Chapter 14: Macao Arc (1)
~Silva POV~
"Argh!!"
*Splat*
[LEVEL UP!]
Covered in some blood cleaning up the mess with the wolves ambushing me I had enough time to view my actions taking a breather, "Whew… that took a bit longer than expected. But I'm not complaining about the free level-up. Status."

Mmm…
I'll save those for later unless I have to but now then I want to check out the skill levels I gained before the fight with the wolves.
Skill List.
----
MP Cost: Varies
Description: The user can exert their Mana in the form of an aura enveloping their bodies. Those with high levels of Magic Power will often have the highest levels of pressure, this phenomenon can emit strong vibrations that can be felt from afar distancing to massive, large-scale tremors and earthquakes.
A notable usage of this is to instill fear in others, a showcase of willpower and intimidation to those whose will are too weak to face them, especially from those with high enough Magic, making even strong and skilled combatants who love fighting too afraid to continue and ultimately be brought to their knees shaken.
Not only does the color of one's Magic varies between different Mages, the color of their aura appears to reflect the color of their souls. Sometimes the color can also determine their affinity for what type of Magic suits them personally, a person can have affinities for multiple types of Magic.
Description: The body's durability increases, allowing for less damage taken.
-8% decrease in damage taken by attacks.

Seems like I got beat up from the encounter from the fight with the wolves as I couldn't help but frown at this.
Not going to complain since I got the
Having some skills like
Wolves of all things…
If I get this easily beat up from fighting wolves, it's going to be annoying and hard struggles in future fights. I need to get stronger and focus on the grind just so I won't die from the up-and-coming threats.
*Splash*
[25% HP is healed using a small salve!]
Using my item up I began to heal up 25% of my HP and feel my body is being restored seeing the wounds I got recover immediately before my eyes as I felt the washing relief run down my body.
Looking over the pile of corpses of the wolves after collecting the item drops from them made me somewhat regretful of killing them off.
I did say somewhat as the wolves clearly intended to kill me off like food for the pecking order, as the saying goes the law of the jungle.
No, I feel that isn't the right word but no matter, right?
Still, I could find another way to train without resorting to cutting down an animal population.
Sigh…
Breathing out tired I used Mastema to fly back to Magnolia Town to recover seeing the battle I fought used up most of my MP but not enough to at least get me out of the Great Plains through the entrance once I cleaned my clothes with a nearby river.
Really need a better alternative to travel.
Since I'm out of combat I should be safe to just fly my way back.
I really need to do a job soon to get some cash sooner or later. I might as well check back with the guild to see if the situation is going on.
Shoot.
I forgot to actually check the dates to see if the plot is happening sooner or not. Might have had tunnel vision on that one considering I was focusing more on strength here.
First, give myself small time to do some meditation to recover the lost MP along with recovering from the fatigue then I can finally at the very least check up on the Request Board to see if there is anything worthwhile.
/////
After giving myself enough time to recover enough I began to make my way back to the Fairy Tail guild but not before I catch myself seeing a few kids talking to one another.
Now usually I just ignore it and move on but what they said caught my attention right away listening to their conversation.
"Fairy Tail wizards are nothing!!!"
"They're only good for draining the town's liquor!!"
"Y-your wrong!"
"All wizards are chickens!"
"When I grow up I'm gonna be a knight!!"
"Wizards are a bunch of drunks!!"
"Your wrong!!"
Running off I see the kids laughing around as I sighed at this somewhat feeling that Laxus didn't like the Guild being laughed at like that.
In some way, I agree with the guy despite not even meeting him. I mean how would you feel if someone said that to you in the face for no apparent reason other than belong to a guild and immediately get labeled because of their actions?
Kids sure are bad apples these days.
[Romeo Conbolt Lv.5 Wizard Son
Description: Romeo Conbolt is the only son of Fairy Tail's Mage, Macao Conbolt, and a future Mage of the Fairy Tail Guild.]
Oh?
Raising an eyebrow it seems like using
Good to know.
[Ding!]
[The quest is created!]
----
Important Quest: Macao Arc
Description: Romeo Conbolt went crying and telling his father to do an incredible task of taking on the request of 20 Vulcans on his own knowing in the future he only took down 19 before the last one jumped him.
Objective: Assist Macao to avoid being Take Over by the Vulcan.
Rewards: 11,000K Jewels, 100 EXP, Lacrima of the Fire Dragon, +5 stats, and Ricochet.
Please choose one of the rewards:
-Blessed Random Item Box (Select)
-Cursed Random Item Box (Select)
Failure: Natsu and Lucy save both of you and Macao.
[Accept: Y] or [Deny: N]
----
Accept.
Pressing the accept button I might as well help the guy out. Who knows I might even get something out of this quest than the usual taking out one Vulcan and learn more about this world in the process.
Although I'm curious what this Lacrima of the Fire Dragon is. Doubt it would be the actual item but then again, I'm too curious and hopeful to know.
Plus, it could be a good start to put my name out in the world on my own terms because the more popular you are the more chances of dangerous missions will be posted, and it will no doubt get me many offers to join teams if I did so get me the chance to learn from others.
It's worth a shot, right?
Like that, I began to hurry towards the Fairy Tail guild since I need the level up. Once I got inside through the door, I see an argument happening.
Ah…
Perfect I made it just in time.
Overhearing the conversation going on I listen in to what Romeo says to his dad Macao Conbolt in a rash tone, "Daddy!!! You gotta go on some really amazing job!!! If you don't… it just sucks!!!"
Macao takes closer attention to the conversation, I took the time to pretend looking at the Request Board with a conflicted expression trying to find the right job for me to do.
Upon hearing the steps coming over to my direction I managed to see the man himself come forward as I took a careful look at him.
Macao is initially portrayed as a slim, mildly muscular man of average height with short, straight, slicked-back dark blue hair. He has linear dark eyebrows, dark eyes, and a prominent nose with a flat, rectangular front. The lower part of his face is covered in quite a large amount of stubble, which includes a thin mustache. Macao's guild mark is located on his right bicep, positioned just below his shoulder.
Macao's initial outfit consisted of a knee-length white jacket, often kept open, with a wide, dark purple collar and matching edges, with the sleeves kept rolled up. The sleeves of the simple, dark shirt he wears underneath this jacket are visible sprouting from the latter's own sleeves and reaching down below his elbows.
He dons brown, pinstriped pants held up by a lighter-colored belt bearing a snake-like pattern, with a simple, square-shaped buckle, partially obscured by his shirt, and a very distinctive pair of shoes, adorned with a leopard pattern. Around his neck, Macao wears a large, serpentine necklace, which is held up by a chain. While his attire seems to change on occasion, Macao's signature jacket, necklace, and shirt remain ever-present.
Going over the Request Board he picked up a request that seems to have a ranking symbol of B on it as he took it with a grin on his face, "Take down 20 Vulcans around Mt. Hakobe for the amount of 50,000J huh? This will show those punks putting those thoughts into my Romeo's head... Hey, Mirajane I'll take this request!"
Mirajane comes and nods confirming the request for Macao to take.
Huh?
So that's how it's done huh?
Going over to Macao getting his attention I talked to the man hoping I get to join in, "Hey your Macao right? Is it okay for me to partner up with you on the request?"
Macao looks at me his gaze before shaking his head and responding to me, "Sorry kid. But it's something I need to do myself."
Not giving in I talked to Macao stroking his ego instead as I praise the guy as he grins happily at the compliment, "Maybe… but I don't really care much about the reward. You can keep it as I want the experience and under an experienced veteran mage, I was hoping to pick your brain with how powerful you are. And I won't interfere with your hunt for 20 Vulcans but witness to show off to your son."
He clearly likes being as Macao easily takes words of praise as he grins taking in by my words of praise as he replied with a serious tone at the end, "Oh? I can definitely tell. Then again, it's my job as a senior to tell you, newbies, how we do things around here since I'm just that awesome. Hmm… alright but make sure to only observe me and witness my awesomeness in action to show off to my son. I'll show you how a pro gets a Rank B Quest done!"
Nodding I got accepted as I followed along with some other Fairy Tail wizards just keeping to themselves.
Best to learn from the experts while on the job and ask for their experience if only to help my own.

~Third POV~
Deep within the Fairy Tail Guild Building underneath it lies a secret that the Alvarez Empire would want to start a war over it just to be stopped by the Magic Council Etherion.
Residing deep below the guild is a stone underground passage, consisting of a long spiral staircase, as the entrance to such a place is secret, and the stairs end in a large, mildly ruined and yet majestic room, possessing columns on its walls and brick arcs, with its carved walls adorned by several Fairy Tail symbols, with a larger one standing on a circular platform in the center of the room, held up by four small bridges and being seemingly suspended above a deep hole.
Numerous long banners are attached to the walls and ceiling, and a massive double door is located on the other side of the room from the entrance. It seems to be usually kept closed by a large, magical glyph floating in front of it, as behind the door lies Lumen Histoire…
*Shiii*
Eternal Magic: Fairy Heart, also known as Lumen Histoire, is Fairy Tail's greatest secret and a very powerful Magic, said to be superior to the Three Great Fairy Magics…
The Lumen Histoire shined dimly as if it reacted to something similar to its infinite Magic Power of Mavis very Magical Power to a being that can infinitely grow…
