Fairy, Please Forgive Me, I Never Meant to Impersonate Your Husband

Chapter 23 - The Foreign Girl

Chapter 23: The Foreign Girl

Since Wu Yuan had called ahead, a blonde foreign woman in a professional suit was already waiting for him when he arrived at the securities firm.

After sitting down, the woman got straight to the point, speaking fluent Longxia Mandarin:

“Mr. Wu, I’m Aria. You mentioned on the phone that you wanted to invest five million in U.S. stocks through our company, is that correct?”

Wu Yuan was dressed plainly. If not for the limited-edition phone in his hand, the suited blonde wouldn’t have even bothered showing up, let alone speaking to him politely.

“Yes,” Wu Yuan nodded. “But I need five times leverage.”

Aria’s expression changed immediately. She shook her head. “Impossible. You have no trading history with us. Even with five million, we can’t approve such high leverage. It’s against regulations!”

“Five times leverage means a 16.6% drop would wipe out your principal. If you’re shorting, the same applies to a rise. We might not even have time to liquidate—the risk is astronomical.”

“If you can’t make the decision, find someone who can. I’ll pay 12% annual interest on the leverage,” Wu Yuan said calmly.

Aria disliked his assertiveness, but handing this over to someone else, even her superior—meant losing the commission. After a quick risk assessment, she gritted her teeth.

“Fifteen percent. I can arrange the leverage through an American bank. It’ll be ready within the first hour of tonight’s market opening.”

The fee was within Wu Yuan’s limits, but he still pretended to think for two minutes before decisively saying:

“Deal.”

Aria immediately prepared the contracts, though she first needed proof of Wu Yuan’s five million. He waved his hand.

“Let’s go. There’s a bank downstairs.”

The result, naturally, satisfied Aria.

In fact, seeing nearly eight million in Wu Yuan’s account only strengthened her confidence in proceeding.

Next, Aria took Wu Yuan to a partnered foreign bank to open a premium savings account. Wu Yuan quickly transferred five million into it.

Only then did they return to the securities firm to sign the formal investment documents.

The entire process took two hectic hours.

Aria downloaded a dedicated trading app onto Wu Yuan’s phone—all future trades could now be done remotely.

When they said goodbye, the blonde gave him a tight hug.

Wu Yuan, however, felt a little frustrated—because he was pretty sure he’d just been flirted with.

Aria’s figure was too good. That hug alone made him acutely aware of the weapons hidden under her professional attire, and they felt natural, unrestrained by any bra. Combined with the youthful firmness of her skin, it was an irresistible temptation.

But Wu Yuan held back. He wasn’t delusional enough to think a few million made him eligible to pounce on a woman like her.

Beautiful women weren’t that easy to get. Maybe if he added two more zeros to his bank balance.

If he tried anything now, there was a 99% chance he’d get slapped—hard.

Of course, some might say, Why not try? Dreams are free, what if it works?

Wu Yuan would just say he wasn’t that desperate. Besides, if she was the type to jump into bed after one meeting, she wouldn’t be worth his time anyway.

It was a contradictory mindset—what came too easily wasn’t valued, while the unattainable became an obsession.

At its core, it was just human nature being… human nature.

Due to the time difference with the U.S., he couldn’t start trading immediately—the market hadn’t opened yet.

With half a day left before he could log into the Tianyuan World at 2 a.m., he decided to explore the city.

He was only about ten blocks from Wangshu Valley, so he walked.

On one hand, he wanted to reconnect with the city, avoiding the detachment that came from spending too much time in the Tianyuan World.

On the other, he was hunting for new investment opportunities. His savings card still held over two million—money he’d set aside for a future high-growth sector, though he hadn’t settled on a specific target yet.

After an hour of walking, he felt no fatigue. His body was much stronger now.

Just as the high-rise of his residence came into view—still without any investment leads—he spotted a familiar figure.

Long legs wrapped in black yoga pants, each step sending hypnotic curves rippling like a siren’s call.

That silhouette was unmistakable—Su Ruoqing, the woman he’d had breakfast with that morning.

He looked up at the building she entered, thoughtful.

Su Ruoqing was probably heading to the gym—and fitness was one of his potential investment directions.

In the future, as the Tianyuan World’s influence deepened, fitness and martial arts would become as essential as eating and drinking, creating massive opportunities in the industry.

Wasn’t this perfect timing?

He’d been indecisive earlier, but now fate had dropped the opportunity in his lap.

He immediately followed her inside.

Su Ruoqing entered a gym on the tenth floor.

Coincidentally, a “For Sale” notice was plastered right at the entrance.

Wu Yuan walked straight to the manager to discuss.

The manager, hearing his interest, quickly called the owner.

The owner—a bespectacled middle-aged man named Hu Tianyou—arrived in under twenty minutes, his demeanor polite and refined.

“Mr. Wu, to be frank, I wouldn’t be selling this gym—along with the property—if I didn’t urgently need capital for another venture.”

“This building was constructed six or seven years ago, so it’s still relatively new. The gym faces south, a prime location, covering 3,500 square meters—half the floor. I’m only asking 40,000 per square meter, and the gym itself is practically a freebie.”

“Bring 140 million, and the entire package is yours. Of course, transaction taxes are separate.”

140 million?! Wu Yuan frowned. He only had two million in his pocket—the gap was taller than a skyscraper.

He did like the gym. The location, facilities, and building management were all high-end. The gym’s equipment and decor were nearly new, easily worth over five million alone.

Plus, it was near Century Park, with a Tianyuan Stele at the nearby riverside green space—future growth was guaranteed.

He just hadn’t expected the owner to be selling the entire property. That complicated things.

140 million wasn’t impossible for him—he could get far more—but it would violate his principle of keeping his Tianyuan World assets hidden.

Now wasn’t the time to sell Tianyuan gold either—it would draw too much attention.

“Honestly, the price is fair… but 140 million isn’t small change. I’ll need time to arrange funds.”

After a moment’s thought, Wu Yuan decided the opportunity was too good to pass up. His U.S. stock investments tonight should easily cover this amount.

He steeled himself and extended three fingers.

“Three months. No bank loans, I’ll pay the full amount upfront.”

Hu Tianyou hesitated.
