Chapter 62: Chapter 62 Obtaining The Dragon-Slaying Magic Crystal

Luffy cards.

A natural rubber man, not afraid of electricity at all. This was also the reason why Caesar dared to come to Thunder Marsh to collect Thunder Marsh Flowers.

But even so, Caesar waited at the bottom of the thunder marsh for three days and three nights. When his chest was pressed against his back from hunger, he finally saw the Thunder Marsh Flowers bloom.

Caesar quickly collected ten blooming Thunder Marsh Flowers, sealed the fractures with magic power, and stored them in his game backpack.

Then he swam out of the thunder swamp, took out dry food and water from his backpack, and ate in large gulps.

After eating and drinking, Caesar recovered some of his magic power and ensured he was in peak condition. After replacing the Luffy card, he successfully left the Blight Swamp using the same route, bringing the Thunder Marsh Flowers with him.

He found Adrian.

Adrian was stunned that Caesar had actually managed to collect the Thunder Marsh Flowers.

After all, he issued this commission every year, and every year he only heard of failures—some S-class wizards even died in the Blight Swamp.

To be honest, Adrian had given up all hope, but out of habit, he still posted the commission.

He never expected it to succeed this time.

And Caesar brought back ten of them!

Used sparingly, Adrian wouldn't need to worry about Thunder Marsh Flowers for at least three years.

Overjoyed, Adrian gave Caesar the Dragon Slayer Magic Crystal and even added a bottle of potion.

"The danger of embedding the Dragon Slayer Magic Crystal is very high. Many have tried, but the failure rate is over 90%."

Adrian handed the potion to Caesar and said, "This potion was developed by me. It can improve the success rate of embedding the Dragon Slayer Magic Crystal. I hope you use it. If you decide to sell it, including the potion should raise the crystal's value."

"Then why don't you sell it yourself?"

Caesar didn't refuse. After taking the potion and crystal, he asked Adrian.

"I don't have time, and I don't like dealing with people."

Adrian smiled. "My dream is to become a pharmacist who can create medicine to restore the disabled. That's all I care about."

Looking at Adrian's awkward smile, Caesar silently admired him. People like him—odd, but persistent—are the reason the world progresses.

After saying farewell to Adrian, Caesar boarded the train back to Magnolia.

In the car, he rubbed the Dragon Slayer Magic Crystal, which was about the size of his fist.

Through constant sensing, Caesar discovered that this was a rare crystal with spatial attributes.

If it were a different attribute, Caesar would have probably sold it for j to draw more cards.

But spatial attribute—even basic teleportation—would significantly boost his combat system.

So Caesar began seriously considering whether he should use it.

Every wizard in the world doesn't only learn one type of magic—it just depends on what they're good at.

For example, Mirajane uses take over magic but also learned transformation magic.

Mastering one more type of magic is a great way to enhance one's power, as long as it doesn't conflict with your main combat style.

"I use take over magic because of my card game—it was easy to learn. But for other types of magic, without that blessing, learning speed is way too slow. I can't compare it to take over magic. But a Dragon Slayer Magic Crystal... once embedded, I can use dragon-slaying magic right away. It's a true shortcut."

Caesar murmured in his heart, his desire to keep the crystal growing stronger.

As for the risk of failure—he wasn't too worried.

There were success stories. He planned to ask Laxus for advice and see what precautions he should take.

"Is this the Dragon Slayer Magic Crystal?"

At the Fairy Tail guild, Caesar was eating a feast, trying to make up for the meals he had missed.

Everyone gathered around, marveling at the crystal Caesar had brought back.

"Caesar, are you planning to embed that crystal yourself?"

Master looked at Caesar and asked.

"Right."

Stuffing his mouth with steak, Caesar nodded. "I used my magic power to examine it. This Dragon Slayer Magic Crystal has spatial properties. It can make up for gaps in my combat abilities. Overall, the pros outweigh the cons."

"But have you thought this through? If you fail, it could hurt you permanently."

Master asked seriously. "Are you prepared for that?"

"I've thought about it. That's why I want to consult with Laxus—learn what to be careful about during the embedding process."

Caesar replied plainly, and Master nodded.

Natsu, who had finished examining the crystal, turned to Caesar. "So if you embed this, you'll become a Dragon Slayer like me?"

"Maybe. But we'll have to see how it reacts once I embed the crystal."

Caesar spoke calmly, keeping a few of his guesses to himself.

After eating, Caesar borrowed a communication tool and contacted Laxus, who was out on a mission.

"You want to embed a Dragon Slayer Magic Crystal?"

The projection of Laxus paused for a moment. He pointed to the lightning scar by his left eye.

"What I felt was unbearable pain—like my body being torn apart by lightning. If I didn't already have lightning magic, I don't think I would have survived the fusion."

"So it requires strong physical endurance and magical compatibility to increase the chances of success, right?"

Caesar asked.

"That's all I know. If you want real details, you'd have to ask my useless dad. He ran most of the tests."

Laxus said flatly.

As for finding Ivan?

Not happening. Even if Caesar tried to force answers from him, that guy would still sabotage him.

So Caesar didn't trust him at all.

In the end, Caesar contacted Crawford and asked about embedding the Dragon Slayer Magic Crystal.

After learning the details, Crawford immediately asked Caesar to visit the Magic Council. They had extensive experience and could boost the success rate to 60%!

Crawford's words reminded Caesar of someone—Serena.

She had eight Dragon Slayer Magic Crystals embedded in her.

With experience embedding all eight, the Magic Council truly did have the expertise to help Caesar succeed.
