Opening my eyes, I find myself lying on an old bed. Where am I? I thought, rubbing my eyes as I sat up. As I took in my surroundings, I realized I was in a small, modest house. The place looked like it had seen better days—worn wood floors, cracked walls, and furniture that had definitely aged with time. The house consisted of three rooms: a bedroom, a bathroom, and what appeared to be a combination living room and kitchen area. Despite its age, the space was surprisingly clean and well-kept. It didn't feel luxurious, but it was a decent place to live in.

My gaze shifted to the kitchen table, where two books were lying side by side. The titles caught my attention: Magic Control Manual and Basic Information on Martial Arts. Beside them was a note with my name on it, the title boldly reading: New World.

I picked up the note and began to read.

Welcome to your new world, young Felix. There are a few important things I need to tell you before you embark on your journey.

First, you have arrived approximately one and a half years before the canon events of this world begin.

"Well, that's a lot to take in," I muttered to myself, running my hand through my hair as I thought about my next move. Activate the system first, I decided. I've got one and a half years before the canon events start. I should train here for a year and get into shape. Power-wise, I should aim for something around Natsu's level. If I remember correctly, he was pretty weak at the start—his magic was destructive, sure, but so is mine. Normally, it would be impossible to close that gap in such a short time...

But I wasn't ordinary. Thanks to the system, I could actually do it. Natsu had never received formal training after his father left him, and he only grew stronger through guild quests.
