Fiancée Eloped at the Engagement Banquet?

Chapter 3: Calling for Reinforcements – Inviting Second Uncle, the Martial Saint, Home

In the storyline, Gao Wei was undoubtedly Xiao Fan's most important supporter in the early stages—no one else even came close.

As the Vice Dean of the Kyoto Martial Arts Academy, he had provided Xiao Fan with numerous resources, cultivation techniques, and protection.

Especially during this engagement banquet—originally, the Qin family had the power to wipe out both the male and female protagonists. However, they were stopped by Gao Wei, who, through sheer strength, forcibly took away Xiao Fan, Liu Xinyao, and the entire Liu family.

The only reason he dared to do so was because the Qin family's most formidable forces—one Martial God and two Martial Saints—were all stationed at the border.

Had even one Martial Saint been present, Gao Wei would have died here today.

Even though Qin Yan already knew what Gao Wei intended to do, he still pretended to ask:

"Vice Dean Gao, what exactly do you think you're doing?"

Gao Wei stood up and replied, "Qin Yan, I won't deny that what they did today was wrong. But they're still just students—young and impulsive. Yet, you insist on killing them. Don't you think that's going too far?"

"Impulsive?" Qin Yan's voice turned ice-cold. "Vice Dean Gao, Liu Xinyao has humiliated the Qin family today, turning us into a laughingstock across Kyoto. And you think 'impulsiveness' is an excuse?"

Gao Wei chuckled, "Indeed, this incident has made things difficult for the Qin family. However, the Liu family head has already stated that they will severely discipline Liu Xinyao when they return. Additionally, the academy will also punish Xiao Fan accordingly. Would that be acceptable?"

Hearing this, Xiao Fan, Liu Xinyao, and the Liu family all felt a glimmer of hope. They looked at Gao Wei with eager anticipation, hoping he would take them away at once.

"Unacceptable," Qin Yan refused outright. "No one can trample on the Qin family's dignity and walk away unscathed. No exceptions."

Gao Wei was silent for a moment before speaking again. "Qin Yan, could you grant me this favor? I promise they will receive severe punishment."

Qin Yan sneered disdainfully, "And what is your 'favor' worth? What qualifications do you have to demand that the Qin family give you face?"

Hearing this, Gao Wei's face darkened instantly, his voice growing heavy. "So, Qin Yan, you're telling me you won't give me this face?"

Qin Yan's reply was firm and decisive. "That's right. They must die today."

Gao Wei let out a cold snort, releasing the oppressive aura of a Half-Saint. "And what if I insist on taking them with me?"

Qin Yan stood his ground. "Then go ahead and try. Qin Wu, kill that shameless couple."

"Yes, Young Master!" Qin Wu roared in response.

He swiftly drew his long blade and charged at the two, the chilling gleam of the blade flashing as he prepared to strike them down.

Xiao Fan was so terrified his soul nearly left his body. Panicked, he screamed, "Master, save me!"

Just as the blade was about to slash down, Gao Wei reacted instantly, extending his hand. A massive purple palm print suddenly appeared beside Qin Wu and struck him hard.

Boom!

Qin Wu's body was sent flying, crashing into the wall and leaving a gaping hole. He spat out a mouthful of blood.

Gao Wei then attacked again, repelling the guards who were restraining the Liu family and severely injuring them.

After doing all this, Gao Wei bellowed at Xiao Fan and Liu Xinyao, "What are you standing there for? Run!"

Only then did they snap out of their daze, scrambling to their feet and sprinting outside.

The rest of the Liu family also reacted and hurriedly fled from the banquet hall.

From below the stage, Yun Qing panicked and shouted, "Stop them! Don't let them escape!"

Another squad of guards rushed in to intercept them, but Gao Wei charged forward, roaring, "Get lost!"

With a wave of his hand, a giant purple palm materialized, swatting away the guards. He then led Xiao Fan and the others out of the hall.

Yun Qing stomped her feet in fury. "Damn it! Those bastards should all be dead!"

If Liu Xinyao's actions were a slap to the Qin family's face, then Gao Wei's intervention was akin to stomping their face into the dirt.

Qin Yan, however, remained unfazed. He simply walked to Yun Qing's side and spoke calmly.

"Mother, don't be angry. Your health is more important. If you get upset, I'll feel terrible."

Yun Qing looked at Qin Yan, her eyes red with emotion. "Yan'er, they're trying to destroy you!"

Gazing at the fleeing figures, Qin Yan's eyes turned frigid. "It's fine, Mother. Trust me, I'll handle it."

Yun Qing nodded. "Alright, I believe in you."

Qin Yan gave a slight nod, then took out his phone and dialed a number.

Before long, the call connected, and a hearty voice came through.

"Hahaha! Yan'er, why are you calling me now? Is your engagement banquet over?"

"Such a pity I couldn't be there. Your father and I are stationed at the border and can't leave easily. We'll have to wait until your wedding day to return."

Qin Yan's voice softened slightly, carrying a hint of grievance. "Grandfather, I was bullied."

His grievance wasn't for himself, but for the injustice faced by Qin Qi and the Qin family in the original storyline.

This old man had fought for Great Xia his entire life, slaying countless enemies.

Yet in the end, his entire bloodline was wiped out. Consumed by grief and rage, he sought revenge—only to be surrounded and beaten to death by the protagonist and his allies.

As for the Qin family, almost all its male descendants perished on the battlefield.

By tradition, every Qin descendant who reached a certain age had to join the war.

Even the injured veterans, when their lives neared their end, would return to the battlefield, dedicating their final moments to war.

Yet, despite their endless sacrifices, this family of heroes was ultimately exterminated.

And the justification? A meaningless "The Qin family lost its original ideals."

According to the protagonists, this loss of ideals was because some young Qin heirs indulged in a life of pleasure.

But the truth was, they only sought enjoyment because they didn't want to die without ever experiencing life.

Thinking of this, Qin Yan felt an uncontrollable rage boiling inside him. He refused to accept such a fate for the Qin family.

Sensing something amiss in Qin Yan's tone, Qin Qi's voice grew stern. "What happened, Yan'er? Tell me everything—I will stand up for you!"

Qin Yan briefly explained the situation before adding, "That Gao Wei only dares to act like this because you, Father, and Second Uncle aren't in Kyoto."

Hearing this, Qin Qi flew into a rage. "That bastard! How dare they trample on my Qin family just because we're not there?"

"Yan'er, do whatever you see fit. I'll support you unconditionally."

This was not only a show of trust but also a test for the next Qin family head.

Qin Yan's eyes gleamed coldly. "Anyone who dares humiliate the Qin family—must die. Grandfather, I want Second Uncle to return with an elite force."

Qin Qi immediately agreed. "Alright! I'll have your Second Uncle return right away. He'll be there within an hour!"

A smile crept onto Qin Yan's lips. "Thank you, Grandfather."

Meanwhile, Yun Qing also made a call.

"Big Brother, your sister and nephew are being bullied to death. Are you going to do something about it?"

"If you are, then get back here—within an hour."

"I don't care if you're at the border—if you're not here in an hour, I'll disown you as my brother!"

She hung up angrily and sat down with a huff.

The Yun family was also one of Kyoto's great clans, and they, too, had a Martial Saint—Qin Yan's grandfather, Yun Batian.

Yun Batian had four sons but only one daughter—Yun Qing—whom he and his sons doted on immensely.

Now that Yun Qing and Qin Yan had been humiliated, the Yun family would never sit idly by.

Qin Yan smirked.

The male and female leads? Gao Wei?

Let's see how you'll survive this.
