Fear and Hunger, Gamer Soul

Chapter 9: Chapter 8

.....

You want to know something, I really don't know how strong I am in this world, sometimes it seems like I'm invincible and all I encounter are just little bugs that I can easily step on.

And then at another time I'm trapped in some kind of mind control magic for months... And then you're finally freed from the mind control after being devoured alive...

Maybe that messed with me a little, watching an old woman devour you alive, watching your little brother being eaten up close...

Leon shivered as he remembered and his entire body turned pale...

Maybe that messed with me more than he'd like to admit...

Looking ahead there was a fragile looking wooden door, the door itself had signs and symbols drawn in red with a liquid that appeared to be fresh blood, which in itself was strange since that same liquid had been lying on that door for a long time.

Taking a small talisman from his pocket, Leon placed it on the door and waited.

With a suspicious look on his face as he saw nothing happen, a thought suddenly entered Leon's mind....

'Maybe some kind of keyword.....'

"Open!"

"Abracadabra!"

"Alakazam!"

Seeing nothing happen, Leon looked around embarrassed and kept trying new words...

"Kamehameha!"

"Serious Punch!"

"Kagebushim!"

"Cruel Sun!"

"Muryo Kusho!....."

An eternity later.....

"Damn! Still nothing? I'm running out of ideas..... my last option might be the famous Talk-no-Jutsu!"

Suddenly smoke began to come out of the talisman and then soon after small embers that soon turned into flames covered the symbols completely, a few seconds later all the flames went out as if they had never existed, disappearing along with the symbols.

Look at that, Leon looked in shock at the door and then at his hand....

"Such a powerful jutsu..... In the hands of someone as irresponsible as me.... I don't deserve such an honor..."

Looking at the door, Leon suddenly adopted a resolute look.

"Door! Understand, I was also like you! You know, I also had no friends and no....."

Before Leon could finish the door, it simply fell backwards and then turned into dust little by little.....

"What the hell is this?" With his eyes wide open, Leon shouted.

After a few moments, Leon decided to ignore what had happened in the last few minutes to preserve his sanity.

Entering the room in front of him, Leon found a stone table in the center of the room.

Approaching the table, Leon placed his hand and then felt his eyelids starting to get heavy.

Before he knew it, Leon found himself in a dark place with only a screen in front of him with two options.

[Soul Skills]

[Affinity Skills]

Without wasting any time, Leon selected the first option...

[Skills]

[Inventory]: You have a space where you can store your things, items stored inside your inventory will be kept inside it even after death. (Note: You will feel the weight on your body of all items you put in your inventory, so be careful not to crush yourself with the weight of the things you put there.)

Cost: 100 Minor Souls.

[Checkpoint]: Using this skill saves the location as your return point upon death.

Cost: 1000 Minor Souls.

[Party]: You can create a party and invite people to join it, who will benefit from some benefits of your choosing. (Note: Party members are not damaged by other party members.)

Cost: 500 Lesser Souls = Can invite one member to the party.

Cost: 5000 Lesser Souls = Can invite two members to the party....

Leon looked at the exorbitant cost of the last skill and couldn't help but curse.

This was simply daylight robbery!

Thinking about the measly 10 Lesser Souls he had in his possession, Leon couldn't help but think that these skills were a bit too expensive, but thinking about how useful they were, he ended up thinking otherwise in the end.

This was too cheap!

"Buying inventory first is simply the best move, I could get as many Lesser Souls as possible and then put them in the inventory and kill myself and repeat the process..."

"But for now I can't buy anything... That's a bit sad to be honest..."

Letting out a sigh, Leon closed his eyes and then opened them again to find himself in the room with the stone table in the center. Taking his hand off the table, Leon with a determined look left the room. Crossing several corridors, Leon finally arrived at his room. His room was small, but all over the floor there were several swords and spears stained with dried blood, in the center of the room was a bed with a large chest next to it. Walking to the chest, Leon took out a necklace that was around his neck that contained a key. Inside the chest was a backpack that was full of silver coins and his favorite Yandere sword. Dropping all the coins from the backpack into the chest and then picking up Miasma in his hands, Leon began to listen to its endless whispers. Ignoring this, Leon took out ten small stones that had a faint light blue glow and threw them inside the chest and then locked it. With the completely empty backpack on his back and Miasma in his hand, Leon headed towards the room where Rudimer was.

As he passed near a certain room, Leon's hands began to sweat coldly and his breathing stopped, his heartbeat began to accelerate with no signs of stopping.

Leon's face changed into countless expressions, from fear, hatred, anxiety, joy...

Leon felt so many things that he didn't know what he really felt until...

'Hey you little shit! What are you doing standing still?'

Hearing a whisper in his mind, Leon let out a sigh and headed towards Rudimer's room without looking back with one thought in mind....

'Not yet... It's not time yet...'

"Miasma... Thank you, you really are the best girl!" Leon spoke in a low voice in gratitude.

Miasma reaction (╯°□°)╯

Good morning, good afternoon and good evening to you all, regardless of where you are, arresting is releasing another chapter today on this beautiful Saturday in the evening, and now we will begin to explore this dungeon deeper in the next chapter, I hope you enjoyed the chapter.

I have some addendums about this chapter and I would like your opinion.

I know we didn't advance the story in this chapter, but I wanted to make some points of this story clear once and for all and that is the skills of Leon's Soul.

Someone once made a comment to me about Leon's soul, the Gamer Soul, and I feel that this may be a question that others may have.

I don't remember exactly what I answered to that person or if I actually answered, I am a human being and I am also flawed and so this is my answer to why it is called Gamer Soul, all three skills that can be learned are focused on skills that exist in games in general.

Thank you in advance for your support and may you all have a wonderful day!
