Chapter 2: **Chapter 2: Pillow Under Gold, Severing the Bloodline**

Li Jinshan frowned as he surveyed the Feng Shui layout. The truth was clear: Chen Tinghai's childlessness stemmed from the *Pillow Under Gold* formation. Though it had granted Chen wealth, it demanded a steep price—**no heirs**.

"Brother Chen," Li Jinshan said gravely, "this formation requires **immense ancestral virtue**. Without it, wealth blooms… but the lineage withers."

Chen feigned panic. "What can I do? Is there… another way?"

"There is," Li Jinshan hesitated, "but—"

"*Please!*" Chen knelt, tears crocodilian. "You owe me your life! Help me, or my fortune dies with me!"

Bound by gratitude, Li Jinshan relented. He chose a new site: the *Lotus Pod Embracing Sons Formation*—a cluster of seven hills cradled by mountains, resembling a lotus pod with seven "seeds." Chen's parents were reburied atop the tallest peak, with seven empty tombs below the hills.

As the rites concluded, thunder roared from clear skies. Li Jinshan's vision darkened—**he was blind**. The heavens' wrath had come swiftly.

Within a year, Chen's wives bore him **seven sons**. Grateful at first, Chen soon discarded the blinded geomancer to a stable, reveling in his cruelty:

"I saved you *only* for your skills! Your 'Qin Tian Jian token' betrayed you. A tool, nothing more!"

Li Jinshan seethed. "You snake! I gave you heirs, and this is my reward?!"

Chen kicked him into the filth. "Rot here, blind fool."

For **decades**, Li Jinshan endured, until a boy named Li Tiancheng—destined to become Li Chengfeng's grandfather—stumbled into the stable, unwittingly setting fate's next wheel in motion…
