Fate/Eva Frankenstein

Chapter 11: Epilogue

"Not all monsters are born by choice. Some are created... and others are remembered."

— A popular saying among the villagers of the northern mountains

Epilogue: The Voice of the People

Over time, few remembered the precise details of that night.

The storm was so brutal that some claimed it never happened.

But in the villages scattered across the mountains, when the nights become too cold and the wind howls as if crying, someone always ends up telling the tale.

They say that years ago, a figure walked through the snow, covered in rags,

Dragging behind her a heavy mace and an even heavier sorrow.

They say she came looking for someone.

A man who created her… and destroyed her.

Betrayed.

Made with human hands, but with a heart that truly beat.

And that heart was broken.

They say man had created her, only to reject her. That he abandoned her, that he tried to destroy her.

But she came back. Not for love, not for justice. She came back for revenge.

And when she found him, there was nothing left of him but a sick body and a tired voice.

Something changed in her when she saw him.

She broke down... she cried.

Some say she was a monster, who had tortured and torn him apart.

Others, that she was a victim, a daughter who only wanted answers.

A broken girl who, in the end, found nothing but silence and death.

Not everyone saw what happened that night.

Only the village doctor, who never spoke of it again.

He was heard only once, when someone asked him what he had seen.

He replied:

"I don't know. Maybe... a daughter who came to bury her father."

And so the legend was born.

No one knows where she came from or where she went.

Only that, when she left, the storm ceased.

And since then, on nights of extreme cold, some swear they see a solitary figure wandering through the snow...with a sad look and an invisible burden on its shoulders.

A monster.

A demon.

A daughter.

An echo of human sin that refuses to die.

Frankenstein's Daughter.
