Fairy Tail-Transmigrated In Order To Sleep With Babes

Chapter 396: Battle of Hargeon Commences

(Third Person POV)

In the outskirts of Hargeon, the port town occupied by Alvarez forces, there was a massive battle that had just commenced.

Rows of hundreds of soldiers were marching towards a field as they were being hit by several projectiles of lightning that exploded, creating massive shockwaves that sent everything flying. As the explosions subsided, the soldiers fired their magic projectiles back at their assailants, trying to counter. They were being fired at by large groups of magic council mages who stood their ground at the end of the field, being supported by powerful bolts of lightning.

Atop a hill, the source of the lightning projectiles was scowling as he swung his arms around.

"Tch!" Laxus said, "I thought we were being backed up by Jellal and his group!"

Next to him, Gray stood as he also fired off ice projectiles from a distance.

"Yea, me too." He said, "I guess they must've gotten caught up. I heard there's a separate army somewhere off in the distance. Maybe they're preventing us from getting pinched or something."

Laxus swung his arm, firing off a massive and powerful lighting bolt at the middle of the charging forces, creating a massive yellow explosion of lightning.

"Hmph..." He said, "And you, I didn't know you had super long-ranged attacks."

Gray nodded, "Got better at it, I suppose." He said as he readied his ice make stance

"Ice Make: Javelin Barrage"

He swung his arms forwards, firing off several large ice javelins at the enemy soldiers that exploded, freezing anyone that caught up in it.

"So it's just us and the Magic Council forces?" Laxus said, "How are we going to take this town, then?"

At the front of the charge, they saw as several massive shockwaves erupted. Both Gray and Laxus watched as dozens of enemy soldiers were being flung into the air with each shockwave.

They saw as Erza was running through the army, swinging her two swords in her hand with ferociousness, cutting down anyone who got in her way.

Erza then stopped as she cut several soldiers and looked up at them, "Advance!" She said, "We have to push through and reach the town!"

"By ourselves?" Gray asked, "There's not even a hundred of us and thousands of them!"

Erza dodged several projectiles as she cut more soldiers down.

"We're about to be joined by Kagura and Jellal's group!" She said, "Until then, we push through and make some sort of advancement."

"She's right." Laxus said as lightning crackled around them, "I think we should speed things up here, Gray. Until they reach us, we get warmed up for the real fun."

In an instant, Laxus launched himself hundreds of feet forward, landing on the ground surrounded by enemy soldiers, swinging his fist down, and causing another explosion of lightning. Gray watched as soldiers were sent flying away as they screamed.

"Tch." Gray said, "I guess there's no choice."

He then jumped off the hill and began to run towards the marching enemy forces, joining his two companions in the scuffle.

As he ran, he dodged several projectiles and returned fire, hitting them and freezing them in place.

The soldiers began to charge him, "Get him!!" They shouted

"I guess this is where I spend the day, huh?" He said as he readied an Ice Make stance, "Oh well, nothing I could do!!"

"Ice Make: Hammer!!!"

The soldiers were instantly crushed by a massive ice hammer that struck them from above, causing a massive shockwave of cold air.

Gray sighed, "I wonder if I can keep this up...." He said, "The real fight isn't here yet...."

"I can't use that yet..."

*************************************************

"S-So strong..." a member of the magic council said as they stood in the battle-ridden field, "So these are the Fairy Tail mages."

They were looking around at the massive clouds of smoke and flames that littered the field outside the town.

Gray and Laxus were standing over several unconscious soldiers as Erza stood off in the distance, holding a lacrima communications device and seemingly speaking to someone.

"So there goes the first wave of their defense.." Laxus said, "Which is strange, it was only a couple hundred of them."

Gray nodded, "Yea." He said, "This felt a bit too easy, let's keep our guard up."

Laxus frowned at him, "How about you keep your shirt on." He said

Gray looked down to see himself topless, "Oh shit!!" He said, "When did I take it off?!"

"Idiot." Laxus said

Erza walked over as she had the communication device on her ear, "Yes, understood." she said, "We'll wait for you."

She then put the device away.

"What is it?" Laxus asked

"Jellal and Kagura are nearby." She said, "Kagura had stopped by at Jason's ship, she's on her way. Jellal was occupied by some forces that tried to ambush them."

"I knew it." Gray said, "What now?"

They all turned to see the town, it looked quiet.

"I know there's plenty more enemies in there." Erza said seriously, "And a Shield of Spriggan. We can't get careless."

As she said that, the entire town was surrounded by a massive bright green barrier.

Gray widened his eyes, "What?" He said, "What the hell?"

Laxus looked at it, "A rune barrier?" He said

One of the magic council members walked up, "N-Not necessarily..." He said, "It looks like a mixture of rune magic and barrier magic....who could've deployed such a high level spell around an entire town???"

Erza scowled, "This is just great." She said, "We need to liberate this town and destroy the ships that they have docked here. We can't do it with this barrier deployed."

Gray whistled, "I guess we wait for reinforcements, then?" He said looking at the magic council members, "Any more of you coming?"

The member shook his head, "Just us." he said, "The majority of our forces are occupied at the eastern and northern fronts. I did hear we might have a Wizard Saint join us but we don't know for sure."

"Could that bastard Jason have something to break through this?" Laxus asked, "His ship had some powerful-looking weapons."

Erza nodded, "I could ask." She said getting the lacrima communicator from her pocket, "Lets see here..."

She pressed on the screen.

There was some static coming from it.

"Yo." Jason's voice could be heard

"Jason." Erza said, "We have a situation."

"What is it?" He asked

"Hargeon has been surrounded by a massive and powerful looking barrier." She said, "I wanted to know if you have something that could pierce it."

"Let me lock into your coordinates." He said, "How far away are you standing from it?"

Erza looked over, "Around 300-350 meters....Why?"

"Hang on..." He said, "Okay.....stand back."

Gray frowned, "What does he mea-" He started

Suddenly, a massive projectile flew right over their head and collided against the barrier, causing a massive explosion that shook the entire barrier.

It still looked a bit undamaged.

"How'd it do?" Jason asked

"Uhm..." Erza said, "N-No damage."

Laxus looked at the cloud of smoke, "Damn." He said, "How fast was that missile going?"

"Hmmm...." Jason said, "Let me try something else..."

A few seconds later, another projectile flew over their heads and collided against the barrier. This time, it exploded with a massive blue light.

"What did that do?" Erza asked

"Nothing in terms of damage." Jason said, "But it should've analysed the barrier...hmm.....Oh, there you go. It's some super high level Machia Magic. My guess it's powered by several massive lacrima cores around the town."

"Machia?" Laxus said, "What does that mean?"

"Means you got a member of The Spriggan 12 in there." Jason replied, "Wahl Icht, he's a Machia Tribe member, a real annoying fucker. Uses Weakness Magic with Alchemy to create mechanical constructs to attack you. I fought him, he's tough."

"Damn." Gray said, "I wonder how we'll deal with him."

"I'd handle him for you, but Mavis suggested I stay here for a bit." He said, "I reckon you'll figure something out."

"That aside, Jason." Erza said, "What do we do?"

"I'm trying to cook up something to break through, but it'll take some time. Felicity told me that for something that high-level, it's going to be tough." He said, "In the meantime, there's only one thing to do."

"What is it?" Gray asked

"Good old-fashioned Siege."
