Chapter 165: last preparations (unedited)
"This is the portal that you three are going to enter tomorrow." She pointed to the portal that was on the screen. "It is going to be the biggest one and where the strongest monsters are going to get out of. You will be covered and don't have to fight those monsters but just a heads-up about the monsters that are appearing tomorrow."
We didn't react with that new information because we knew that if you want to go to another universe you have to get a lot of energy in one place and while we could also do that with the number of gods we have you need the technology to keep it open and not waste the power of the gods.
The reason that God could open portals to other dimension is because he was lucky to get the technology to do so otherwise, he wouldn't even be near as strong as he is now. He just stores some of his powers in a container and that power is then fed to the portal. It works as a battery and that is why it is so powerful.
He also probably used that portal before but to other planets that fell in destruction because of him. And because plants fall under him, he can do this cycle repeatedly. He attacks a planet. Gets the natural recourses from the planet until it is exhausted. While attacking another planet.
While it uses a lor of recourses he also gets more in return. "Do you get how important your task now is. When you get there, you have to find my blessed person and she will help you. You have to cut the connection between the planets and the ship so that it can't get any more recourses form the places he is getting them from now."

The mission for the three women was to get in and sabotage the place. They could also kill some arbiters while they are there but that isn't their main goal. "We understand to mission but what happens if that god returns?" Elena asked because while we were prepared and could fight him off that didn't mean that he couldn't close the portal and trap us there.
"It doesn't really matter if he comes back or not because once you are there you can return whenever you want with the help of one of the runes on your body. That rune can be activated whenever you want you just have to think about it. It will let Freya know that you are using it and teleport you to her."
We nodded a bit more relieved that we had a card like that. We could be a bit more reckless now and not be on guard and passive once we are there. Elena smiled as she heard those words. "That's good because I was beginning to think that it was going to be boring with all the cautious things we had to do."
I also didn't want to be as passive the whole mission like what was meant for us, but I couldn't help but feel that Elena was going to get a bit to reckless. "We still need to completer the mission you know. This is something husband wanted specifically of us so I don't want to fuck this up."
Elena looked at me and nodded her head. "Yes, yes. You are right. I am just saying that maybe we can kill one of those arbiters while we are there. Don't you want to fight them as well. They are the ones that are responsible for disturbing our peaceful time with our husband."
"That's right. I want to punish them for making husband go away so much while he previously spent most time with us." Isabella agreed with Elena, and it was again a two v one. I knew that I would lose this battle, so I relented a bit. "You know that I am just talking about not rushing in like a dumbass. Not that I expect it from one of you but I just want to be sure you know."
I let concern in my voice to get my point across. Both nodded and understood. "Are you three finished? Now then I know that some of you still need to make some last plans for your territories so you can do that now. We have done everything we could here, and the rest comes down to your own skills."
Aphrodite looked at us lazily as she said that. She waved her hand again and the map closed, and a portal opened. "This portal will lead to your own home. It will open again late at night to your rooms where you will sleep before the raid starts. So be ready."
The three of us didn't wait for anything else and walked into the portal. It every one of us to our own territory.
…
Elena pov
Elena stepped through the shimmering portal, instantly transported to her domain—a volcanic expanse bordered by jagged cliffs and flowing rivers of molten lava. The air here was dense with heat and charged with fiery mana, but she found it relaxing. To others, this place would be a nightmarish wasteland. To her, it was home.
Elena's people, were uniquely adapted to this unforgiving environment. Their skin shimmered faintly like obsidian, resistant to extreme temperatures. Their hair often carried streaks of molten-red or deep gold, resembling volcanic flames. They were warriors shaped by the lava-rich land.
A group of Vulkaris warriors approached, led by Commander Rynna, a fierce woman with fiery orange hair bound in intricate braids. Her armor was forged from volcanic steel and enchanted with defensive runes. She bowed slightly but maintained the proud posture expected of her station.
The Vulkaris is one of the groups in the military Elena created. There were other branches in the military that she created and each of them had their own role.
" Lady Elena, it's good to have you back.," Rynna said, her voice strong. "The perimeter wards have been reinforced, and the ash sentinels are on full patrol. Preparations for the upcoming invasion are nearly complete."
"Good," Elena replied, her tone shorter than just a moment ago when she was with her sisters. "Ensure that the southern lava channels are stabilized. If the enemy manages to breach the external wards, we will redirect the molten flow as our last line of defense."
Rynna nodded, already issuing commands through enchanted communication crystals embedded in her bracers.
Elena turned her gaze toward the towering volcanic castle in the distance—her personal fortress, Pyrehold Keep. Its walls were forged from enchanted basalt, designed to absorb and channel magical energy from the surrounding lava flows. The absorbed mana was used to power the rest of the territory, but it was also used to make magic stones.
That was one of the ways this place could make money. They sold of the magic stones for a good price because they monopolized the fire and lava magic stones. Of course, she didn't sell them for to much money because she technique didn't need them but this was a good way to let an economy happen with her own people without interfering too much.
She ascended the winding stone path leading to the main hall, where an advisor and battlemages awaited. As she stepped inside, molten sconces ignited with her presence, casting a fiery glow across the obsidian-floored chamber.
Her advisors bowed as she entered. "Status report," she commanded.
A scarred Vulkaris warlord named Karren stepped forward. Her left arm was a mechanical gauntlet crafted from enchanted volcanic ore. "The magma forges are operating at full capacity. We've armed the vanguard with newly forged flame-lances and obsidian-blade shields. The barriers around the inner and outer sanctum have also been strengthened."
Elena nodded at Karren's report, her sharp eyes reflecting the flickering flames surrounding them. "Good work. Ensure the flame-lances are properly calibrated and distribute the obsidian-blade shields to the vanguard's frontline. We can't afford any malfunctions when the portal opens and the monsters pour out."
Karren pounded her mechanical gauntlet against her chest in a salute. "Consider it done, Lady Elena. The forge-masters won't rest until every weapon is battle-ready."
Elena's gaze swept across the assembled advisors and commanders. "You all know your roles. Dismissed. Prepare for war."
The room echoed with the clatter of armored boots as her war council dispersed, leaving Elena alone—almost. A soft clearing of a throat drew her attention to the far corner of the chamber.
A young woman with molten-gold streaks in her raven-black hair stood there, her fiery red eyes burning with determination. She wore reinforced leather armor etched with glowing runes, marking her as a combat apprentice.
Elena raised a brow. "Why are you still here? Speak."
The woman took a steady breath, stepping forward with purpose. "Lady Elena, I wished to thank you personally—for everything. My name is Lyris and you may not remember me but you personally accepted me into Pyrehold's military despite my... unusual magic. I've trained tirelessly to prove my worth."
Elena had to think for a bit about who this woman could be but then she remembered the unusual magic that was displayed one day.
