The magic glowed as it began to absorb the mana that it was being supplied. After a few seconds, Akira stopped supplying magic power and waited with a bit of exp[ectation and nervousness.

This was his first time making a real magic tool so he was very nervous. Despite observing and having a huge amount of knowledge about magic tool creation, doing it for the first is very nerve-wracking. And frankly, he was even expecting this magic tool to explode on his face like every cliche novel situation.

Thankfully nothing went wrong as his magic tool activated perfectly and lit up like a torch. Seeing this Akira sighed in relief. Fortunately, he didn't have to face that face-slapping incident for every novel protagonist.

After running some additional tests Akira placed the torch on the table where he wouldn't accidentally flip it and cause a fire in the workshop. After that Akira stopped keeping the light magic spell. With the torch, there is no need for this spell.

Now that he had secured a light source Akira began to turn serious as brought out a few papers from a nearby cabinet.

The first thing he wanted to make is a sealing object that would restrain his dragon smell. He didn't want an incident like the past to happen again due to his dragon blood.

Usually one cannot make such a magic tool even if they wanted as the materials required to suppress a dragon are too costly and rare. And even then one would need to understand what a dragon is really to even attempt to create this.

Thankfully Akira doesn't need to worry about these. His dragon bloodline isn't pure so the materials are not that rare and he has already secured enough materials for this. As for the knowledge, as someone who had read the whole research papers of Irene's dragon slaying magic, he thinks he has knowledge already.

" Well then Great Sage let's get our hands dirty, " Akira said as his eyes began to change to red similar to how Rimuru's would when Great Sage took control.

" Affirmative, Operation Dragon Sealer comensing. " Great Sage's voice rang in Akira's head as the both of them began to get busy.

"Welcome back sera chan " Wakaba shouted as he saw Sera and Laxus coming through the guild door.

" oh hey sera"

" Sera Chan we miss your cooking "

" Sera did anyone try to bully you during the mission, if they did don't hesitate to tell me I will teach those bastards a valuable lesson "

"Heh, what can you Sera Chan don't listen to him you should tell me instead. I'm way stronger than this idiot "

" Oi what do you mean you are stronger than me, last time I checked our duel result was 20- 30 with me winning 30 matches "

" heh what the hell are talking about I was the one who won 30 while you only won 20 "

" No, it was my score that is higher "

" No mine "

" Oi when I said it was mine I mean it " the man shouted as he punched the other in the face sending him flying and hitting others.

" Oi bastard you are so dead " The man got up and counterattacked. But his punch hit the wrong person. Then like every time in less than no time, the whole began to participate in the brawl.

Sera smiled at the people who greeted her while skillfully and elegantly dodging the tables, chairs, and even people who were flying everywhere. She came towards where Makarov was as usual sitting on the bar counter while ignoring the brawl.

Laxus is also there drinking some orange juice while looking at the brawl with a bit of interest. He quickly made it towards Makarov unnoticed before the fight started so as not to get caught in the crossfire.

As a child who practically lived in this guild for his whole life, he needed this much skill if he didn't want to stay at the hospital every day.

" So how was the mission, were there any complications?" Makarov asked as he looked at Sera and Laxus.

" No other than the fact that the client was skeptical of our abilities, the mission went well, " Sera answered.

Although she expected it she still underestimated how suspicious humans can get. The client was even about to throw them out while accusing Fairy Tail of wanting to send one kid and a cat to their death.

In the end, Sera had to transform into her human form and crush a nearby boulder to show them that they were in fact the real deal.

" hahaha don't worry about such small details. You will get used to it with time. " Makarov laughed as he said this. Even he, in his youth, faced such situations due to his height. But after his reputation was spread no one dared to question his abilities.

" President, did Akira come to the guild? " Sera asked as she looked around. She remembered him telling her that he would be discharged today.

" Ah yes, he did come to the guild. But after finding that both you and Laxus went on a mission he decided to go to his home. " Makarov said taking a sip from his mug.

" Oh if that is the case then I would need to go home immediately. Akira must be starving, " Sera said as she turned around to leave.

" Wait " Laxus suddenly said, making her stop in her tracks and look at him curiously. " I will also join you, " he said as he gulped his drink in one breath.

" Of course, I'm sure Akira would like it too, " Sera said with a small smile. Sera didn't mind Laxus joining them as she also wanted Akira to bond with Laxus who is similar to his age.

As they walked out of the guild both Sera and Laxus suddenly jolted and looked in one direction almost instantly.

" What did that boy do this time " Sera muttered as she quickly unfolded her wings and rushed toward the direction where she felt the disturbance.

Laxus also channeled his lightning and rushed in the same direction Sera was heading. And with their speed, both of them reached their destination in just five minutes.

It was the newly built house that Sera and Akira are supposed to live in. And currently smoke was coming out of the windows.

Sera and Laxus wasted no time and headed inside immediately. Coming inside they saw that the whole house was filled with smoke. Thankfully they didn't smell any fire so they were mostly clear.

" The smoke is coming from the basement, " Sera said as she clearly sensed some unusual mana fluctuations downstairs.

And without waiting for Laxus's reply she opened the secret door and went inside. Laxus also followed her while wondering why this basement was this secretive.

When the both of them arrived at the workstation they were met with the sight of Akira who looked like he went through countless explosions.

" Oh hey guys " Akira, noticing their arrival, spoke to them with a cheerful smile. Well that smile would look good had it not been for the fact that his whole face is now black.

" What did you do this time? " Laxus asked, trying hard to not laugh out loud.

" Well we can talk later, but for now let's get out of this place, " Sera said as she handed a towel to Akira for him to wipe his face.

" Okay, " Akira said as he obediently followed them with a bit of reluctance. He was getting the feeling that he was in for a scolding.
