Fairy Tail: Jinchuriki

Makarov and the other Wizard Saints see the island being destroyed from afar. They tried to chase Acnologia and Alex but couldn't move fast enough. In the end, they are late to assist Alex and can only watch an island being destroyed from afar.

"NO! ALEX!" Makarov and Ur shout in horror.

They saw the giant 9 Tailed Fox disappear and now Acnologia destroyed the whole island. It doesn't need a lot of brain cells to know that Acnologia destroys the island to kill his opponent, which is none other than Alex.

Acnologia sees the airships far on the horizon, but he doesn't care about them. He has gotten the good battles he was looking for, so he doesn't care about some ants that won't even injure him with their strongest spells.

So he flies away, leaving to who-knows-where to wait for the next time he'll wreak havoc in the world. It's a good thing that he isn't interested in the other Wizard Saints or Ishgar, so no one else will die.

The news of Alex's death spreads quickly among his acquaintances. When the Wizard Saints return to Hargeon with devastated expressions, everyone knows that something bad has happened, especially when an airship is lost.

Fairy Tail members ask about Alex to Makarov and he can only look down while crying. Everyone from Fairy Tail that presents immediately understands what happened to Alex, but some of them don't want to believe it until Makarov says it himself.

"WHY DON'T YOU SAY ANYTHING, MASTER? WHERE'S ALEX? WHY DON'T YOU TAKE HIM BACK WITH YOU?" Elfman angrily shouts at Makarov, which is very unusual for him.

"Alex, he.... he's dead. Acnologia destroys the island where they fought along with Alex on it. We couldn't find any trace of him or that island left." Makarov says it while tears run out of his eyes.

"N-No... NO! THERE'S NO WAY ALEX WILL LOSE! HE-..... HE-.... He is the strongest." Elfman wants to deny it, but he knows Makarov won't joke about something like this, so in the end, he flops down as he can only accept this fact.

For Elfman, Alex is already like a big brother that always takes care of him. Alex has taken care of the Strauss siblings a lot all these years. It was probably because the 4 of them are using the same Magic and they even have the same silver hair.

So they trained together the most and became very close like real siblings although they very rarely took jobs together because they have different teams and most of Alex's jobs were much too dangerous for them to follow.

That's why Mira and Lisanna are also very devastated by this news. It's especially so for Mira because she loves Alex as a man. In fact, both of them have actually started dating some months ago after Mira confessed to him.

Mira has chased Alex for a few years, but the dense Alex was too stupid to understand her advance. So she told him her feelings a long time ago, but because he didn't understand anything, she needed to teach him so many things.

Then, they officially became lovers this year when Alex finally realized that he also loves Mira as a woman, not just as a friend. They have just started their new relationship, but now it is broken apart already by Alex's death.

Gray, Wendy and Lucy are also very devastated by this news because Alex is like their real big brother already. He took care of them since they were very young and taught them many things.

The other members also feel the same because Alex always took care of them in his own way. He always taught them important things in his free time from magic, battle skills, even on how to conduct in their jobs so they won't cause problems for their Guilds, etc.

Alex even took them on some jobs just to give them real experience and teach them so many things through real practices. He truly cares about all of them and would always look out for them in his own ways.

All of them are devastated, but probably the most devastated of them all is Meteor Destroyer. The brown magical bear is now as big as an SUV car. He doesn't have any tears in his eyes, but he just lost all the lights in those eyes.

Meteor Destroyer is too shocked to even show any response to this news. For him, Alex is his whole world after he rescued Meteor as a bear cub. He took care of the bear cub like his own child and friend, not just a pet.

For Meteor, Alex is his parent, his friend, his family, his everything. He is the only one who knows how strong Alex truly is, so he never thought that Alex would lose to anyone, even to Fairy Tail's strongest Mage, Gildarts.

That's why Meteor's brain just shuts down when he hears that Alex is dead. In just a split second, his brain is filled with denials, grief, sadness, anger, and other complicated emotions that make his mind blank.

*ROAR!* But then suddenly, he roars angrily like a true wild beast. Meteor roars at the sky as if to deny what he has just heard. He believes that Alex is still alive and he will prove it.

So he runs to the sea like a mad beast and just jumps into the sea before swimming as fast as he can. Everyone is surprised and the grieving Fairy Tail Mages are shouting together, calling Meteor that swims away without any care.

"METEOR!"

"STOP!"

"METEOR, COME BACK!"

Everyone yells at him to stop, but he doesn't hear anything because he only thinks of going to Alex. The Fairy Tail members quickly think of using a ship to chase Meteor. They understand how sad Meteor must be, that's why they need to stop him.

But suddenly, the crying Mira transforms into her Satan Soul and chases after Meteor. She reaches the swimming bear quickly and drops in front of him. Meteor is furious that someone tries to stop him and attacks Mira, but she just hugs him.

"Please stop it, Meteor. I can't afford to lose you too. We all can't. Alex will be very sad if he knows you act like this."

Meteor suddenly stops his frantic movements after hearing that. He immediately remembers that Alex always told him to keep his cool in every situation. Then he remembers what Alex once told him when they camped while working.

[Meteor, I'm not someone who likes to sacrifice myself for others. I prefer to protect everyone I love while keeping myself alive. But you know, there might be a situation when I need to sacrifice my life to save the others. When that happens, make sure you and everyone else send me off with pride because I sacrificed myself to keep your smile, not to see the sadness in your faces.]

Meteor didn't think much about it at that time and only thought it was just an idle chatter, so he just nodded without thinking. But now when it really happens, he can't even think he is proud of Alex and only feels sadness.

The bear's claws flop down to the water as his anger finally disappears, replaced with a really strong feeling of sadness. He roars again, but now they are filled with sadness as tears start rolling down his cheeks.

The news of Alex's death quickly spreads among his acquaintances. Everyone who's left in the Guild in Magnolia is having fun as usual until they suddenly hear this news. No one can believe this news until Makarov finally returns with the others and confirms it.

A similar thing happens in Mermaid Heel Guild when Ultear hears the news. Lyon in Lamia Scale is also devastated by the news. Alex is their family and friend who has lived with them and even saved their lives.

Layla even becomes bedridden for a few days when she hears the news. Her body that gets even weaker as she gets older can't bear the devastating news. She has thought of Alex as her son since his stay in her family's house, after all.

This news spread quickly all over Ishgar as well which shocked people. Their strongest Mage couldn't even scratch the enemy and got killed. So another powerful Mage sacrificed himself to lure the Black Dragon of Calamity away.

The Magic Council wanted to only highlight Serena's noble sacrifice because of his title as the strongest in the continent. They also don't want to admit that someone from Fairy Tail, a Guild they hate is contributing greatly to the continent.

If they acknowledge Alex, they might also need to reveal their secret operation where they infiltrated Fairy Tail, after all. But surprisingly, the Wizard Saints were angry at the Council and demanded that Alex's sacrifice is also announced greatly to the public.

After all, all the Wizard Saints and Mages present that day couldn't even do anything against that Black Dragon. They are already ashamed by that fact, so they don't want to feel even more ashamed by taking away a young man's noble achievement.

With the Wizard Saints pressuring them, the Magic Council finally makes Serena's and Alex's achievements equal in this case because without any of them, the Black Dragon of Calamity would lay waste on the continent of Ishgar.

So now, both Alex and Serena are titled as the Great Heroes of Ishgar. The day of their death is marked as a very important day for the continent. Fiore even built statues of them fighting Acnologia on Hargeon as a sign of respect.

But none of those fancy titles, statues, rewards, or tales sung by bards matters for Alex's friends and family. Nothing else matters, they just want Alex to stay alive and be here with them rather than all those fancy things.
