Fear and Hunger, Gamer Soul

Chapter 11: Chapter 10

....

The famous level 3, known as the prison, in the game was a place infested with enemies, Cavegnomes and Guards.

The place was full of empty cells and most of the floor was made of bars that prevented people from falling into an endless abyss.

It was scary and well, now looking at this endless hole in person....

I certainly want to kill the madman who designed this, I feel that any careless step I can end up breaking these bars.

As in the game, the Cavegnomes

frequently appear here to attack and they are unbearably annoying.

Weak as hell, but annoying with their number that never stops increasing.

I met some Guards who take care of the prisons... I killed some... I tortured others... I threw others into this endless abyss.

I did a lot of things and a curious fact, different from the game, there are actually prisoners here, how curious in a prison with prisoners hahahaha.

Most people have already lost their minds, you know that old dungeon game mechanic that destroys the sanity of those inside it.

You know, I could go into the merits of how I explored this floor and everything...

But the fact is that there was nothing to really explore, I could weakly talk about the prisoners and their sad stories and blah blah blah...

But I can't even have a normal conversation with the Guards, now imagine the prisoners.

There really isn't anything interesting around here other than the elevator lever that connects level 2 Bloodpit with level 4 the Caves.

But to tell the truth, I won't even need to activate that lever, you ask me why?

Apparently the Elevator is already in Bloodpit.

And that's why I'm officially abandoning my great friends that I met in these few days that I spent here.

Yes, days!

That fight really tired me out and I decided that I needed to get stronger.

And well.... As I said before there were many Cavegnomes and when I say many I'm not joking.....

That's why....

In these few days I have killed thousands of Cavegnomes and I am fed up with this place.

You can officially call me Goblin Slayer... Oops wrong story!

You can call me Gnome Slayer and yes, having killed thousands of these flying pests has given me a new title.

Now back to the main topic, I'm going back to Bloodpit to go down the elevator to go to the caves, and the point that now made me cautious...

I don't know what's next, when I was still in my other life and was playing the game I couldn't explore level 4.

So now I don't know what might come next, what might happen, what enemies I might end up encountering... I can't deny that it's a little exciting and scary.

But whatever, I still haven't managed to gather all the lesser souls I need to unlock my first skill, I currently have 83 lesser souls.

Seriously, killing thousands of these Gnomes to get that amount is really unfair, but whatever.....

Finishing climbing the stairs, Leon finally came across a floor covered in pieces of meat.

"Finally, home sweet home!" Leon commented as he feigned excitement as he finished climbing the stairs to Bloodpit.

Wasting no more time, Leon walked in large strides towards the place where the elevator should be.

After an hour of walking towards the place, Leon began to feel the air getting colder and heavier.

Stopping suddenly, Leon with a serious look whispered.

"This isn't right...." Before Leon could continue...

The entire floor began to shake and then stopped abruptly... And then it repeated again.... And again.... With each second the shaking grew stronger.

Suddenly from the shadows, a giant bull's head appeared.

Leon was paralyzed for a second and so was the bull monster.

Until he suddenly began to crawl quickly towards Leon, making his step shake as he screamed loudly, making Leon's ears hurt.

"What the hell is this?" Leon shouted in shock, as he dodged the monster's mouth that had already reached him even though he was crawling.

With Miasma in hand, Leon tried to make a cut on the bull monster's face, but all he managed was to make a small scratch that quickly disappeared.

"Okay!" Leon commented, disgusted with the outcome of his attack.

Without worrying about defending himself, the monster began to try to hit Leon, using its mouth to try to tear off a piece of Leon and its arms to crush him.

After so long, Leon finally met an opponent that he had no idea how to beat.

Maybe the eyes?... Just a failed attack, they were as hard as his skin, keep cutting so that Miasma's poison would affect him?... That would be a good plan if at least Miasma managed to cut a bit of his skin, those scratches were so superficial that Leon didn't believe he had actually managed to cut anything.

This was simply a walking war tank, Leon could have the best rifle of all, but how would he beat a fucking war tank in an honest x1.

It would be easy if he could get inside the tank and kill its operator but...

Good morning, good afternoon and good evening to everyone, except me, I have a small personal problem! My PC's power supply simply decided to burn out... Incredible I would say, I have no idea why this happened, but well sometimes in life this happens so let's not cry over spilt milk, what I want to tell you by telling you this is that from now on I will start writing using my cell phone and for this reason last week's chapter was delayed and is coming out now. I haven't abandoned the story and I don't intend to abandon it, there's just one small problem: volume 2, which would be adapting game 2 of Fear and Hunger, might take longer than expected to actually be posted after volume 1 is finished.

So I hope you understand and continue to support me as always, thank you in advance!

Next chapter will be updated first on this website. Come back and continue reading tomorrow, everyone!
