Inside the Resistance Command Center, formerly known as Fortress Yuma, Raiden stood alongside Kori and Commander Beliand'r, who had discovered the Radion Mines.

"Good luck, Sir Raiden. May X'hal be with you," Beliand'r said as he exited the room.

Once alone, Raiden and Kori found themselves in an awkward silence, broken by Kori.

"Your mission... It is vital for us. So, good luck."

Hearing Kori's less-than-smooth words, Raiden replied, "Yeah, thanks." He briefly lowered his head before raising it again. "So... How has it been?"

"I'm doing... good... great!" Kori responded.

"I see. It's just... you know... ever since," Raiden started before leaving it for Kori to finish.

"Ever since I confessed to you," Kori admitted.

Feeling a twinge of pain in his heart, Raiden responded, "Yeah... I just wanted to know if you're okay."

"I am better. I shouldn't have even done that to begin with. I'm busy with the Resistance and all of this, so I'm not really ready for a relationship anyway," Kori said, offering excuses to mask the pain she felt.

"I am sorry, Kori," Raiden expressed.

"No! No, there's nothing to apologize for. I understand... Besides, you will be leaving us soon, right? A relationship with you was impossible to begin with. I never should have asked you," Kori acknowledged.

Feeling the pain intensify, Raiden got up from his seat. "I'm sorry, Kori. Had I met you sooner, I would have returned your feelings. I'm conflicted. I don't even know what I'm feeling these days. Raven is still my love and heart, but I like you too. I really do care about you, Kori. It's just... I don't wish to betray her."

Upon hearing this, a tear fell from Kori's eye. She resisted the urge to lash out and tell him he could love them both, as she did before. Not wanting to dampen his spirits before a dangerous mission, she suppressed her emotions and said, "Raiden, I understand, truly. Don't think too much about it. I'm royalty, and my loyalty belongs to Tamaran. I can handle my emotions. Now go, do what you must. We'll be waiting for your return."

Nodding, Raiden said, "Okay, I'll make sure to finish this mission and come back to you."

Using his binoculars, Raiden scanned the mine camp. 'This is weird; this place looks way too easy to sneak into. There are about twenty guards overall in the camp, and not even one Body Energy scanner,' thought Raiden.

Ever since Fortress Yuma fell, the entire Citadel Army had its camps and bases fully equipped with body energy scanners. They had figured out that the Resistance had someone who could go invisible and accounted for it.

'This isn't right. This mine should be a very important camp for the Citadel, yet they aren't guarding it as they should. Perhaps inside the mines, the security is more tight? It doesn't matter now; I'm here anyway. I'll see what this place is all about,' said Raiden.

He went into invisible mode and sneaked right into the camp, and just as he predicted, it was very easy. All he had to do was walk slowly, and there he was, right at the mine entrance. 'I should prepare myself for surprises; this place might be more guarded than the outside.'

Walking inside the mine, Raiden followed the light trail made by the miners. After walking for a long time, he reached the end—a very large cave that was completely empty. He was a bit surprised; it looked like there were still mining equipments here, and there were some Radion Rocks left, clearly showing that this was truly a mining field, yet it was empty now.

"What the hell? Why is this place empty like this? It's almost like they left in a rush," said Raiden.

"That's because they did," spoke a low voice. Raiden turned to see who just spoke, and he found himself hit with a small powder the man blew on his face.

"What the hell *Cough* *Cough*," said Raiden as he started coughing. Shocked, he saw the man who did this to him; he looked like a lizard with wings and was invisible before showing himself.

"That is the Shakrama flower Powder. To most races, it doesn't do much, but to humans... it is lethal," spoke the man.

Raiden opened his eyes wide as he started coughing. He fell on his knees, the coughing just didn't stop. He looked around, trying to find water; all around him, many lizard-like people started emerging, clearly removing their invisibility. He was being watched the whole time. 'This was a trap. I need some water.'

"Surprised that we know you're human? Ahahah, of course we do. We are the slavers; we are Gordanians. HAHAHA. Let me guess? You are looking for water?" spoke the Gordanian.

'Fuck, I should have known,' said Raiden as he crawled backward. The Gordanian that blew the powder smiled, looking at the pained Raiden before saying, "Oh, and by the way, Sir Raiden, let me introduce myself."

He then shape-shifted his body to that of the commander who sent him to the mines.

"Beliand'r, it was YOU," said the pained Raiden. The Gordanian smiled as he said, "Well, that was my alter ego. My true name is Grul. I'm an assassin, hired by Lord Trogaar to kill you."

"Damn you!" said the pained Raiden.

"Just so you know, you aren't alone in this. Lord Trogaar is attacking the Resistance as we speak to retrieve his slave, Koriand'r. The force that Lord Trogaar has is three times the resistance's force. He's also with Pegan min's Forces. The resistance will be snuffed out today, and you with it."

Hearing his words, Raiden felt pain as he started passing out, the poison inside his veins running quicker than his healing factor.

'Guess I'm not immortal after all, huh... Sorry, Raven... Sorry, Kori.'

"Alright, let's pick up his body. Lord Trogaar will want to see this," said Grul.

Initiating Summoning Ceremony

}

Raiden's body radiated a crimson glow as he underwent his latest transformation into the newest Servant.

Surveying his surroundings, Raiden noticed the Gordanians' astonishment at witnessing his revival. Even he found himself taken aback by his unexpected state of being alive. Suddenly, a voice echoed in his mind.

'Saber, Siegfried.

I have come in response to your summons. I shall assist you master.'

Upon hearing the servant's name, Raiden comprehended why the poison had proven ineffective. Siegfried wasn't merely a half-dragon; he also possessed the Disengage skill, rendering debuffs such as poison useless.

Turning his attention to his right, Raiden seized the first Gordanian's head, slamming it onto the ground, resulting in a gruesome spectacle akin to a watermelon splattering. He then unsheathed his sword from his back and cleaved the second adversary in two.

Swiftly glancing around, Raiden accelerated to the left, beheading more than twenty Gordanian soldiers with such speed that they couldn't react

Grul Was in utter shock, a moment ago he had achieved his three months long mission, of Assassinating Raiden Kagawa, the magician of the resistance, he was a human mage that was it, he had some prior knowledge to humans and magic, so he prepared for that, he brought up one of the deadliest poisons known to kill humans, and used it on him, he was sure that he had everything planned well, So why ? Why is the human he had killed awake ? why did his appearance change to that of a tall man with silver-grey hair ? Why is he holding a sword ? Why is he cutting his soldiers to pieces ! Why is his hands cut ? "Huh ?" said Grul as he tried to find his hands, they were not there

"AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH," Grul screamed as pain finally overtook him. Before he could finish screaming, Raiden stabbed him in the mouth, the sword exiting through his back. At that moment, Grul died.

"YOU TRAITOR!!!" exclaimed Raiden, stabbing the lifeless Grul once more.

'Master, it is over. He is dead. Please ensure to protect your back—that is your weak point... my weak point, betrayal,' advised Siegfried.

"We need to go back to the Resistance," said Raiden.

He swiftly exited the mine, and *BOOM*

A massive blast was released directly in his direction.

*BOOM*

*BOOM*

*BOOM*

Three massive ships started blasting him immediately after he emerged. They had been waiting for Grul to come out, but upon realizing the mission's failure through their comms, they intended to kill Raiden as soon as he surfaced.

The entrance area was filled with smoke, but one thing was clear.

A massive blue light shone up to the skies.

"The evil dragon shall fall.

And the world will reach its sunset.

I will bring you down

— Balmung!"

The light radiated brightly from the Phantasmal Greatsword in Raiden's hands, and he brought it down on all the ships one by one. They were not merely destroyed; they were obliterated, almost erased. Not only the ships but also the entire mountain range was flattened, with mountains cut in half and destruction filling the area.

Raiden marveled at the sheer amount of destruction he had caused, saying, "So this is the power of an Anti-Fortress Noble Phantasm."

'You are very special, Master. Your ability to collect mana from the surroundings and use it is almost as fast and as destructive as mine when I was alive.'

"Thanks," said Raiden, unaware of the magnitude of the compliment. Siegfried had the heart of a real dragon inside him, serving as a mana core. The fact that Raiden could compare to this was a massive achievement, enhanced by his skill {Determination of Steel EX}.

"The Fortress!" Raiden remembered as he used all of his speed to head back to the Fortress, Yuma.

20 Minutes Later

Raiden arrived late and surveyed the scene in shock. The entire fortress lay in ruins, with thousands of lifeless bodies scattered on the ground. The resistance had been completely obliterated, extinguishing the hope of Tamaran. As Raiden walked inside, there was no sign of any survivors; they had been entirely wiped out. Returning to his normal state, after he started to feel the pain of the transformation.

after a long while of scanning the area, and desperately searching for any sign of life. he said

"Damn it!"

"Nori! The village," Raiden shouted, recalling her, and immediately rushed to the village, which housed the ordinary civilians involved in the resistance.

Upon reaching the village, Raiden was consumed by anger. Similar to the fortress, it lay in complete ruins. The Citadel spared no one, whether elderly or children—they were all victims.

Sprinting to Nori's house, Raiden opened the door and frantically searched for her, but she was nowhere to be found. Racing to the backyard, he discovered her lying on her back, grievously wounded.

"Rai…Den," Nori's feeble voice uttered as she saw him. Raiden, heart pounding, attempted to stem the bleeding, his efforts futile in the face of impending tragedy.

"Don't speak, Nori, please," he implored

"Ka…ri….She is….Ali..ve….Please, Keep her safe….Find …her…In your …ship…Promise…Me…Safe…Kori," Nori pleaded.

"I promise! I promise! Please, just hang on. I'll find a doctor," Raiden said, tears filling his eyes and sorrow consuming his heart.

"I'm happy…..Thank you ….Raiden..For…Giving us….Hope," Nori uttered, passing away.

"No! No! NORI, PLEASE! Stay with me, PLEASE!!! Darn it! WHY, WHY NOW! THIS SYSTEM—WHY! WHY DIDN'T YOU COME BACK EARLIER! I COULD HAVE KEPT THEM SAFE! WHY, DAMN IT!" screamed Raiden in sorrow and self-blame.

...

After grieving for a while, Raiden dug a grave for Nori and laid her to rest. He then headed to the woods, where a waterfall concealed his ship. After repairing it, he securely stowed it there.

Entering a secret cave behind the waterfall, he found Kari sitting on the ground, writing with a stick, awaiting his return.

"Kari!" Raiden's voice trembled with anguish as he hurried to envelop her in his arms.

"Brother Raiden! Wait! Where's mommy? She said she would come with you!" Kari's eyes filled with anticipation, a glimmer of hope in her voice.

Raiden's eyes brimmed with tears, the weight of sorrow heavy in his embrace as he held Kari close. "I'm sorry, Kari, but Mommy's gone. Nori's gone."

"What! NO! This can't be! She said she would come waaaaaaa," Kari's cries echoed with disbelief and pain, her innocence shattered by the harsh reality.

Raiden held her, attempting to provide comfort, driven by the promise he had made.
