Eyes Of Broken Lilies

Chapter 16: [ The Antomy Of Fear ]

"N-No, please don't do this... we beg you!!"

The woman's voice trembled, her body barely able to move. She crawled backward on the blood-slick floor, her hair soaked and clinging to her bruised skin. Her severed hand...cut clean with the lash of living blades...lay discarded like trash beside her.

The man beside her gasped, throat bubbling with blood. A deep gash across his windpipe throbbed with every strangled breath. He was dying...but Kirihito didn't allow death that easily. Not yet.

"Hehe... why so scared, my lovely insects?"

Kirihito tilted his head with an eerily wide grin, eyes shadowed, his beauty distorted by a serpentine grotesqueness. His jaw stretched subtly, unnaturally, like a mouth used to swallowing things whole. A flick of his tongue caught the air...tasting their fear, their rot, their fading hope.

"I could hear your empty stomachs crying... just like that forgotten child and his mother once did."

His voice softened, a thread of sadness piercing the madness.

"She… she was the last one. The last human whose heartbeat I wanted to keep safe. I don't remember much… just broken pieces."

A flash. Laughter...too loud, too cruel. A woman's face blurred and bleeding. A child's small body shaking, cradling a severed head, sobbing soundlessly, as if his lungs didn't know how to cry. Pain stitched through Kirihito's mind like needles...the memories were too dark , too fast and too much..unfamiliar yet familiar at the same time that his body reacting in a way he's struggling to keep his compose .

He staggered, coughing blood into his hand. His body swayed as he braced himself against the wall, gripping it like a man clinging to what little clarity remained.he roughly cleaned his mouth by the back of his hand , the white sleeve gets dark red by his bloody , spreading because of the wetness because his cloth is already wet His voice came out cracked...

"Get out of my head... stop it... it feels like needles, stabbing my skull..."

The woman, noticing the brief vulnerability, reached shakily for a hidden knife. Her fingers quivered...whether from fear, desperation, or... something else, it wasn't clear. She lunged.

But Kirihito's hair reacted faster. It whipped through the air, slicing once again. A scream was cut short as her second hand hit the floor beside the first.

He blinked back into reality, breathing heavily. Then, coldly, he lifted a boot and slammed it down on her mouth, her head snapping back into the blood-stained floor. She twitched once, then lay still...barely alive. The man finally passed out from blood loss, collapsing like a broken puppet.

Kirihito inhaled through fanged teeth, his lips peeling back. His mouth opened wide....inhumanly wide...even more then before. venom glinting from a red two headed tongue as venomous snakes...Veins pulsed along his neck like coiled snakes, darker now than ever.

His voice deepened...distorted, layered...as if something ancient was speaking through him:

"Didn't I tell you not to scream? Or act clever? You made me reveal another face... see? It doesn't even hurt anymore... my body learns new tricks by feeding on filth like you."

He crouched down, pressing his heel against the woman's chest.

"Don't die yet. I'm not done. Wake up, or I'll wake you in ways you won't enjoy."

He dragged their battered bodies toward the front of the house like dolls, arranging them in twisted poses. The floor pooled red around them, and the air thickened with rot and metallic heat.

Kirihito pushed in the whole bucket of rotten food into their mouth one by one . Then he knees down near to the women with a dark and slow smirk..his covered eyes scanning her body like something new..his teisted interest on her breasts..as he murmured in both dark yet innocent way ,

" those meatbags feels heavy right ? I should remove that extra weight "

He cuts both breasts like breads , takes at both hands..sizing those casually .

" one is bigger then another..maybe it didn't got much protein..they doesn't sharetheor food with others yet loom.. how weak and thin they are..easy to break..like twigs.."

And then came the art.

Bones. Strings of flesh. He made a pair of necklaces by bones he got from those ripped off hands .The man's heart carved out and discarded. The woman's body arranged in a way that blurred humiliation and grotesque justice. One breast into mouth and another between legs , made sure her legs are spread open and everything is on display. Kirihito worked with the precision of a butcher and the vision of a disturbed poet.

He took a dull knife and began writing on their skin...deep enough to mark, shallow enough to keep the corpses intact:

"Lustful Insects"

"Rice Problem Solved"

"Heat Removed Forever"...in half Chinese and half Japanese

On a nearby paper, he dipped the tip of his hair in blood and scrawled:

"Torturing is more painful than death."

With a final flourish, he placed a dried red spider lily beside the message, its petals like frozen drops of fire.

Kirihito stepped back, his eyes scanning the scene with chilling satisfaction.

"Pity. You should've stayed quiet. You were already lucky I gave you time to beg."

He turned to leave, pausing at the broken flower pot by the door. From within, he retrieved a single white spider lily, still intact despite the chaos. He tucked it behind his ear, his fingers stained crimson.

The rain outside greeted him with silence as he disappeared once more into the thick woods of Fukaki Forest, the storm washing away his scent.

[Present Time]

The River water softly rolled down from his skin as he raises his hand . Kirihito sat still, gazing at that same white spider lily, now dried and crumbling...yet wet with the water..

The white snake curled lazily around his wrist, its eyes closed.

He whispered to it...not expecting an answer.

"Some murders... they leave an ache in your chest. And some... they let you breathe."

He smiled faintly. The kind of smile that could mean sorrow. Or peace. Or both.
