expected, to perform another set of yoga, to force her to accept the marriage. I suddenly heard her accepting everything without any retaliation.

'Did she just really accept me as her husband?', I reached for my ears, clearing them, though of course I heard it. But it was completely hard to believe how until now she had looked down on me and unlike what I expected her to feel clearly angered and all, she just accepted it.

[ Fine then, Initiating_marriage_bond ]

'I reject'

[ ERROR ]

[ Host? ]

'I need time to think', It was clearly an unexpected thing, folding my hands as I sat while contemplating the reason why she accepted the marriage this easily. It was indigestible for me. There was something wrong with all this.

It was impossible for her to just accept everything by lowering her self-esteem, given how she had acted as if I was nothing but an ant until now.

'Why did you accept this easily?', I inquired, already knowing not to expect an answer from her, but instead a simple fake excuse to manipulate me.

:: Then I reject ::

As expected, she said those words which she hoped would ignite me into saying that I would marry like some child playing a game of confusion, but I was already focused on the main reason for her to reject.

'Hm, now that I think of it, you seemed hell-bent on informing the system that I was fake.' It was odd, but now thinking about it, I noticed how she, who should have been uncaring about the novel plot, where it should not matter to her what I received, seemed to be trying to stop me from getting the system for some reason.

[ Be more clear, host. A fake information ]

'Are you a fool? I am really not Kyle.' I was not in the mood to speak the same thing to the system all the time, but rather was focused on the mosquito who initially, when she heard my words of taking her as a wife, was surprised. But suddenly, after thinking for a moment, she accepted it.

:: I don't understand what you mean. ::

Again, that bland yet ignoring tone, as if trying to hide something from me, reached my ears.

Considering the distance between her and my ears, it was crystal clear from her tone that she was trying to change the direction of things as soon as possible, causing me to smirk, as knowing what I needed to do, I added, 'You said I should just take this sword in me. How about this?'

Though I knew it was going to hurt, I moved before using my finger on the blade of the sword, brushing my fingers against it instantly and causing a big cut instead of a small cut, which I had expected.

"Ugh," I winced; for a normal office employee, it was my first time getting myself sliced on my own accord until bones was visible—the blade was too sharp; I messed up slightly.

:: Ouch! What you did, bastard, my fingers! ::

'....Pfft.' Instead of the pain from my finger, which was sliced by a blade with a good amount of blood trickling, I just couldn't help but chuckle, realizing the reason this woman was so easy in accepting this marriage was that her life was now linked with me.

"Hahahaha, now I will show you—"

[ Host, you will get tetanus if not healed the wound. ]
