Fantasy Realm — Naruto: Blood-Mist

Alex arrives back at Tazuna's house and immediately realizes that nobody aside from Tsunami is home.

"Oh, back already, Alex?" she asks, looking slightly surprised to see him back this early.

Hehe, time to check out how much my CHA has grown! Let's test out my rizz! I've wanted to try this for a long time—and this time there's no jealous spider around to stop me!

"Yes…" Alex says, staring meaningfully into Tsunami's eyes. "I must confess something, Tsunami. For a long time, I've been smitten with you. You're a lovely lady, and I really had to tell you my honest feelings."

Tsunami stares back at Alex, her face serious—slightly blushed—before suddenly laughing and slapping him playfully. "Hahaha! That was a good joke! I almost believed it! You're so funny, Alex. You're married, aren't you? Though, if you're feeling lonely, I'll join you for a snack—I just finished baking a cake!"

Alex sighs. "Yeah… I'll take a slice. I was just kidding, of course. I need to study a little."

This is strange… I got rejected—but more like she thought I was kidding. Which, truthfully, I was! This is all because of Jewel, Tereza, and Menchi! My experiences with normal women are so limited I've lost touch with reality! Well… whatever. Cake is fine too.

Alex sits down in the living room and checks out his [Skillbook: Basic Chakra (Inferior)], interested in learning more about the Chakra stat—mainly to help prepare against other players using this system.

Effect: Teaches the skill: Basic Chakra (Inferior) and unlocks the Chakra stat.

Basic Chakra (Inferior) lvl 0 base

Requirements: 0 CHK +2 per level

Leveling Requirements: 500 Fantasy Coins + 500 per level

Effect: Unlocks the CHK stat and the Chakra resource. CHK is a rare stat, that requires 2 stat points to be increased. Chakra depends on your CHK stat. Also allows you to learn basic Chakra skills to a certain skill level.

Effect: Increase Chakra by 5% + 1% per level

Effect: Grants you 10 + 1 Jutsu points per level. Learning different Jutsu depends on the Jutsu's grade and rarity. Most D-rank Jutsu take up 1 point, while C-rank and B-rank Jutsu require 3 and 5 points, respectively. A-rank or S-rank Jutsu can't be learned.

Note: Chakra is the combination of physical energy and spiritual energy.

Alex smiles as he reads the detailed skill description.

I see, so this skill only boosts your total Chakra resource by a measly 5% + 1% per level. The Deep Purple Basic Nen skill boosts total Aura by 10% + 5% per level. What a difference! Not only that, this skill doesn't even allow you to learn A- or S-rank Jutsus, and it severely limits how many you can even use. I guess higher-ranked Chakra skills let you master way more Jutsu, give you bigger Chakra boosts, and probably other bonuses. This is really basic—but I guess there's a chance you can upgrade this ability later. At least it still lets you learn a decent number of D- and C-rank Jutsu.

As Alex is deep in thought, Tsunami enters the room. Alex glances up and notices her face is slightly red. She's carrying a small plate with a slice of cake and sits down next to him—stretching her legs out so they're touching his thighs, finally resting on top of them, directly under Alex's face.

Huh? What is this?

Alex stares at her—then at her feet—realizing she's barefoot.

What?!

"You… really helped our country, and Menchi mentioned that you like this… so please… play as much with them as you want."

"..."

No… thank you… Dumb Menchi! I need to take my revenge later!

"This… Tsunami, Menchi was joking. Haha, there's really no need for this. You've misunderstood," Alex stammers, clearly embarrassed.

"Is it… am I ugly? Are my feet not to your liking?! I guess I'm too old for you. Who would be interested in a lone single mother, huh? I understand. I guess I'm just too unattractive for you. Sorry for insulting you," she says, rubbing her hands against her face.

"What?! NO!" Alex responds, clearly misunderstood.

What is this situation?! NO! I need a way out… Shit, what do I do… Do I really have to…

Alex's mind is spinning in circles—but Tsunami suddenly pulls back her feet, gets up and begins to giggle.

"I was just kidding. You're such a nice guy that you were even willing to go along with it to build up my confidence? Hehe. That's what you get for joking with me earlier. You shouldn't make fun of a single mom! Now enjoy your cake."

"..."

Alex sighs, a drop of sweat running down his face.

Maybe I deserved this one….

Alex stuffs his mouth with the cake and lies back, unable to resist smiling at the silliness of the situation.

The next few days pass in a flash.

Alex spends his time tagging along with Menchi and Jewel. Menchi devotes half the day to exploring with them and the other half to preparing new dishes. Meanwhile, Alex and Jewel continue exploring the islands that make up the Land of Waves. There's not a single dangerous animal in sight, allowing them free and unobstructed movement.

Alex keeps himself busy with mundane side quests—delivering items from island to island, hunting, and fishing. He also spars and chats regularly with Team 7, and dedicates time to sharpening his own sword skills, especially focusing on his use of the [Executioner's Blade].

During those days, he manages to pick up 5 white-quality armor pieces—really just simple bits of cloth—and hands off quite a few ingredients to Menchi he collected in the forests or fished out of the ocean.

Finally, Tazuna announces that the bridge will be finished today, and he plans to hold a small celebration this afternoon.

Sitting in their room, Menchi announces proudly:

"40 white-ranked dishes, and 6 light-green-ranked dishes! Also, I made 5 gray-ranked potions and 5 white-ranked potions. They only restore a bit of HP or raise a stat by 1 for a few hours, but I also managed to create 3 of these—[Minor Chakra Restoring Potion]. Not bad, huh?"

World: Naruto / Fantasy Realm

Quality: Light Green

Effect: Instantly restores 25 Chakra. Can't be used repeatedly.

Note: This potion was created by refining low-class soldier pills with a special Nen technique. A unique and genius craftsman created this potion and it can't be reproduced. The effect has been reduced significantly, but the side effects were negated in their entirety, making this potion safe to consume. Created by Menchi.

"Not bad? I'd say that's incredible. These potions are probably worth a ton of FC. I haven't even found an item that restores Nen yet. Chakra is also a rare resource—it's tied to a specific world and stat. This will definitely sell. I'll only take the 3 [Minor Chakra Restoring Potion] to sell alongside my other Naruto-world spoils. Keep the rest, Menchi, and sell it all. Buy more ingredients once we're back in the Realm!" Alex says, pride showing in his voice.

"Really? You don't want any of the FC when I sell that food? Why?" Menchi asks, looking genuinely confused.

Alex shakes his head. "Isn't it obvious? It's called investing. You need resources to improve. What's the point of leaving you broke and stuck? Just keep cooking. Sooner or later you'll be swimming in FC. Then you can repay me however you like. I'd honestly rather invest in you now."

"My… you really are in love with me, huh?" she says with a teasing grin.

"I wish that wasn't the case," Alex replies flatly.

"Hehe, how cute," Menchi giggles, kissing him.

Jewel glares at Alex with jealousy, her look sharp enough to slice steel.

Once Princess Jewel is able to….

As the day ends, Alex, Menchi, and Jewel join Tsunami and Inari, walking together towards the bridge.

Hundreds of workers and thousands of civilians, alongside Team 7, gather in a wide circle, cluttering the newly constructed bridge as Tazuna steps forward to speak.

"It has taken countless years of effort, but this bridge is finally finished! Thanks to Team 7 from Konoha, who spared no effort in protecting us—and to my friends Alex, Menchi, and Jewel—my coworkers and I managed to complete this bridge, despite Gatō's best efforts to stop us! Please give a round of applause for our saviors!" Tazuna shouts.

Everyone claps. Team 7, Alex, and Menchi all look visibly embarrassed. Only Naruto smiles brightly, soaking up the attention.

"Though I was opposed, this bridge now stands as a symbol of hope. I know a certain ninja who, despite his silliness, dreams of becoming Hokage. This bridge shall be named... the Great Naruto Bridge!"

He offered to name it after me… I refused. Changing the lore for personal pride is silly.

Mission: Accompany and protect Tazuna on his Journey to Konoha and back to the Land of Waves, assuring the completion of the Bridge connecting the Land of Waves with the Land of Fire. Completing this mission]

Finally, Kakashi steps up and addresses Tazuna. "We'll be leaving now. It's been a pleasure."

Alex nods at Tazuna, Tsunami, and Inari. "I hate drawn-out goodbyes… We'll be heading out too."

Inari starts crying a little, while Tsunami and Tazuna look visibly saddened. Tazuna bows deeply. "We won't forget your help! Please visit us anytime!"

As Team 7 departs toward Konoha, Alex waves at them. "I'll visit someday," he calls, before heading off in a different direction.

Alex and Menchi walk into a nearby forest—and suddenly, everything fades to black.

In the nothingness of the Realm, Alex sees the system messages:

[Player has completed his mission]
