I teleported to the deepest part of the mountain, breathing heavily, my legs shaking. I couldn't believe how fast he was. Then, from behind, he said, "Are you here?"

I was shocked again. Who the heck is this guy? He looked straight at me and said, "I'm only asking once. Who are you and what are you doing here?" I snapped my fingers, thinking I was still perfectly invisible—yet he could see me.

In a panic, I snapped again and swapped him with a random customer I had seen earlier in a bag bar zone. He reappeared, looked around, and said, "I knew it," then ran back, chasing me again. In order to swap him again, I had to touch him—but he almost caught me.

Just before he could grab me, the earth swallowed me. I don't know how, but suddenly, I was deep underground. Everything around me turned colorful, like I was being transported to another world. Eventually, I landed in front of a grand castle. The doors opened on their own.

Inside, a pretty slime showed me the way. It led me through a corridor and said, "Enter." I entered the room, and someone inside laughed hard.

"You're really funny!" the voice said. "Seriously!"

"So, who's laughing?" I asked.

A girl stepped forward and said, "My name is Noa Enma."

I asked, "Are you the Slime King?"

She laughed again and replied, "I'm the Slime Queen."

Just then, a loud "Boom!" echoed, and I said, "He's here."

They laughed again. A guy stepped in and said, "I really saved your ass—even before you met me. Back when you became one, you were such a loser."

He continued, "Not gonna lie, I don't think I'm gonna survive this either. I could hold my own, but would I win? Maybe. Anyway, here we are, meeting at last. I am the Slime King the name's kazuki kagemaru nice to meet you one fourth of kurai delta

Delta(ebisu) said,

"You make it sound creepy chill broo chill"

Kazuki said,

"That girl sitting on the throne is my wife."

I looked at them. "You guys are just kids—maybe a year older than me. And you're married?"

He shrugged. "I love her so much I want to marry her. We're not married yet, but we're considered as one."

Then he said, "From here on out, I'm going to train you. You'll become strong, I swear."

I interrupted, "Actually, I want you to join me as a student at the academy."

He said, "Nah, bro. I decline."

"What do you mean by that?" I asked. "Please, just tell me. I want to experience academy life. I won't be the strongest in the group, but I at least want to bring someone strong. What do you say?"

He asked, "What's your prime reason for wanting to join the academy?"

I replied, "To be by Lyra's side."

"Are you going to contact her and talk to her?"

A comfy slime came over and laid behind me. I sat down and leaned back.

He began to tell me a story: "When I was a kid, my father was a magnet for problems. Wherever he went, trouble followed. Everyone thought it was just his life—but it was a curse. A curse inflicted by a human-demon named moirai's veil

Once cursed, you couldn't escape unless a powerful demon break the cursed for you …"

I managed to marry someone at least, and she gave birth to me. We lived a happy life. My father thought his curse would go away if he tried, but no one understood it and everyone judged him. Even though I loved him, I still wanted a better father. So when I was a kid, I always compared him to others.

When I got into an academy and registered as a hunter student, my mom died from an unknown curse—no cause—and she just suddenly died. Only my dad and I knew that she died because of my father's curse. Afterwards, my father began to lose hope and eventually changed. He began to get drunk and always spent time on TV. Even after a year, he became a completely useless man.

I got bullied and discriminated against because of him. Everyone began to say, "No matter what you do, a failed product is a failed product." After years, my father met someone at a drinking bar, and he was so captivated by her beauty because she looked just like my mom. He wanted to meet her and eventually did. They married, and that's when I met Noa. She is my stepsister.

I always felt bad for her. My stepmom planned to make her a hoe and use her to get some money, but I began to show her a future she wanted. I always made her look cute and showed her how to smile. I taught her everything, and since she transferred to our school, she became top-notch and famous. But my stepmom didn't like what was going on.

Then I said, "You guys never needed us in the first place. I'm leaving," and took her with me. With heavy anger, regret, and pain, we both ran to the forest as far as we could. We ran—we ran faster—and eventually, just like how you fall, we fell here.

Kazuki is a slime, but a parasitic one that can't live alone and needs a vessel. So he took me as one. As much as I despised demons and becoming one, I wanted power—to rule myself. Power is the only thing I want. So they took me as one, and now I'm Kazuki, the Slime King.

From that point on, I gave her a very rare slime called Inventor Slime, and that's how she became like me and is here now. So we live alone here. You get what I'm saying.

Then I replied to Kazuki and said, "What happened to your family?"

He said, "You're really sharp. I became a demon king, so I was able to lift the curse of my father and gave her mom medicine to forget her past. So they began to, and she became with no memory, lived a happy life. They moved on to another place. Father bought land after selling his house, and he is a farmer.
