Fairy Tail: Strongest Creature

Chapter 279: Victory

The scoreboard flashed: Minerva has fallen! Sabertooth wiped out! Fairy Tail gains 10 points—total 81!

With Scales of the Serpent Princess unable to score, Fairy Tail locks first place early!

The outcome is decisive: Fairy Tail wins the Grand Demon Fighting Tournament!

Fireworks exploded overhead, showering the arena in glittering confetti. A roar of cheers swept through every seat.

"Fairy Tail! Fairy Tail!" the crowd chanted, their voices echoing like thunder.

Inside the guild's camp, the members embraced one another in euphoria. So long cast aside, Fairy Tail had reclaimed its place at the pinnacle of Fiore's mages.

Chapati (commentator): "What a triumphant roar! The strongest guild has truly been resurrected!"

Yakima: "Congratulations—welcome home, Fairy Tail!"

Mermaid Heel's Risley applauded from the stands. "Incredible," she said. "After Kagura watched Su Yan block her blade with two fingers, she realized the chasm between them."

Millianna, still recovering, smiled wryly. "I knew it from the start—yet their performance still surprises me. Congratulations to everyone."

Ivan laughed, "They've earned this title fair and square."

Hibiki nodded. "Think of it as Sirius Group's grand return."

Lian raised her glass. "What a gift this is!"

Across the arena, unfinished bouts ended in sportsmanship. Natsu and Leon lay side by side, battered but smiling.

"You're strong," Natsu gasped. "Seven fewer years of training, yet you match me blow for blow."

Leon grinned through his exhaustion. "Don't worry, you'll have another chance—next time, I won't go easy."

Nearby, Erza and Sherry exchanged respectful nods, recalling how even foes could forge unexpected bonds. Laxus and Jura stood apart, both acknowledging one another's prowess honed over seven long years.

Rufus, once confident of victory, exhaled a shaky breath. "We were bound by our own legend," he admitted. "If not for Su Yan's early triumph over Orga, I might have been the first cast out of Sabertooth."

Orga clenched his fists at the memory of Su Yan shrugging off his and Sting's attacks. "That… monster," he muttered.

Sting stirred on a nearby stretcher, eyelids fluttering as a familiar voice called his name. Blinking into the light, he saw Lector, the vanished kitten, gently pawing at him.

"Lector?!" Sting cried, scrambling to his feet. Tears filled his eyes as he embraced the small dragon-cat. "You're alive! I'll never let you go again."

Lector purred and nuzzled him.

Hours later, the glittering trophy stood in the guild hall as reporters clamored for interviews. When the ceremonies ended, Fairy Tail gathered at their tavern for a night of unbridled celebration.

But in the quiet halls of Fiore's royal palace—far from public notice—Princess Hisui descended the marble steps to the Eclipse Gate's sealed doors.

Fairy Tail had defied all odds. The future seer's warnings rang true: the next great war to determine humanity's fate was poised to begin.

And so, beneath the palace, the Eclipse Cannon would soon be remade—and the real battle for Fiore's survival would begin.
