Fast & Furious as Brian O'Connor with a system

Chapter 17: [17] I'm not sure about this chapter...

I can see Dom and Vince both doing this, especially with Brian already dating Mia.

The dimly lit garage reeks of oil, sweat, and betrayal. A single overhead bulb swings back and forth gently, casting jagged shadows across the concrete walls and the battered figure hanging from the ceiling hoist.

Dom stands in front of Vince, his broad shoulders tense, fists clenched at his sides.

The chainlinks rattle as Vince sags under his own weight, his arms pulled high above his head, wrists bound tight. His face is a mess bruised, swollen, blood trickling from one nostril and the corner of his mouth.

"You betrayed me," Dom growls, each word clipped with rage. He steps forward and drove a punch deep into Vince's ribs.

"You know what happens to those who betray me, Vince...or did you forget what I was willing to do to my own brother?"

Vince coughs, body spasming in pain as he struggles against the restraints holding him up as he wheezes, "He's a cop... he's a cop..."

Dom schools his expression not showing any emotions on his face as he grabs a handful of Vince's sweat-matted hair and yanks his head up, forcing the two of them to look each other eye to eye.

"I know," Dom says voice low and dangerous. "My inside man told me who Brian was the second they put him undercover."

Vince freezes the bloodied corners of his mouth twitching in disbelief, for a moment, confusion overtakes the pain in his eyes.

Dom dosen't give Vince the time to process this information fully as he lets Vince's head fall, stepping back with the weight of a man who has already made peace with the betrayal of his closest and oldest friend.

The garage echoes with the metallic rattle of chains and Vince's ragged breathing.

Dom turns his back on Vince, a flash of fury and pain flashing across his expression for less than a second before he buries it under cold indifference.

Dom begins to pace back and forth before heading towards a workbench, hands flexing as if still itching to cause more violence.

The overhead light swings lazily above Vince's slumped form, casting distorted shadows along the walls.

"You kept him close?" Vince raspes hoarsely, spitting blood. "You knew he was a cop and still let him—"

Dom spun back around, eyes blazing. "I didn't keeo him close...Mia drew him in, and I watched, waited... I wanted to know how deep he was in...for her and if he was willing to turn on the badge for her...or willing to betray her..." Dom pauses to breath in deeply than walks over to a toolbench, pulls open a drawer and pulls out a Glock .22 with a silencer on it.

"You should've come to me, Vince. Instead, you ran to the cops like a coward... because you were mad Mia doesn't want you." Dom mutters and pulls back the slide, turns raises the Glock in Vince's direction his hand shakes, he can't do it so his arm drops back down to his side.

"You're going to stay here until I decide what to do with you." Dom says turning away again, putting the gun back in the drawer.

"You're lucky that I still love you, Vince..." Dom mutters under his breath as he reaches for his phone.

Vince recognizes a moment when he sees it and slips the chains binding his wrists from the hoist's hook.

Drawing on the last of his strength and the adrenaline from desperation, scrambles towards the exit like a wounded animal ignoring Dom's bellow of "VINCE!"

Dom lunges for him, but Vince throws a toolcart into Dom's path, Dom runs into the tool cart sending him and tools clattering across the floor.

By the time Dom gets to his feet and tears out of the open garage door Vince has already disappeared from sight.

The lights inside Johnny Tran's garage buzz faintly as Lance watches a girl in a bikini work a pole, the metal of the pole shines under the fluorescents.

A loud knock on the side door breaks the trance, Lance grabs an Uzie walks over and cracks the door open, narrowing his eyes. "The hell happened to you?"

Vince stumbles in, clutching his ribs. "Get Tran...now."

Within minutes, Johnny Tran stands I over Vince who is sitting on a couch, Johnny's arms are crossed, over his chest and anger filled smirk of s

disgust on his face at the sight of Vince in his hang out.

"You look like shit…so what's Toretto's mutt doing in my turf?""

"I've got information," Vince croaks, wiping blood from his chin. "Real information. Toretto's whole operation…how they move, what cars they use, how often...everything."

Johnny raises an eyebrow, "And why would you betray Dom now?"

Vince's smile is bitter. "Because Dom chose him...over me! Even after all the shit we've been through together."

Tran considers this for a long moment, then slowly nods… "Alright Rat…start talking."

And just like that, cracks in Dominic Toretto's empire begin to spread throughout the foundations of his power base.
