Fairy Tail: Becoming stronger by spending money.

Chapter 80: Chapter 80 Mystogan’s Request For Help

A month had passed since the harvest season, and the weather was starting to get cooler.

Caesar yawned and sat on the main seat of a resurrected dark guild called the Corpse. He crossed his legs and looked at the knocked-out dark guild members below. He said helplessly, "I told you, don't resist. Resist, and it's over. Do you know the consequences?"

At this moment, following Caesar's gaze and looking at the surrounding buildings, it seemed as if the place had been ravaged by an 18-level strong wind. There was nothing left.

"Don't be lazy. Things are suppressed here. Come over and help."

Mirajane called out to Caesar, who immediately stood up and went to help her search for loot.

After the search was completed, Caesar found some ropes and tied up all the members.

After handing everything over to the people of the Magic Council, Caesar and Mirajane returned. After selling the loot and collecting the mission reward, they made a total of 36 million J.

"You still have a keen sense of smell."

Mirajane smiled and shared the money with Caesar. "Since the Magic Council started cracking down on dark guilds, Caesar, you always manage to find the fattest targets."

"Say it like I'm a bloodhound."

Caesar flicked Mirajane's smooth forehead with his finger and said smugly, "Nothing but familiarity."

Caesar had fought against many dark guilds over the years, so practice made perfect. From some clues, he could tell whether a dark guild was rich or not.

After members of the Fairy Tail guild discovered this, they often came to Caesar for advice, asking whether they should accept certain crusade missions and whether it would be profitable.

Caesar never hid anything. He described everything truthfully. Of course, he made mistakes sometimes.

But even so, Caesar's predictions were accurate over 70% of the time. So even when he was wrong, others didn't complain and still came to him for help.

Because of this, the Fairy Tail Guild earned a lot during the large-scale crackdown on dark guilds led by the Magic Council.

Caesar's popularity in the guild grew even stronger.

Just as Caesar and Mirajane were about to return to the guild, Caesar suddenly felt something. He paused for a moment and said to Mirajane, "Mira, I have something to take care of. You should go back to the guild first."

"Do you need help?"

Mirajane didn't ask for details, only whether he needed her support.

"No, I can handle it."

"Okay, I'll go back first. Remember to come back early."

Mirajane trusted Caesar completely. She walked up to him, stood on tiptoes, kissed his cheek, and then boarded the return train.

Caesar watched her leave, then light flashed across his body as he used Wu Kong Technique. Floating into the air, Caesar sensed his target's direction and flew like a shooting star!

"I hope I can make it in time."

After Mystogan put magic power into the kunai, he put it away.

Then, like a magic trick, he threw out seven glowing magic wands. These wands floated, emitting powerful magical waves.

With a wave, colorful magic arrays unfolded.

Each circle glowed uniquely, overlapping into a magnificent seven-layered formation like an indestructible fortress, locking the target in the sky.

The sky filled with dark clouds like a massive curtain covering the world.

In the center, a vortex formed, like a mysterious eye watching the earth below.

It was a rift.

After years of shutting down small rifts, the people of Edolas must've noticed and decided to open a massive one.

This large-scale rift caught Mystogan off guard.

Thinking of the kunai Caesar gave him, he poured magic into it, hoping for the best.

Caesar sensed it and arrived.

As Mystogan struggled to hold the rift back, Caesar landed beside him, confident and composed.

"You came just in time. Help me. I only need to delay it a bit more and I can seal the rift!"

"How can I help?"

"Attack the rift!"

"OK."

Caesar flew into the air, looked at the swirling rift, and shouted, "The roar of the space dragon!"

The space tore apart instantly. A beam of energy shot into the center of the rift.

The spinning clouds stopped. Time froze.

"Very good!"

Mystogan saw this and pushed the seven-layered magic circle upward, sealing the rift.

It was almost done.

But the rift suddenly expanded in fury. With immense force, it charged toward the magic array!

"I won't let you succeed!"

Mystogan gritted his teeth and maxed out his magic output. Still, the seal only held the rift in place.

"Hey, Mystogan."

Caesar noticed the struggle. "Didn't you say your world has no magic? Is there a way for me to use mine there?"

"Yes, there is. If that's okay with you, go for it!"

Mystogan tossed Caesar a small bottle with a pill and a fragment of magic crystal.

"Take the pill and you'll be able to use your magic in Edolas. But the regeneration will be very slow. I've carved a teleportation array into the magic crystal. Crush it, and it'll teleport you back."

"I understand. How long does the teleportation last?"

"Three days max."

"Okay, I'll return as soon as possible. I want to look around your world."

Caesar took the pill, stored the magic crystal fragment, and flashed toward the rift.

"Be careful, Caesar!"

"Worry about yourself!"

Caesar smirked and vanished into the rift.

Once inside, the rift began absorbing magic power and weakening.

Mystogan seized the moment, amplified his magic, and the seven-layer seal covered the rift completely, sealing the portal.

The seven wands fell, and Mystogan collapsed from exhaustion.

As the clouds faded and calm returned to the sky, he sighed. "I hope nothing bad happens."

Struggling to his feet, Mystogan picked up his staff and prepared to return to the guild.

He had to inform Master Makarov of what had just happened — if anything did go wrong, the guild had to be ready.
