Fairy Tail: I Stole the Ryujin Jakka in My Sleepwalking

Chapter 97: FTRJ: Chapter 97

"What?!" Lucy exclaimed, surprised. "Finn actually fought Jura?"

Jura smiled affably. "Indeed. Mr. Finn was kind enough to hold back a little, so I wouldn't be completely humiliated."

"Really, Mr. Jura?" Lyon looked at Jura in disbelief. Lyon knew Finn was strong, but in his mind, Jura was a long-established Ten Wizard Saint, while Finn had only recently achieved the title. Surely Jura should be stronger.

Jura quickly waved his hands. "Mr. Finn's strength is unquestionable; he's far stronger than I am. The title of Ten Wizard Saint is just a title, it doesn't necessarily reflect absolute strength."

Jura then turned his gaze towards Finn. "It's been a while. I also received the news; congratulations on becoming a Ten Wizard Saint." Jura offered his congratulations sincerely.

"Thanks," Finn replied, shaking Jura's hand. The two had a good rapport.

"So that means we have two Ten Wizard Saints on the light side!" Lucy exclaimed in astonishment.

She knew that while the title of Ten Wizard Saint was merely a title, it was still bestowed by the council upon exceptionally talented individuals.

In other words, every Ten Wizard Saint undoubtedly possessed formidable strength. With two Ten Wizard Saints joining the fight, their chances against Oración Seis would be significantly improved.

Jura surveyed the surroundings. "With this, three guilds are present. Only Mermaid Heel remains."

Ichiya, clutching his increasingly swollen right cheek, spoke gravely. "It's not quite 'remains'…"

"I heard Mermaid Heel only sent one person."

"Only one person?"

A wave of astonishment washed over the assembled group upon hearing this.

"They only sent one person for such a dangerous mission?" Gray said incredulously.

Lucy covered her face, her voice laced with a mixture of fear and disbelief. "W-wait a minute… just how incredibly powerful is this one person?!"

"Cait Shelter? Wendy's guild?" Finn mused, recalling the little girl with blue hair.

At that moment, urgent footsteps echoed from the entrance, immediately capturing everyone's attention.

"This is…"

"They're here already?"

"Just how incredibly powerful is this person going to be?"

The footsteps drew nearer, and under the watchful eyes of the assembled group, a tiny figure came running into the room…

Thump————

"Oops!" The little girl, apparently running a bit too fast, had failed to coordinate her left and right feet properly, causing her to stumble and fall flat on her face.

"Oww…" The little girl slowly got to her feet, brushing the dust off her clothes, her head bowed low, her hands clasped behind her back as she avoided making eye contact with everyone.

"Um… everyone… I'm so sorry, I'm late," she mumbled, finally lifting her head to address the group.

"I'm Wendy Marvell, the wizard sent by Cait Shelter. Pleased to meet you all!" Her voice was soft and sweet, and she seemed rather shy, her words slightly trembling.

"A child?"

"A girl?"

"A little girl?"

"Wendy!"

The first few exclamations were uttered by the assembled group, while the final one was a surprised cry from Finn himself.

Wendy's gaze fell upon Finn, and a radiant smile instantly illuminated her small face. "Finn!" she exclaimed happily.

Erza's gaze immediately shifted towards Finn.

"You know her?" Erza asked, her curiosity piqued.

Finn nodded. "Ah, yes, she's a very cute and kind little girl."

"They're an item~~" Happy suddenly materialized beside Finn, his hands clasped over his mouth as he playfully stuck out his tongue.

Finn immediately grabbed the airborne Happy, his tone menacingly serious. "If you can't speak properly, I'll iron your mouth shut."

"Sorry… I'm so sorry!" Happy instantly caved in, his earlier playful demeanor replaced with genuine remorse.

Before the others could fully recover from their initial surprise, Jura, ever the composed and serious individual, spoke. "With this, all the guild members have arrived."

"D-don't you have anything else to say?" Gray stammered, clearly taken aback by Jura's unexpectedly formal demeanor.

"To be honest, for such a large-scale battle plan, sending only a little girl… I really don't know what Mermaid Heel is thinking," Sherria commented, expressing her discontent with Mermaid Heel's decision.

"Ara, ara, she's not alone, heavy makeup lady," a voice called out from behind Wendy.

Upon seeing the newcomer, Happy's small blue face instantly flushed crimson, and he froze in place, his mind flashing back to Finn's earlier morning description of a white cat.

"Is it the white cat?"

"The one just like Happy?"

The Fairy Tail members glanced from Carla to Happy, and back again.

"That's so mean! Calling me 'heavy makeup lady'!" Sherria exclaimed, her voice laced with genuine hurt.

"You actually care about that?" Lucy asked, clearly surprised by Sherria's unexpected reaction.

Wendy turned to look at Carla, her eyes wide with surprise. "Carla, why did you come along?"

Carla lifted her chin, looking directly at Wendy. "Of course, I couldn't possibly leave you here all alone," she replied firmly.

Carla then turned her attention towards Happy, who stood nearby.

Happy's heart began to race uncontrollably, his eyes transforming into two large, adoring hearts.

Perhaps due to a mixture of nervousness and excitement, his body became stiff and trembled slightly.

"Tch!" Carla scoffed, turning her head away disdainfully.

A wave of utter despair instantly washed over Happy.

Observing the somewhat tense atmosphere, Wendy spoke nervously, "I… I may not be able to participate in direct combat, but I can cast many… many support spells…"

"So… please don't exclude me…" she pleaded anxiously, her small hands fidgeting nervously, her voice trembling as if she were on the verge of tears.

Carla sighed, about to offer words of reassurance, when Finn's voice cut through the air.

"It's okay, Wendy. None of us want to exclude you," he said gently.

"Finn…" Wendy's gaze locked onto Finn's, and as she listened to his kind words, her earlier anxiety seemed to melt away.

"We apologize; we were simply surprised, but we certainly didn't intend to underestimate you," Erza said with a warm smile, approaching Wendy and extending her hand. "Pleased to meet you, Wendy!"

"Wow… besides Finn, I've met Erza in person! Carla!" Wendy crouched down, her face once again breaking into a bright, joyful smile.

She then stood up and shook hands with Erza.

Carla offered a slight nod. "More gentle than I expected."

"Um… have you heard of me? I'm Happy, the Exceed!" Happy dashed towards Carla, nervously introducing himself.

Carla, arms crossed, looked away, completely ignoring Happy's attempt at an introduction.

Happy's pupils transformed once again into adoring hearts. He covered his face with his paws, a blush creeping onto his cheeks. "So shy… so cute!" he mumbled shyly.

Finn leaned down and whispered into Happy's ear, his tongue playfully sticking out. "They're an item~~"

"Why are you copying me?! And Finn, you're ten times more exaggerated than I am!!" Happy retorted indignantly.

Ichiya, regaining his composure, said, "That little girl's extraordinary magical aura is certainly not to be underestimated."

"You noticed it too, Mr. Ichiya? That little girl possesses magical power unlike anything we've ever encountered," Jura replied, turning his gaze towards Finn and Erza.

"Mr. Finn and Ms. Erza seem to have noticed as well," Jura observed.

Finn nodded in agreement. "Wendy's magic feels very similar to Natsu and Gajeel's."

Natsu, however, stood with his arms crossed, gazing at Wendy with a puzzled expression. "I feel like I've heard that name somewhere before, but I can't quite place it," he mused aloud.

After several moments of fruitless contemplation, Natsu decided to simply dismiss the strange feeling.

"Alright, everyone's here. Ichiya, let's hear the situation," Finn said, turning his attention to Ichiya, signaling that he could begin.

Ichiya nodded. "Then, I shall now proceed to provide a detailed account of our objective, as well as our proposed battle plan."

Despite his often unreliable and flamboyant demeanor, Ichiya, as Blue Pegasus's strongest wizard, undoubtedly possessed exceptional skills and was appointed the temporary commander for this crucial mission.

Given the gravity of the situation—facing one of the three pillars of the dark world—no one dared to engage in idle chatter. They all fell silent, their attention completely focused on Ichiya as he began to outline the battle plan.

"First, Oración Seis…" Ichiya began, striking a dramatic pose, only to abruptly halt his explanation.

"Before that… please allow me to indulge in the delightful fragrance of the restroom…" he announced, before proceeding to waddle towards the restroom on his short legs.

"Hey… don't use 'fragrance' to describe that place," Gray said, his voice laced with exasperation.

After a short while, Ichiya returned.

"First, let's discuss Oración Seis's objective," Ichiya began.

"From here, lies the expansive Whispering Woods, where the ancients sealed away a magic of immense power," Ichiya explained, his expression now grave.

"That magic is Nirvana!" Ichiya declared, striking a pose and delivering the name with his characteristically sleazy flair.

"Nirvana?" The assembled group voiced their questions in unison.

"It's a destructive magic the ancients were forced to seal. That's all we know," Hibiki explained.

"We don't know much more than that," Eve added, shaking his head.

Finn stroked his chin thoughtfully, lost in contemplation.

"Mr. Finn, do you happen to know anything about this magic?" Jura asked, his curiosity piqued by Finn's thoughtful expression.

Finn responded with a hint of uncertainty in his voice. "I believe I encountered mention of this magic in a book once.

The text described it as a legendary magic created by the ancients in an attempt to bring an end to the incessant warfare of their time. It is said to be capable of both extinguishing the darkness and crushing the light."
