"Ara, didn't I tell you?"
Noticing Asher's surprised gaze, Morgan added, "Lily is also one of the people in this training."
"Let's encourage each other these two months," Artoria held out her hand.
After shaking hands with this ahoge-chan, Asher looked at her strangely, then turned his head to look at Morgan le Fay with a questioning expression.
"Are you wondering why I was able to bring Lily out?" Morgan le Fay immediately guessed his thoughts when she saw his gaze. "As long as King Uther agrees, no matter how much others disagree, it's useless, right?"
"Seriously, I put in so much effort for this," Morgan le Fay sighed. "To prove to King Uther that I have no ill intentions towards Lily, and to list the benefits of the training one by one—even that wasn't enough. In the end, I even made a geis."
"Geis...?" Asher repeated.
"Yeah," Morgan le Fay said, "I made a vow to myself that I wouldn't do anything to harm Lily."
"Alright, alright, let's not talk about this anymore. You two prepare yourselves, we'll set off in a moment."
After Morgan le Fay finished speaking, she left the hall, seemingly to prepare something, leaving Asher and Artoria sitting and looking at each other.
Fortunately, their relationship was already quite good, so there wasn't an overly awkward atmosphere. After chatting casually for a few sentences, they mounted their horses and left the city gate under Morgan's instructions.
In fact, Asher wasn't very used to riding horses because his physical fitness used to be too poor, and he couldn't ride for too long on a bumpy horse's back. Therefore, almost after a short while, he had already been left far behind by Morgan and Artoria.
Then, after a few minutes, the two of them rode back on their horses to Asher, who was still slowly making his way.
"You actually can't ride a horse?" Artoria looked at Asher with some surprise.
He was clearly quite skilled in martial arts, yet he couldn't ride a horse. This really exceeded her expectations.
"It's not that I can't ride a horse, it's just that I ride a bit slowly," Asher defended himself.
"It's not just a little slow," Artoria said, "If we travel at your speed, we probably won't reach our destination in a day."
"That's just because this horse is a bit slow..."
"No, you can't ride a horse," Artoria shook her head, "The horses we brought are all from the same place and are all healthy, so it's your problem."
"Alright, alright, let's stop here," Morgan gently patted Artoria's head, "Don't say that."
"That's right—"
Before Asher could finish speaking, he heard Morgan add, "Although what you said is the truth, you can't say it directly. It will hurt his male pride."
"Big Sister Morgan... your words are much more hurtful than Lily's," Asher looked extremely hurt.
"But it's also the truth," Morgan le Fay glanced at him. "Oh well, let's leave that horse for now. You can ride with me."
Hearing these words, Asher didn't act immediately, but instead looked a bit hesitant.
Although doing so now would be more efficient, he still felt a bit strange about it—having Morgan le Fay carry him on horseback and all.
"Or it doesn't matter if you ride with Lily," Morgan le Fay glanced at her as she finished speaking. "Lily wouldn't mind, right?"
"As long as we can reach our destination quickly," Artoria nodded.
"Hurry up, choose one," Morgan le Fay urged, her eyes playfully sizing up Asher.
Asher looked left and right, weighed his options, and had no choice but to look at Morgan le Fay and say, "Then I'll trouble you, Big Sister Morgan."
However, after he said these words, Artoria inadvertently frowned. "It feels like you're questioning my riding skills."
"No... it's just—"
"It's just that he likes me more than Lily, right?" Morgan le Fay interrupted Asher with a smile.
"Is that so?" Artoria turned her head to look at Asher.
They practiced together almost every day and had long been accustomed to each other's presence. Hearing Morgan le Fay's words at this moment, Artoria couldn't help but feel a bit disappointed.
"This kind of liking and that kind of liking are different..." Asher said, shifting his gaze.
This ahoge-chan didn't seem to realize the feelings between a man and a woman. Her so-called liking probably just referred to the liking between friends.
"Aaaah, this is so annoying, I get it! Then I'll trouble you for the rest of the way, Lily!" Asher scratched his hair, feeling a bit annoyed as he glanced at the calm and composed Morgan le Fay.
Was this also within Morgan's calculations?
He really hated this feeling of everything being calculated.
So, under Morgan's smiling gaze, Asher rode behind Artoria.
She glanced at Asher. "Hold on tight, or you'll fall off."
Having said that, she spurred her horse and caught up with Morgan le Fay, who was already galloping ahead.
On the bumpy horseback, Asher almost fell off and hurriedly hugged Artoria's slender waist, thinking why this development was a bit strange.
Logically, he should be the one riding the horse now, and the girl should be hugging his waist from behind.
But why was everything reversed?!
But there was nothing he could do about it, because his physical fitness used to be too poor, and his riding skills were indeed not very good.
"Are you feeling uncomfortable?" Artoria glanced at the young man behind her.
"It's alright..." Asher replied perfunctorily, clearly a bit distracted.
There was really nothing he could do. He was currently sitting on horseback, his body pressed against the girl's soft back, and his arms were around her waist. It was impossible to say he wasn't moved at all.
Rather, could anyone really be completely unaffected in this situation?
So, it wasn't his problem, it was the current position that was the problem!
Asher roared in his heart.
Amidst the constant jolting, the sky unknowingly darkened.
"It looks like we'll have to spend the night here for now," Morgan le Fay glanced at the dim forest ahead. "We'll continue our journey tomorrow. There are many monsters at night; it will be very dangerous."
Asher looked at Morgan le Fay strangely.
To actually say the words "very dangerous"... this didn't sound like Big Sister Morgan at all.
"Where exactly are we going?"
Despite his thoughts, he didn't say them out loud. Instead, he sat down to rest under a large tree. After a while, he raised his head and asked Morgan a question that he was quite concerned about.
"Oh, didn't I tell you?" Morgan le Fay glanced at Asher.
"You will survive in this monster-infested forest for two months."
"Of course, I won't help you with anything during this time. Remember, even if you encounter danger, I won't help," Morgan le Fay warned again. "If you can't even do this much, don't even think about recovering all the land occupied by the foreign races in the future."
Hearing Morgan's words, Artoria slightly tightened the sword in her hand, as if she had remembered something.
"Well then, have a good night, goodbye~"
After Morgan le Fay finished speaking, she turned around and transformed into a crow in an instant, flying away from the forest, leaving only Asher and Artoria sitting under the big tree, looking at each other.
After their gazes met for a moment, Asher finally said, "Um... should we go get something to eat?"
Artoria nodded slightly. "Let's go catch some prey in the forest. We still need necessary energy replenishment."
As she finished speaking, her usually calm and collected eyes actually brightened slightly, as if she was anticipating something.
