NOVEL ONLINE FREE Chapter 18: Chapter 18: New Challengers..; The Dark Elves Frightening Power!
Hey guys, I'm back! Sorry for the wait, I'm back to updating this story! Anyways, I'm happy to see this story is getting some good feedback and reception by you readers. After brainstorming about where exactly I'd like the story to go, I have determined that the best options pairing wise for Blake are going to be a familiar pair of saiyan characters from dragon ball legends. Those characters being Shallot or Giblet, they'd just make a little bit more sense for Blake.
As for the other females such as Hailfire, Velvet, Emerald, and Coco.. Below is what I'm thinking in regards to their pairings:

Let me know which pairings you guys like better. Whichever pairings are liked more and get the votes to support them, i'll consider making some short chapters to help with their relationship. I'll also at least consider whichever pairings are chosen. Anyways that's enough for now, onto the story.

Opening theme: Song 4 U (Tales of Xilia 2)
Visuals: replace the tales characters with the characters in this story. Villains being Cinder and Emerald. Mercury caught in the middle between the fighting sides unsure of which side to go with. Odyn and Ruby fighting against Cinder and Emerald respectively with the other characters fighting off the Grimm. Opening ends with Khanna extending a hand towards Mercury and the boy accepting it and joining the others after hesitating.
Chapter 18: New Challengers; The Dark Elves Frightening Power!
The scene starts on the familiar shot of Team JNPR readying themselves against their opponents in the Amity Colosseum, the mountains to their back and forest on the other side. A large holographic screen counts down with Peter Port over the crowd's cheering.
Port: 3...., 2...., 1....
Jaune raised up his sword and encourages his teammates.
Jaune: Come on guys, we can do this!
All of JNPR nods and agrees with their leader.
Port: BEGIN!
All four members of JNPR charge forward, but only three fighters from BRNZ do the same; the beanie-wearing May Zedong turns around and heads into the trees, cocking her weapon. Just before impact, the other voice inside Pyrrha warns her to be on her guard.
"Someone's approaching to your right, Pyrrha!," The voice warned her.
The ginger reacted accordingly, much to the surprise of her opponent. Her opponent wasn't expecting her to block his blow so fast. Though, she did skid back due to the force of the blow.
The former mistral champion then jerks her sword away and makes him leap back, just as the sniper jumps up into the branches of the forest with the bladed butt of her sniper rifle. Lie Ren readies his StormFlower to attack Nolan Porfirio, who almost gets blindsided by Nora Valkyries swing with Magnhild before he ducks under the attack and attempts to hit her with his cattle prod. The sniper girl finally takes aim from her spot and manages to fire off two rounds near Ren, destroying the rocks behind him. Jaune manages to block the buzzsaw gloves of Roy Stallion with his own shield before he notices the bullets flying and sees the glint of the gun in the leaves.
Jaune's eyes widen at this as he orders his team to reatreat.
Jaune: F-Fall back!
Ren glances back at his leader as a shot hits the ground by his feet. He and Nora start running back into the mountains as Jaune and Pyrrha cover their escape by blocking the bullets with their shields. The four leap over a rocky outcropping for cover.
Pyrrha looked to Jaune as she spoke while dist bullets kept flying around their hiding spot.
"What's the plan now, Jaune?" Pyrrha asked.
Jaune peers over the edge to see tye close quarters fighters coming towards them before quickly speaking, having a plan.
"Spread out! Try to keep moving! I'll keep the big guy here, distracted. You guys keep the rest of them occupied.," Jaune said.
A/N: Sorry i keep changing the dialogue, but the quotation marks work better lol
May gets even higher in the tree and smiles from behind her scope as she looks at the fight below. Brawnz and Pyrrha continue to duke it out while Nolan slowly advances on Ren when he slides into his path. The prod-wielding warrior looks back at the trees and nods to his hidden ally, who shoots at Ren's feet again and makes him jump around trying to dodge them. Just as he lands, Nolan hits him upside the head with his weapon and is able to easily dodge the retaliatory kick while landing another blow to Ren's knee and a final hit to the chest using the business end of his prod. Electricity shoots through Ren's body before he collapses to the ground beside his childhood friend.
"Ren!," Nora cried worried.
Scowling, Nora takes a swing at Nolan, who promptly dodges it and again unleashes his weapon's power into her corset, though this causes a quite different reaction from the grinning redhead. This confusion turns into surprise when Nolan realized what happened.
"What the-?!," Nolan said surprised and not expecting Nora to just grin at him.
"Oh- ho! Looks like one of my favorite students, Nora Valkyrie, is charging up to use her Semblance!," Port said from overhead on the giant hologram screen alongside Oobleck.
Nolan looks surprised at this announcement.
"What?", Nolan asked with a panicked look.
"Yes, Ms. Valkyrie's Semblance lets her produce, as well as channel, electrical energy straight to her muscles! This allows her to jump explosively into the air, wield her mighty hammer, or in this case, absorb Nolan's attacks and send the young man flying!", Oobleck agreed.
"What?!," Nolan said even more panicked than before.
Nolan finally takes his cattle prod away, but the damage is done: Nora flexes her arms as pink lightning is seen coursing through her body. Nolan attempts to lift his hands up in surrender, but thunder starts sparking from Nora's Aura as she rushes at him. There's a split-second where Nolan's horrified face and Nora's victorious smile are seen close-up on the sides of the screens before the hammer hits head-on and Nolan bounces back across the field, crashing through a rock and staying there when he's stopped moving.
Jaune looks back at the mountaintop on his team's side as a dark storm cloud appears over it, crackling with lightning. He looks over at his energized teammate. He had an idea. It was crazy, but it just might give them the upper hand.
"Nora! Get to that mountain top! That thunder cloud should help us!," Jaune ordered.
Nora promptly salutes to him as she dashed off towards the mountaintop.
"You got it!," Nora said dashing off.
Jaune then realized they needed to distract the sniper from Team BRNZ, so he looked to Ren before speaking.
"Ren, distract the sniper!," The blonde leader called out.
Ren looks at Jaune before slouching as another shot from the sniper narrowly missed his head.
"Sure.. why not?,"Ren replied sarcastically.
Meanwhile, the other 3 members of JNPR run forward as Nora hpos and skips up the mountain as fast as she can. Roy tossed the saws from his gloves into Jaune's shield, which manged to bend the metal and cause the blonde's own defense to whack him in the face before the said weapons return back to the sender. Pyrrha, who appeared beside Roy, manages to hold him off as he takes a series of spinning swings with his arms at the redhead. This gives Jaune time to shake off his dizziness before charging back into the fray again. As they continue to fight, the voice inside Pyrrha takes over her body again and does something that surprised the onlookers. She blocked his hit, before grabbing his arm, and flipping him in one fluid motion.This left him open to Jaune's attack.
"Now, Jaune!," Pyrrha said.
Jaune nodded before ramming his shield into the other teen's face and delivering a powerful thrust with his sheathed sword to knock his opponent back.
"Yeah! Keep it up, Jaune!," Ruby yelled from her seat in the stands.
"Well, he's certainly improved.," Weiss said.
"True, but he still ain't got nothing on Pyrrha!," Yang said.
Blake's eyes narrowed. Not out of anger, but more out of suspicion due to the move Pyrrha pulled off just a moment ago.
"That... may be true but... Those moves.. they looked eerily similar to certain dark elven friends of ours.," Blake said.
"You suspect something, Blake?," Weiss asked.
"I'm... not sure just yet. But there's definitely something.. not normal about those movements Pyrrha is pulling off.," Blake said.
Back to the fight, Yang's vote of confidence is proven to be true with Pyrrha taking on both Brawnz and Roy. She was actually dominating them pretty easily, and the strange thing was.. she didn't even look like she was trying. That alone was a little.. odd to say the least. The redhead is easily overpowering two people at the same time, that... wasn't normal. She not only was easily dodging Brawnz' discs he threw, but she also was severely overwhelming both of them with martial arts. Not that she was poor at it, but it wasn't something she was well known for. And yet, the martial arts she displayed in that moment easily overpowered both teen boys.
May attempted to shoot Ren while he dashed his way towards her position, leaping out of the way of her shots, the flying saws, and even sliding underneath Pyrrha, who was dealing heavy damage to brawnz and roy. Ren then ran towards, Nolan, weapons blasting and firing away until he's close enough to start using the blade part of his dust weaopns. Once in range, he ducks and deflects each of Nolan's attacks until he managed to catch the opposing weapon in his pistol blades. He then, double kicks his opponent, giving him the opportunity to catch the other boy's weapon in his own before forcing the metal prod behind Nolan's head leaving him trapped for the time being. Ren maneuvers himself to hide behind the other teen for when May took aim at him. She clicked her tongue in frustration before lifting the barrel of her gun towards another target.
While he held the struggling Nolan in place, he then shouted to his teammate.
"Nora!," Ren shouted.
Brawnz had eventually switched to fighting Jaune after not wanting to go near Pyrrha at the moment. The blonde managed to catch his saws with his blade before speaking.
As Nora lifted herself higher and higher, she briefly looked back towards her teammates as she made her way to the top of the mountain.
"Pyrrha! Up!," Jaune called to his partner.
His partner dashed towards him, easily rolling under a launched saw before landing on top of Jaune's shield. He throws her into the air as she raises her shield to block the kill shot from the sniper aimed at Nora. This gives the orange haired girl more than enough time to reach the summit before lifting her hammer. Lightning strikes her weapon directly, charging her up. Nora switched her weapon back to the grenade launcher and pops the front off to show six explosives that are launched out over the field in a heart shaped form right at the sniper. The girl barely has any time to gawk at the attack before having to leap over to another tree, just as the one she was in ignites into pink colored flames. The aftermath leaves only a sizable scorch mark and billowing dark colored smoke, effectively blocking the sniper's view. She jumps down to the ground, just as her other 2 teammates look up and behind them to see Nora descending upon them. Like a meteor, she descends and slams down her hammer into the ground, sending them flying back to the feet of their disoriented teammate. Jaune looks to his teammates.
"This is it guys! Let's finish them with team attacks!,"Jaune said.
"Yeah!," both of them replied.
He raised his sword.
"Ren! Nora! uh... Flower Power!," Jaune said.
"Wait, what?," Nora asked confused.
Jaune lowers his blade as he looks at his confused teammates.
"F-Flower Power...?," Jaune said.
Ren and Nora shrug still confused as they look towards each other in bewilderment.
"That's your team attack name!," Jaue said trying to convince them.
"Since when?,"Ren asked curious.
"You know what? Nevermind...,"Jaune said feeling like an idiot for suggesting the name.
Pyrrha appears next to them shifting her spear into a rifle.
"Might I suggest we wrap this up?," Pyrrha asked a bit more directly then intended.
"uh... Pyrrha?," Jaune said nervous.
"What is it?," she asked.
Nora spoke up, asking the question on all of their minds.
"What's up with the yellow glowy lights?," Nora asked.
"umm.. Glowy lights? What are you talking about?," Pyrrha asked.
"There's a strange golden aura around your body.," Ren said.
"We can speak about this later, humans. They're getting up.," Pyrrha said.
Jaune spoke up.
"Right.. Nora?," Jaune said.
"Yes?," Nora asked.
"Just... hit them with the hammer.,"Jaune said.
Nora smirks darkly.
"Got it.," Nora said smiling darkly.
"Wait, what?!," Brawnz asked surprised.
Before any of them can even react, Nora jumps to be in front of team BRNZ and brings her hammer around to smash into all 4 screaming teammates sending them soaring right into the force field surrounding the arena's ring. They slid down with arms and legs bent in positions that weren't natural.
"And it appears we have a winner! Team JNPR wins by knockout... litterally! Can someone send the medic team to make sure they're okay?," Port announced.
The crowd seemed to get it too. While they were glad to see a winner, they felt that blow from Nora. The groans and winces from the crowd as Nora's hit connected were evidence of that.
Elsewhere....
At a certain bar named Crow Bar, a gray haired man in a tattered and torn red cloak is sitting on a stool at the counter. Acollection of empty glasses were piled up by his side as he took a swig from another drink, looking up at the tv screen to see feed from the vytal tournament playing. An Image with the words: "Team JNPR defeats Team BRNZ" was shown to be on the screen.
"Those kids weren't half bad!," another gray haired man presumably the bartender said.
"Meh. I've seen better.," The stranger said as he lifted the beverage back to his lips.
"If you say so stranger.," the bartender said.
The man looked up to the screen again.
"Wonder if I'll actually see anything interesting...," The stranger thought.
Back at the colliseum...
[A/N: I'm actually going to skip team sssn's fight. just assume it went the same as it did in cannon.]
Oobleck then addresses the crowd after Sun Wukong's team was victorious.
"While I'm sure some vacuo fans are on a high from that last match, this next one is sure to leave you on the edge of your seat!
A picture of four new challengers appears on the screen behind them.
"This next team actually comes Haven as well! From Haven academy... Team GSSJ! This is surprising, they're a team made up entirely of faunus. But.. they are certainly a crowd favorite!," Port announces.
The crowd loudly cheers as the team of four comes to the center of the ring.
"Who do you think we'll be facing?," a teen with black hair and a black monkey tail asked.
This was Shallot Zenkai, a saiyan. He wore blue armor, matching arm braces, a pair of black shorts, and matching leg guards and boots(both same color as his armor). His hair was spiked, like it was going to the back of his head while going up at an angle. he had slightly tanned skin, and black eyes. Next to him was his twin brother, Giblet Zenkai. Like his twin, he also had the black spiky hair, black eyes, and black monkey tail. Though, he wore a long red jacket with a blue shirt underneath, matching pants, and steel gray boots and gloves. The female members of their team were Scarlett Yamihiro and Jinjer Shinkai. Scarlett had red hair and matching eyes to go with her red tail and tanned skin. She had a pair of scars by her jaw line and one just below her left eye. Scarlett wore a black shirt with gray pants, ebony black fingerless gloves, and gray boots. Jinjer wore blue and gold saiyan armor with a black undershirt, black pants, blue boots, gray gloves , and a single red and gold earring attached to her left ear.
"Whoever they are, we'll beat them.," Jinjer said.
"Jinjer, we shouldn't underestimate our opponents. They could be someone really strong that we've never met before.," Scarlett said.
The team of four saiyans then looked to their right as port announced their challengers.
"And their opponents from our own Beacon academy will be... Team OHRF!," Port announced much to the delight and raucus cheers of the crowd.
From her seat Ruby cheered for Odyn and his team.
"Go ODYN! You got this!," Ruby cheered.
Yang smirked at this.
"You seem excited for your boyfriend, eh Rubes?," Yang asked.
Ruby blushed and pressed her fingers together.
"J-Just a little bit. Odyn's really helped me though, so of course I want him to do well.,"Ruby replied with her cheeks flushed red.
"I think it's sweet you want him to do well though, that's part of being his girlfriend.," Blake said.
"I wish I had someone like that..," Weiss said.
Nearby, Daikon sneezed.
"Catching a cold, Daikon?," Khanna asked.
Daikon turned away.
"Tch! Don't be ridiculous! We saiyans are hardly ever sick!," Daikon said.
Khanna just deadpanned.
"Right...," She said giving him a dry look.
Back in the ring, the saiyans looked over and saw Odyn, Roy, Hailfire, and Flare. Jinjer immediately began to sweat when she saw Odyn and Roy.
"Okay, I take back what I said... These guys look REALLY strong!," Jinjer said nervously.
Shallot took a look at the team approaching them and immediately looked to his twin.
"Wait a minute,... those eyes! Giblet!," Shallot said now on edge.
Giblet nodded, he understood what this meant.
"Yeah, I know Shallot. Those three are Arkynoreans.," Giblet said.
"What?!," Jinjer said shocked.
"Weren't they extinct?,"Scarlett asked.
"Apparently, not all of them were wiped out. You can tell by the color of their eyes.," Shallot explained.
"We need to be careful.," Shallot warned.
"Why do you say that?," Jinjer asked.
"Arkynoreans, especially those of the dark elven lineage, are just as powerful if not more than a fully realized saiyan is. Their potential is.. infinite, just like ours.," Giblet warned.
Jinjer gulped.
Both teams walked forward as Odyn and Giblet greeted each other.
"Greetings, Arkynorean. Certainly wasn't expecting to run into your kind here of all places.," Giblet said.
"And I wasn't expecting to run into another one of your kind, Saiyan.,"Odyn greeted.
"How do you know what we are?," Giblet asked.
"I have a few friends that are saiyans here at beacon.,"Odyn answered.
"I see. Let's have a match they'll remember then, dark elf.,"Giblet replied.
Odyn smiled as they bumped fists.
"Same to you, saiyan. May the best team win.," Odyn smiled.
"Oh! The two teams are showing a classic gesture of good sportsmanship. Who do you think will win?," Port said.
A poll appeared on the screen with the votes.
"Oh my! It appears that nearly 40% of the crowd thinks team GSSJ will win this and 40% thinks team OHRF will win this. While another 20% thinks this will result in a draw. ," Port said.
"How very intriguing... well without further ado... let us choose the stage!," Port said.
The stage icons then began to spin on the screen, just as they did for the other matches. The crowd watched along with the two teams who would be fighting. They were curious to see what exactly they'd be dealing with as far as terrain was concerned. The icons then land on rock, water, and fire. The crowd seemed interested in this odd choice of terrain.
"Hmm.. this is quite interesting. We earth for primary, and then desert, and sea. An intersting choice indeed.," Port announced.
A ring of light then appeared overhead before shifting the ring to the said areas. To everyone's surprise, none of the teams drew their dust weapons instead they opted to fight with their fists. Even Flare was okay with this, which caused those who knew her to raise a curious eyebrow. The semi shy fox faunus wasn't really known for her hand to hand combat skills, but maybe she had a plan to compensate for her subpar martial arts skills. unless... Odyn, Hail, and Roy had secretly been training her. That.. actually wouldn't surprise any of the teens that knew them. That seemed like something Odyn and his team would do.
Now that the ring had been prepared, all that was left to do was to fight. The teens all shifted into stances as they prepared to square off against the team from Haven. Odyn closed his eyes and mentally linked to his teammates.
"You guys remember the plan, right?," Odyn asked mentally.
"Yeah.," Roy said.
"Of course.," Hailfire replied.
"Yes, I-I remember. But could you.. run over it one more time?," Flare asked.
"Sure thing, Flare. I'll handle Giblet as soon as the signal to start sounds. Out of all of them, he looks like he'll be the most troublesome one to deal with.," Odyn said.
"I can handle Jinjer, she seems like another troublesome one. It'll be better to distract the two strongest first.," Hailfire said.
"Flare, you and I will fight Shallot and Scarlett. That way, if one of us is having trouble the other one can cover their back.," Roy suggested.
"R-Right! B-But... you think i'm ready? I'm nowhere near as powerful of a fighter as you three are...,"Flare said a little saddened.
"Flare, you'll do fine. Besides... don't you want to impress Baron?," Hailfire said encouraging her.
"W-Wha-?!," Flare involuntarily blushed.
"Don't think we didn't notice Flare, it's hardly a secret how you feel about him. We all know you really like him... no, you love him don't you?," Hailfire suggested.
"Y-yeah... i do...," Flare said slightly embarrassed.
"Well then, now's your chance!," Hailfire encouraged.
Flare then gained a determined look on her face.
"3..."
"Good luck, Odyn..," Ruby said with her hands clasped uttering a silent prayer.
"2..."
"You can do it, Flare... I believe in you.," Baron silently thought as he and his team watched.
"1..."
"Show us what you got, Arkynoreans..," Jinjer thought.
"Begin!," Port announced.
As soon as the signal to begin sounded, Odyn and Giblet went straight for each other. A loud sound like a sonic boom was heard as the fists of both team leaders clashed against each other. Giblet's ki blazing around him in a blue flaming aura, while Odyn's blazed wildly around himself in an orange aura. Seeing his teammates nearby, Odyn decided to move his fight with Giblet to the desert area of the map. He snap vanished behind him before delivering a ki infused kick to the teen's back side, sending him flying toward the desired area. He gave his teammates a nod before chasing after the Saiyan teen.
Hailfire cut off Jinjer by blasting her away with a beam attack, this allowed Roy and Flare to focus on their assignment. Jinjer stopped herself mid air over the water area of the ring that had the pirate ship. Hailfire quickly met the saiyan girl atop the pirate ship. She grinned at her opponent.
"Sorry about that, had to distract you for a minute there.," Hailfire apologized.
"What are you apologizing for? You just did what you had to do.,"Jinjer told her.
"Yeah, you're right. Just felt like you should know that I don't personally have anything against you.,"Hailfire replied.
Jinjer ignited her ki as she shifted into a martial arts stance.
"I've heard that you Arkynoreans are maybe even stronger than a fully realized saiyan... tell me, is that true?," Jinjer asked.
"It also depends on who exactly the particular Arkynorean is... but yes, that's correct.," She answered.
"Alright then, show me. I want to see just how strong you are, Dark Elf!," Jinjer said grinning.
The two rushed towards each other with powerful kicks that collided with each other briefly. After a brief second they jumped back before rushing at each other with a high speed barrage of punches. During the barrage, Jinjer thought she Hailfire for a moment only for her arm to be grabbed. In one motion Hailfire grabbed the saiyan and flipped her in high speed before kicking her back down to the ship, splitting the boat and sinking it. Jinjer ignited her ki again before rocketing back into the sky and engaging her oponent in another fist fight. This time, the saiyan got the upper hand by blocking Hailfire's blow and kneeing her in the stomach. The blow was harder and had more power than the dark elf expected it to, so it disoriented her a bit. Jinjer then got up close and fired a point blank ki blast that Hailfire took the brunt of. She felt like she was being tossed around by how hard the saiyan was hitting her as it certainly appeared that Hailfire was overmatched by the saiyan. She was getting hit in every possible direction and looked like a rag doll the way she was seen to be thrashing. When the barrage of attack was over, Jinjer sent the dark elf back down to the water the same way she had been just a few minutes before. Hailfire stopped herself from sinking into the water by ramping up her power to come to a stop. Jinjer descended and looked a the girl.
"I would ask if you've had enough, but I know better than that. You've been holding back haven't you?," Jinjer asked.
Hailfire chuckled as she cracked her neck and then her knuckles before looking at the saiyan girl again.
"I'm impressed that you could tell. If that's the case, let's not waste any more time shall we?," Hailfire replied before igniting her power to match Jinjer's current power.
"HAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!," Hailfire screamed as the arena began to shake before a cyan blue aura surrounded her.
"What the?!," Jinjer asked before inwardly sweating.
She may have bitten off more than she could chew with this one as her opponent.
With Roy and Flare...
Meanwhile, on the earth portion of the map Roy and Flare were faring better than anticipated against Shallot and Scarlett. Flare channeled her semblance in the form of illusionary weapons to throw scarlett off guard. It was proving to be effective as Scarlett and Flare both fought similarly to each other now. Every time Scarlett would go in for a finishing blow, Flare would hit her twice as hard with an energy formed weapon. But now, both were getting dangerously close to aura level ringout. Both were in the yellow as far as auras went.
"GOLD SCYTHE!," Flare cried sending a schockwave of slashes towards her opponent.
"WIND BLADE!," Scarlett cried sending an attack from her feet a the same time.
Both attacks collided creating a large cloud of dust. They both panted, almost out of breath.
"You're not bad ,Fox Girl.," Scarlett grinned.
"You're.... *huff* not bad *puff* yourself, Saiyan.," Flare said.
The two got ready and charged again throwing and assortment of punches and kicks. This brief exchange ended in both girls striking each other in the face, skidding away after. They were both almost in the red now. One more attack would finish it. Scarlett got into a stance, charging up the ki in her foot to finish off her opponent. Flare did the same as she charged up one final attack.
"CRESCENT WIND BLADE!," Scarlett shouted.
"GOLDEN FOX BLADE RAIN!," Flare shouted.
The two attacks collided as both girls ran out of aura.
"Ooh! And we have our frist two ringouts due to aura level! Scarlett Yamihiro and Flare Kitsune are both out due to aura level. Such a shame, both girls fought their hearts out.," Port announced.
Roy and Shallot went blow for blow, each just gauging the other to see what they were capable of. They both ignited their ki, shaking bits of the arena as they prepared to fight.
"I do hope you're prepared, saiyan.," Roy said.
"More than ready. Shall we get started then?," Shallot replied.
Both nodded and charged at each other.
Back with Odyn and Giblet...
Both had fought fiercely up to that point, but it was only a warmup. Odyn and Giblet backed away from each other before smirking.
"Well, it seems that was a good enough warmup. Wouldn't you agree, Dark Elf?," Giblet asked.
"Heh, you read my mind Saiyan. Let's take this seriously now, shall we?," Odyn replied.
The two teens nodded. Giblet clenched his fists before releasing his power, he had to get serious. Otherwise, he didn't even know if he could defeat this other blue haired teen. The saiyan sped towards the teen, almost catching him off guard by the sudden speed change.
Giblet struck and he struck hard. Odyn purposely took the first blow, merely to gauge where Giblet was at power wise. Odyn shrugged it off, but definitely felt the blow. Who knew saiyans could hit so hard and with such power? He was more determined than ever to have a proper match with this saiyan.
"Hopefully, this will draw their attention.," Odyn said.
"Whatever do you mean by that, Dark Elf?," Giblet asked.
"There's a group here, that is plotting something. I don't know what it is, but I have the feeling that whatever it is will be really bad for everybody here.," Odyn replied.
"So they're planning on hurting alot of people and sowing seeds of distrust against Beacon into their minds?," Giblet asked.
"That's right! Without proper evidence I can't unmask the person I suspect is behind this.," Odyn replied.
The two continued to fight as they talked, keeping it entertaining for the audience.
"I see... they're like I used to be then. I take it you need our help to deal with this possible threat then?," Giblet asked.
Odyn nodded.
"It would be of great help to us. Can I count on you and your team, Giblet?," Odyn replied.
Giblet smirked.
The two teens rocketed towards each other with their fist cocked back before throwing them forward, creating a large shockwave. It was revealed that both of them had hit each other in the face before skidding away temporarily.
"Need you even ask, Dark Elf? Of course we'll help. Now let's give the crowd a rousing conclusion to our match.," Giblet said grinning.

Both teens let out screams as the power skyrocketed. Giblet with his clear white aura and Odyn with his blue aura.
They both rocketed towards each other and a fierce battle began. They were even at first as they took turns breaking the other's guard and socking each other hard with their fists and kicks. This then divulged into a projectile battle as Giblet roared, unleashing a storm of ki orbs that Odyn flew around the stage to dodge and avoid.
"Well... I certainly have to admit I've never seen a match quite like this one! It's quite exhilarating!," Port announced.
The crowd was captivated by it and were on the edge of their seats in anticipation. The match was hard at times to follow, due to the high speed of the combatants but it was enjoyable nonetheless.
A certain group of three were wide eyed at the match, especially Emerald who had no idea there were students this powerful at the vytal tournament. She was now inwardly frightened about having to face any of the students from the teams fighting, especially the blue haired and flame eyed teen. Somehow.. she could tell he was still holding back a massive amount of his power.
Mercury, was wide eyed for a different reason. He knew Khanna's cousin was strong, but it was a little jarring to see just how powerful he was. Good thing he was secretly on the side of the Elves and their circle of friends, he'd hate to have someone as powerful as Odyn was for an enemy.
Cinder watched and frowned. She wasn't expecting perhaps the biggest thorn in her side to be anything like this in battle. In terms of battle prowess, she had to admit, these Dark Elves were on a totally different level then her. It would be rather difficult to kill one of them. But that was the reality, she'd have to because they were in the way of her plans. Just... not here.
The Arkynorean and Saiyan zipped around, clashing fists as they went, causing small explosions as well as making the arena shake with their power. Odyn returned fire with his own barrage of Ki orbs, creating a large smokescreen in the middle of the stage. Giblet got the upper hand briefly and began to overhwhelm Odyn before hammering him to the earth. The saiyan descended to the earth before speaking up. Odyn got up to his feet but, was bleeding with several cuts on his face and arms.
"Had enough, Dark Elf? Is.. what I would say... but, you're still holding back. Aren't you?," Giblet asked.
Odyn chuckled as he looked at his aura level, it was yellow and almost into the red. His opponent was in the same boat upon looking to the holographic screen behind them.
"You could tell, huh?," Odyn chuckled.
"Of course I could. I was holding back myself, to be honest.," Giblet replied.
"I wasn't sure you could push me to this point, Giblet. Glad to see I was wrong about you. You're more than a worthy sparring partner.," Odyn replied.
"While I'm pleased to have proven your doubts wrong, shouldn't we wrap this up?," Giblet replied.
"Alright. I'll warn you though, very few have pushed me to use this move before. So I'll defeat you with my best move.," Odyn said grinning.
"I was about to say the same thing.," Giblet grinned back.
He stuck his hands out in front of him while an orb of ki formed in between them.
Odyn smirked.
"He fell for it.," Odyn thought.
He took in a deep breath before exhaling.
"Mana Zone! Calaveros... DRAGON FIST TORRENT!," Odyn yelled.
" what the?!," Giblet cried in surprise.
The wave froze him as hundreds of fists pelted him making him thrash before the final blow came in the form of a magic and ki infused fist.
"DRAGON'S FANG!," Odyn cried as he struck the other teen hard in the gut creating an explosion of Light that sent Giblet flying into the barrier surrounding the ring.
Odyn descended to the ground as his other two teammates appeared beside him.
Jinjer was launched by Hailfire before skidding to a halt, while Shallot was looking the same as Roy. Both were beat up with rips and tears in their outfits.
Roy looked to Odyn who gestured to Hailfire. Hailfire nodded, it was time to finish this.
"LIGHTNING FLAME SPIRAL!," both cried.
Jinjer and Shallot both cupped their hands as they launched their attack.
"FINAL...KAMEHAMEHA!," The saiyans shouted launching their beam attack.
The two attacks sped towards each other, eventually colliding as the groind cracked due to the force. Both pairs of combatants screamed at the top of their lungs to overpower the other. It seemed like the saiyans would win the struggle for a moment, that was until the Elves nodded to each other. Roy and Hailfire decided to add a little bit of their magic power to boost their attack.
*music end*
Due to this, the elves attack completely overwhelmed the saiyans and sent them flying into the barrier. This effectively ended the match. The crowd sat there stunned at what just happened.
"U-uh... Team OHRF wins by ringout! By the skin of their teeth, they have defeated Team GSSJ! What a thrilling match! They will now move on to the doubles round!," Port announced.
The crowd wild in excitement before applauding both teams. That was the best match they'd seen of the vytal tournament so far. The Elves went to go check on Flare, who smiled at her teammates tiredly.
After picking up Flare, they went and thanked the team they'd just fought.
"Thanks for the exciting match, Saiyan.," Odyn said offering Giblet a hand to stand to his feet.
Giblet smiled at the other teen as he accepted his offered hand. Both team leaders then shook hands before exiting the ring.
"Heh. Not a problem, Arkynorean. You're the strongest opponent I've fought before. But... make no mistake! Next time we fight, I'll be the one who's victorious!," Giblet said smirking.
Odyn smirked back at him.
"Of course. I wouldn't want it any other way, Saiyan.," Odyn said smirking back.
The all Saiyan team then walked off as Giblet waved goodbye to them.
"Well.. we did it team.," Odyn said.
"Yeah!," they all said fist bumping.
"Come on, let's go and meet up with the others.," Roy said.
"Yes, let's do that.," Flare agreed.
"I don't know about you guys, but i'm starving after that.," Hailfire said as they walked off.
As soon as they made their way towards the stands though, Odyn was almost tackled by Ruby running up to him and hugging him. This caused the two to spin around before he set down his ecstatic girlfriend.
"Odyn, congratulations!," Ruby said hugging him.
"Woah there, someone's excited aren't they?," He replied with a chuckle.
"Of course! You were amazing out there!," She replied proudly.
"And you weren't bad out there yourself, handsome~!," Yang said to Roy making him blush involuntarily.
"Y-Yang! It was a team effort, ya know? Heh heh!," Roy replied a little nervous.
The group sat down as the next match was about to start.
Weiss and Blake turned to Flare.
"Flare was pretty cool out there too.," Yang said.
"Yes, I agree. You worked well with the others.," Weiss said.
Flare blushed at the praise, waving her hands in front her face with her tail wagging behind her while trying to deflect the words.
"Oh n-no Odyn and the others did all the work! I only wish.. I could've done more to help them.," Flare admitted.
"Flare, don't sell yourself short, you were great out there!," Weiss encouraged her.
"Yeah! You were so cool!," Ruby said with her eyes sparkling in excitement.
The Elves sat back down in their seats as the next match was about to start. Odyn and Roy kept an eye on Emerald and Cinder. They didn't like the feeling they were getting from them.
While OHRF sat down, Cinder was deep in thought. She replayed Odyn's entire fight with Giblet in her minds eye.
"I'll need to be even more careful now. I wasn't expecting those Dark Elves to be such... monsters in combat. We definitely can't underestimate them.," The woman thought.
She smiled, because there was something she was sure they'd never figure out.
"They may be strong... outrageously so.., but they still have no idea what I have planned. Soon enough, all of Beacon, all of Remnant will know.," Cinder thought.
She was confident none would be the wiser to her plans, or so she thought. At the same time above the arena, stood 4 figures.
They were Tarro, Sybrh, Valvahdern, and Zero. The two instructors and two Elven vanguards watched the tournament from above.
"Have to say, I certainly wasn't expecting to see more of your kind around.," Valvahdern said.
Tarro nodded.
"It was a surprise to me as well. I've never seen any other saiyans aside from myself, Daikon, and the other 2 in miss Andross's team since I've been here.," Tarro replied.
"Still... there's something about that other team from Haven..," Zero started.
"What is it about them that bothers you, Zero?," Tarro asked.
"He's not the only one. There's something... off about them. Though, I can't quite put my finger on it..," Sybrh said.
"I see...," Tarro replied.
"Should we investigate, sister?," Zero asked.
The raven and golden streaked haired Elf thought for a moment before answering.
"Yes, but be discreet about it Zero... we don't need our enemies catching onto our intentions.," She said.
Zero nodded.
"Sy, it's okay with you, I'd like to do my own investigation into the team of Cinder Fall, Mint (Emerald) Sustrai, and Mercury Black.," Tarro said.
" You needn't worry about Mercury.," Sybrh said.
"Why is that?," The saiyan asked.
Sybrh smirked at him.
"Because last I heard from lady Khanna, he's on our side now. He's only pretending to go along with those two. L- I mean miss Andross convinced him that cinder and emerald really aren't who they say they are.," Sybrh answered.
"And he's.. agreed to help by acting as a decoy to fool them?," Tarro asked.
"Yes. That way, when Cinder thinks her plan is about to go off without a hitch, that's when Mercury will help us turn the tables on them by revealing that he was never really on their side to begin with.," Sybrh explained.
Tarro understood now, that plan was ingenious to say the least. Neither Cinder, Emerald, or even Salem would be expecting one of their own to betray them once his memory returned.
"But, the other two... it's fine if I do my own investigation on them?," Tarro asked.
Sybrh nodded.
"Just.. *sighs* just be careful, Tarro. I'd rather not have anything happen to you alright?," The Elf replied.
Tarro nodded and then left the room temporarily.
Valvahdern looked towards his sister.
"You're worried about him, aren't you?," He asked.
"Yes... He is a saiyan so.. you understand why I worry so much.," Sybrh said with a tinge of pink on her cheeks.
"So.. 😏 Have you told him how you feel yet?," Valvahdern asked.
"Val, you know I can't do that! Not yet, at least...," She said blushing.
"Yet?😏, he smirked slyly.
"VALVAHDERN ANDROSS, If you say a word .. I swear..!," Sybrh said embarrassed.
Valvahdern backed awwy and put his hands up in defense.
"Yikes! I get it! I won't say anything, just please put the sword away sis!," The dark elf said frightened of his sister's temper.
Sybrh managed to calm fown and sheath her sword, leaving her and Valvahdern to talk.
Tarro came back a few minutes later and the trio watched what would be the final match of the day. It was Khanna's team against from atlus academy.
Due to being a five man team however, one of their members had to sit out from the match. Baron volunteered to sit their match out. Whether he felt like they'd advance or simply that he was thinking of his team first, he let his other teammates have their shot.
The crowd cheered for the match, but something happened that no one was expecting.
As soon as the match began, Khanna never gave the other team time to form a strategy. She leapt into the air before catching her hammer and slamming it to the earth, creating a shockwave that sent the other team flying. This drained half of the other team's aura points, much to their surprise.
The black haired dark elf then picked up her hammer and gave her teammates a nod, it was their turn to fight. Daikon, Note, and Beat all took off quickly towards the others. While her teammates dealt with the others, Khanna put away her dust weapon by strapping it to her back.
She grinned darkly, cracking her her neck briefly and the her knuckles as she approached the team leader of the team from Atlus.
"Now then, hope you're ready tough guy.," She said with a toothy grin as she approached him.
The other teen, gulped loudly as he began to sweat. Putting his fists up in a boxing stance he began to wonder how he got into this situation. The teen in question was named Hizashi Murakawa, he was from Atlus.
He had peach colored skin, blue eyes, and spiky brown hair. His outfit of choice was a dark gray overcoat with two black belts crossing in an "x" shape, a green undershirt, beige pants with a yellow belt having the symbol of a wolf on it. Black boots, and a single white beartooth necklace hanging from his neck. His dust weapon was a pair of silver gauntlets, much like Yang's, a trio of long sharp looking blades near the fist.
"Why is this happening to me?," Hizashi thought.
The black haired elf didn't do anything other than wave at him to come hit her. This made the teen angry as he charged towards her fully intending to show her not to taunt him. He put a lot of force into his fist and swung at her, only to have it blocked by... a single finger?!
Khanna deadpanned at him.
"😑 really? Is that the best you got?," She asked dryly.
Hizashi tried again with more force,only to receive the same result.
"I know you can hit harder than that. That was pathetic, i didn't even feel that one.,"Khanna said dryly.
The teen tried and tried to hit with more force, but it never worked. The only thing it succeeded in doing was annoying the girl and boring her.
She sighed as she slammed her fist into his face depleting his aura more.
"Put...your.. back into it!," Khanna said annoyed.
The teen did as she said and she actually felt his hit connect. Now they were getting somewhere. She smirked at the other teen, finally she could enjoy the fight.
Hizashi charged at her and the two clashed fists, then exchanged blows. The black haired elf was having fun, until... she noticed his aura level. The last hit she delivered completely drained her opponent of his aura, that stinks. And just when she started enjoying herself too, it was over already.
Note and Beat used their superb team work to conpletely over power the last remaining fighters as they rained down a storm of ki blast from the sky. Note then called to beat.
"Beat, back off for now.," Note said.
The teen saiyan nodded as he hung back with Daikon, who had already defeated his opponent easily. She took a certain stance as she ignited her ki before dashing towards her opponent.
"PHALANX RUSH!," The girl shouted as she pummeled her opponent with punches and kicks before finishing the other girl off with a certain move.
She cocked her fist back before thrusting it forward sending the image of a dragon towards the other fighter.
"DRAGON FIST!," Note cried as the dragon slammed into the other fighter sending her flying into the barrier, ending the match.
"Um... Well it appears KDBNB has defeated their oppents rather easily!," Port announced still surprised that the match ended so quickly.
"That is the final match of the day, please leave the collisseum in a calm and orderly fashion! Thank you.," Oobleck announced.
"Come on guys, let's go congradulate Khanna and the others.," Yang said after the group of teens stopped flinching due to the volume change from Oobleck's announcement.
They notice Weiss looking up with a smile as she spies a certain ribbon adorned aircraft. Because of her stopping, Ruby bumps into her partner briefly.
"Hey Weiss, what are you looking at?," Ruby asked.
"She's here!," Weiss said happily.
"Who's here?," The red cloaked girl asked.
"My sister!," Weiss said surprising those present.
"What?," the others asked a little surprised.
The Schnee heiress' face displays a mix of joy and anxiety as the screen cuts to black.

Visuals: Ranges from the characters introduced so far before turning to a dark screen split between the heroes and villains. Mercury struggles to choose a side until hands from the lighter image reach out to him and shatter his dark background. It then shows stills of each character in range of importance in the story before ending with the forces of light behind Team Rwby and Odyn looking up to Cinder and the forces of darkness.
Whew! Finally done with long chapter! Sorry it took so long to update this. But I'm envisioning things at the vytal festival turning out a little bit differently then in cannon. And more saiyans were introduced, yay! Don't worry, they'll be making another appearance. I thought I should have Giblet as a good guy as opposed to him being evil in his original timeline.
Shallot will get his interaction with Blake at some point soon, don't worry. As for Giblet and the others.., let's see what you guys think:
