Fate Uncoded : The Destiny Breaker

Chapter 11: Chapter 11 : alpha and beta

I am Alpha. I hold negative energy—and I was sent to the Demon Lands.

I walked with Beta through a twisted path and ended up deep inside a forest. It wasn't long before terrifying monsters began appearing. One demon attacked, but I stayed calm.

Then I saw it: a pure black slime. It smiled.

"Finally, someone worth my attention. What's your name, human?"

I replied,

"A human? Don't joke with me. Just thinking about them pisses me off."

The slime followed me.

"You're doomed, believe me. You don't want to deal with the Imperators. They're directly connected to the Demon King and lead elite divisions of demons. Even I can't mess with them. Six years ago, humans crushed an entire demon army—including an Imperator. Many died."

I sighed.

"Get to the point."

He said,

"I'm contacting you from very far away. I want to help you—if you help me. Most perfect lifeforms—dragons, slimes, demons—they're at their strongest in human form. If you can master that, even dragons would envy you."

I looked at him closely.

"Are you offering to train me?"

He nodded.

"More than that—I'll pass my position to you. I'll make you my successor."

"Exactly what I wanted." I grinned.

We made a pact. Then I asked him,

"Wait... are you the Slime King?"

He chuckled.

"Of course."

I asked again,

"Then do you know about the Vanguard Slime?"

He stopped laughing and grew massive in size, dark and ominous.

"How do you know that name?"

I kept cool.

"I found a notebook outside the forest. It had a ton of info. Said the Vanguard Slime was awesome."

He burst out laughing again.

After that, I stayed in the forest, hiding and perfecting my slime abilities.

One day, while hunting, Delta contacted me. He needed mana. I saw what he was dealing with—the golden liquid. That stuff gives off insane regeneration.

Thanks to him, I was able to master it.

Delta… you're awesome.

Now that I'm a full-fledged demon, it's time to present myself to

the Demon King's army… as the Slime King's descendant.

As the ground rumbled, a staircase began to form, spiraling downward into darkness.

I descended the steps cautiously. At the bottom stood an enormous door—10 meters tall, 7 meters wide. With a groan, it opened.

Inside was another world entirely—a vast underground city where demons lived in peace.

That moment hit me hard. Maybe… not all demons are evil.

They laughed. They worked. They lived.

Just like us.

So why are we even fighting?

Before I could reflect further, a monster approached. It looked like an octopus but wasn't. Its body was circular, covered in tentacles—no eyes, no mouth, yet it clearly gestured for me to enter.

Wait… does it want me to go inside its mouth?

No joke?

Turns out, it was a transportation creature.

I got inside. The world beneath was massive. Entire ecosystems had formed here, hidden from the surface. My escorts—powerful, terrifying beings—carried a monstrous aura.

I could tell these creatures had existed long before us.

After some time, one of the escorts turned and said,

"We're here."

He pointed at a grand structure.

"Those two are the protectors of the city. Don't worry."

Still, the sky was swarming with creatures—flying, flapping, hovering with menace.

Suddenly, one of them landed in front of me. Towering. Silent.

He reached out his hand. Compared to his size, I looked like an ant.

He flew me to the top floor of the castle. Once there, he gestured to a small balcony—my personal entrance from now on.

"This is your way in and out. Use it wisely."

I nodded and stepped inside.

Then it hit me.

A crushing pressure slammed me into the wall.

The aura—pure demon imperial energy.

I thought I was strong. I thought I was elite, even among demons. But this skeleton-shaped monster… he made me feel like nothing.

He didn't even move. Didn't need to. He used necromancy.

Negative mana allowed him to summon the undead, while his aura could resurrect ancient monsters through sheer will.

This wasn't just dangerous—it was catastrophic.

He finally spoke,

"So… your master refused me and sent you instead? A weakling? All talk?"

I replied,

"There's a reason."

He narrowed his gaze.

"What reason could possibly justify your weak slime powers? And you call yourself a descendant?"

I clenched my fists.

"Because of who I am. I can do far more than this… slime nonsense."

Suddenly, his aura surged. He slammed me down even harder.

"Watch your mouth. Demon powers are not crap."

Then he stepped back.

"As your first mission, you get to choose your target. What's it going to be?"

Without hesitation, I answered,

"Let me kill humans. They're useless. I want them all dead."

He smirked.

"Good. I like that rage. Then choose your prey."

I grinned darkly.

"The ones we've already encountered. We need to send a message."

His tone shifted.

"If you want to prove your loyalty… then kill England's King Fredrick."

My breath caught. He wasn't done.

"And after that… Edgard Evershade. King of the Kingdom of Avangard."

I nodded.

"Fear not, Imperial. I won't disappoint you. I'll kill everyone connected to them."

He laughed, but his voice turned cold again.

"Oh—and one more thing. Not long ago, someone tried a very successful mana drainage. The drainager was turned to ash. I want you to investigate. I want the one who did it."

"Who was it?"

"Lord Alistar. A powerful light magic user. Track him. Find his weakness. Bring me information. I don't give my power away for free."

He paused, then added,

"I'll take you to where he lives when you're ready. For now—go. Complete your mission. And remember… you're not just a demon now. You're my demon."

And just like that… it began.

I officially became a demon.

And now, I'm going to hunt down everyone connected to the mana drainage—every last one of them.

You'll all regret it.

It became a norm in the demon lands: demons living together, forming communities just like humans. They acted as one—united—until something changed. But beneath the surface, there was a harsh truth.

They're colonizing each other.

The Imperials are in a constant power struggle. As long as there are no external enemies, they remain "one." But the moment war brews between two Imperial factions, the claws come out.

Turns out, the mana drainage site I was in earlier…

It's being led by another Demon Imperial.

Which means...

I need to become a spy.

I have to infiltrate this rival demon imperial kingdom just to get close to Lord Alistar. That's the problem. But for now—I'll accept it.

I'm entering

training mode.

Vampire Lands – Beta's Perspective

Now me, Beta...

After Alpha's departure, I made my way toward a land soaked in blood—the Vampire Kingdom.

It was... stunning. Majestic. Developed.

Thick walls, towering gates... and an eerie beauty that caught the eye.

I struggled for a while at the gate, trying to open it. Blood magic was the key. I used blood manipulation—my first time, but it worked. Everything in this place required blood magic. Everything.

Eventually, I walked through the road. Two guards waited.

They asked for a blood sample.

I agreed, smiling.

The moment they analyzed it, they must've assumed I was a vampire—just not from this region. My blood wasn't listed in their registry, which meant… they were going to investigate further.

Standard security. Reasonable.

This city clearly doesn't take chances.

So, I decided to move smart—find a job and rent a house.

I found a guild. Pretty easy, honestly. But the receptionist hesitated.

"Have you registered before?"

"No," I replied casually.

She got a call. Probably them checking me out already.

Let's see how far they go.

That's when it happened. A hot vampire chick with healing and support abilities walked up to me. She smiled, her energy inviting.

She asked to team up.

Red flag? Probably.

She clearly wanted to get close.

I knew it wasn't genuine.

Still, I played along.

She introduced herself:

"My name is Rue Marcel. I just came from another city. What about you?"

I answered truthfully.

"I arrived today. Finding a place to stay hasn't been easy."

She offered a solution.

"You can stay with me… just don't try anything stupid."

Of course, this came after we talked, walked, and she flawlessly acted like it was all coincidence. But I don't believe in coincidences. Never have.

Everything is an intention wearing a mask.

As it got late, she invited me to a cafe. We ate.

The food?

Weird… and fascinating.

Meat toasted with special monster blood—used like cooking oil.

Even the drinks were blood-based.

Sodas had 40% blood content.

Engines, factories—everything ran on blood.

That's how the vampire world worked.

We kept talking. I asked her:

"How does blood healing work?"

She explained.

Most vampires access powers through their blood, tied to their genes.

The strongest of all is Blood Magic itself.

She had blood type O, meaning she could give blood to anyone but couldn't receive it from others. They're called Universal Donors.

Using this gift, they save lives.

In battle, when an ally is dying, they transfer blood into the victim's body—then channel their magic into the blood, healing them from within.

It's a slow, risky process, but extremely powerful.

She promised to teach me the process.

It's going to take time, but now…

I'm inside.

The game begins

Their eyes—more than anything—are like a lion's.

A lion checking for imposters or any animal that threatens its forest.

They close their eyes and scan for any imposter blood, poison, disease, and other irregularities.

But some vampires are extraordinary.

They can use their blood to regenerate wounds—or even restore a cut-off limb.

To be honest, I was almost surprised.

I could've said it was a coincidence... because my blood type is O.

That's great, but I didn't tell her. I just said,

"Fascinating."

And with that, another journey began.

---

I got into her house. It was kinda small.

She said she was going to take a bath.

I sat down and opened a book I found nearby.

It talked about the early age battles and the vampire relationship with humans.

I was impressed—well-written history.

But I knew… she was clearly waiting to see my reaction.

She even made sounds. Lewd ones.

Exactly what I expected.

Then she went silent.

Acting like someone who cares, I walked toward the bathroom and said,

"Hey, are you okay? Something wrong?"

She went silent, expecting me to barge in.

But I didn't.

Instead, I said,

"Wait a sec. I'll go get help."

Then she coughed and said,

"It's fine. I'm okay."

"If you're okay, then I guess it's okay."

I grabbed the book and left.

I washed at a rented bathhouse, then came back.

She was just getting out—wearing only a towel.

What the heck? Why is she taking it this far?

And who's ordering her?

I could feel the presence.

Ever since I got near the village entrance.

It's watching me closely.

Any wrong move, and every drop of blood in this city will turn into spears…

Ready to burst my chest wide open.

Still, I didn't react lustfully.

Not like she mattered.

I've grown up in situations where girls badmouthed me, humiliated me…

That made me hate them.

And from that hate, I built resistance.

A man who doesn't control his lust—isn't a man.

So I simply said,

"Sorry, I didn't know you were changing. I'll head out."

She replied,

"No, it's my fault. I should've been more careful."

After that, she went into her room and asked,

"Aren't you going to wash?"

"I already did," I told her.

"Then why are you wearing the same clothes?" she asked.

"Let's go buy some clothes."

It was nice—getting to know both her and this strange, constant pressure watching me.

As we walked, she bumped into a man and fell into my chest.

The guy said,

"Hey, watch where you're going!"

I stepped in:

"Yeah, sorry… but you're the one who should be careful."

He said,

"Well, I don't care."

"Then shut the hell up, kid."

He backed off.

"Yeah, sorry. Won't happen again."

She smiled.

"You were so cool."

"Nah," I said,

"A man should stand up for a woman. Don't you think?"

"Totally," she said, holding my hand.

We looked like a couple.

But how far is she willing to go just to test me?

We bought new clothes, had fun, took pictures…

Eventually drank a lot.

She acted drunk. I acted resistant.

Truth is—I wasn't even tipsy.

When we got home, she turned off the living room lights and led me to her room.

She said she already set up a foam sleeping pad for me.

"Cool," I said.

Then she asked me to help take off her jacket.

It felt too lewd.

But I did.

Suddenly, she jumped and hugged me tight.

"Be honest… you care about me, don't you?" she asked.

I pulled back.

"Wait… what's wrong with you? This isn't right."

She rolled over and pulled me onto the pad.

"Enough."

I stood up.

"Stop the act. I've been playing safe and normal with you because I don't want any trouble—with anyone.

This presence watching me… what is it trying to test? My balls? My loyalty?"

Then it happened.

Blood magic wrapped around me—pulled me like a vortex—and teleported me.

I landed in front of a king.

He looked young… but I could tell he was hundreds of years old.

He laughed.

And laughed again.

And again.

"A lot of people can't resist my wife, you know."

I looked up.

"Of all people… you used your wife... what a psycho you both are psycho."
