Fairy Tail Destiny

Chapter 315: Ch 315 : Through

Tsukiyo panted slightly, a drop of sweat sliding down from her forehead along her cheek.

The magical energy fluctuations around her were slightly chaotic due to the intense consumption, but in contrast, the coldness in her pupils grew even more chilling and dangerous.

"Suppressed," the word appeared in Tsukiyo's mind for the first time.

As the second throne of the Demon God's Soul, she had almost reached the peak of humanity.

The idea of being suppressed by an enemy had never happened to her before.

Even the first throne, Lance, could only defeat her by a hair's breadth.

This was the first time Tsukiyo had ever experienced being fully suppressed.

"The realm of the gods is beyond the reach of mortals."

Tsukiyo murmured to herself, then turned her gaze back to Noel.

"It's been five minutes. The probing should be over now. Next, I will face Lord Nord who is getting serious. The real test is about to begin."

"It can't be delayed any longer."

On the other side, Noel exhaled lightly, a flash of light flickering in his pupils.

The situation now required them to race against time, leaving no room for further delay.

Therefore, resolving the battle as quickly as possible was his current goal.

The magical fluctuations around him grew stronger, the dazzling light almost enveloping his entire body.

Noel looked at Tsukiyo, whose expression had become serious, and spoke softly, "Though it may be a bit rude, I can't continue to tangle with you here. I have more important matters to attend to."

"I won't let you get away that easily." Tsukiyo raised her black sword, coldly declaring.

"I never expected you to let me pass easily," Noel raised his fist, and in an instant, countless swords of light rained down toward Tsukiyo.

(Can't dodge!)

Seeing the overwhelming number of attacks, Tsukiyo immediately made her judgment in her mind.

However, she didn't panic at all.

Instead, she slowly raised her black sword.

"[Seven Deadly Sins - Pride]."

Boom!

Suddenly, countless sword rains, identical to the ones Noel had unleashed, appeared behind Tsukiyo.

Without hesitation, they collided with Noel's attack, shattering into fragments and scattering in all directions.

In the falling light feathers, Noel's eyes widened slightly.

"Copy? No, wait... it's... a simulation?" Noel raised an eyebrow slightly.

After shattering Noel's attack, Tsukiyo didn't stop.

She charged toward him with her black sword raised.

She slashed down from above, and Noel swiftly dodged, instantly forming a sword of light.

As Tsukiyo's black blade descended, the sword's edge shot directly toward her neck.

Tsukiyo's pupils constricted slightly.

At the critical moment, she tilted her neck just enough to avoid the fatal blow.

However, the right side of her neck still bore a deep wound.

A flicker of coldness flashed in Tsukiyo's eyes.

Dark magical energy gathered and compressed around her, then exploded outwards with force: "[Origin Sin]!"

Boom!

Noel's consciousness blurred for an instant.

A soul-shattering pain surged through every corner of his body.

There were no warnings, no magical principles at work—his body was overwhelmed by the pain.

Struggling to endure the discomfort, Noel leaped backward, distancing himself from Tsukiyo.

He slightly bent forward, panting heavily.

"What... is this?" Noel narrowed his eyes slightly as he looked at Tsukiyo.

At that moment, Tsukiyo wasn't in good shape either.

After delivering the strike to Noel, she was half-kneeling on the ground, head lowered, lips tightly bitten, her expression unreadable—as if enduring something.

Her body trembled slightly, and only after a few seconds did she finally relax a little.

"[Origin Sin]—one of the ultimate techniques of the Seven Deadly Sin magic. By releasing a massive amount of magical power all at once as a medium, it delivers punishment to both the caster and the target. Both must endure retribution proportional to their own sins. My strength is still insufficient, so in the end, this is the best I can manage..." Tsukiyo said slowly, enunciating each word clearly.

(Have we... already reached the very edge of the rules? Truly astounding.)

Noel took a deep breath, still feeling the lingering pain in his body, and unconsciously clenched his fists.

"I cannot stop your advance," Tsukiyo said as she staggered to her feet.

Though disheveled, an intensely dangerous aura emanated from her, making Noel grow even more cautious.

"I'm well aware of that fact. But even knowing this outcome was decided long ago, I have no intention of letting you through so easily."

Tsukiyo lifted her head, and suddenly, a blue flame ignited in her right eye.

She looked coldly at Noel and softly muttered, "[Origin Sin]."

Boom—space behind Tsukiyo shattered.

A foul, dark substance erupted from the rupture, a miasma so sinister and corrupted it defied all description.

It was a torrent of sin and malevolence that immediately enveloped Tsukiyo's body—leaving only her head exposed.

"Go..."

A pained expression twisted Tsukiyo's face.

Just uttering that single word seemed to drain every last ounce of her strength.

At her command, the dark torrent surged with renewed fury, almost exploding forward as it rushed toward Noel.

Within the foul flood, distorted human faces could faintly be seen writhing in agony.

"Seems like it," Noel murmured, watching the dark, filthy torrent rushing toward him.

There wasn't a trace of emotion on his face—only the slight, creeping curl of his lips.

A twisted smile that was part scorn, part hatred.

"Just like that blood pool in my memories... and those years of darkness."

Noel slowly closed his eyes and took a breath.

When he opened them again, a chilling violet light glowed from within.

A brilliance radiated from his body—so dazzling it was impossible to look directly at him.

His lips moved.

Softly, slowly, and word by word, he chanted:

"Divine Light Art · Chapter One · Verse Nine — Light of Purification."

The moment the words left his lips, everything stopped.

The surging torrent.

The flow of time.

The shift of space.

The act of thought.

All of it—everything—froze the instant Noel finished speaking.

And then, everything was engulfed by a radiant, purifying light.

The foul, corrupt torrent summoned by Tsukiyo began to melt away like snow under sunlight in the face of that pure golden light.

The dark flood writhed and resisted as if alive, but it was futile.

From the beginning, their powers hadn't belonged on the same level.

Just like gods and mortals—there could never be a fair comparison.

When the last of the light faded, Tsukiyo's body collapsed to the ground.

The blue flame in her eyes flickered once... and then quietly went out.

She never stood again.

The final image in her fading consciousness was Noel's back—blurry and distant—as he walked away.

"Forgive me, Master... this is as far as I go."

She whispered in her heart.
