Chapter 374: First Kiss
After a blissful adventure up in the sky, Henry slowly activated the parachute, causing them to jerk from the sudden rush of wind.
As the violent rush of air quieted into a whisper, they swayed gently, suspended high up in the sky.
"Everything feels like a dream, and I don't want to wake up," Sarah whispered, holding onto Henry's hands tightly.
"Then don't wake up," Henry whispered back, nuzzling her on the side of her neck, causing her to giggle.
"This feels like a romantic date," Sarah confessed, feeling breathless and euphoric as they gradually descended.
"A romantic date!" Henry chuckled softly while guiding the parachute towards an open field. "I wouldn't call this a date because you haven't officially agreed to go on a date with me."
"If this is not a date, then what is it?" Sarah tilted her head sideways to look at him.
"A skydiving adventure." Henry wiggled his brow and Sarah burst out laughing.
"But on a more serious note, if I had the rare opportunity to take you out on our very first date, I would make it the most romantic, memorable first date ever."
"Hmm... Are you trying to patronise me to go on a second date with you?"
"Maybe... Is it working?"
"You find out soon." Sarah's grip tightened around Henry's wrist as they neared the ground.
"Here we go." Henry chimed as their parachute drifted gently toward the open field, the golden rays of the sun bathing everything in a warm, ethereal glow.
Their hearty laughter rang out as their boots hit the earth in staggering rhythm, their faces flushed with exhilaration and awe.
The parachutes billowed behind them like tired wings folding in surrender as Henry freed themselves from its tangling vines.
The open field stretched wide and quiet, the only sound now the whisper of grass bending under the breeze.
Sarah turned to look at Henry, eyes wide and breathless. Their hands instinctively found each other, trembling slightly from adrenaline, and from their burning desire.
No words were said as their eyes locked, the world around them fading into the background.
Drawn in by an invisible force, they leaned closer, hearts pounding in perfect unison.
And there, beneath the sky that had just cradled their flight, they shared their very first kiss—slow, sweet, and spellbinding.

Back at the island...
It was a beautiful day sailing on the calm and peaceful ocean. The boat drifted gently on the sapphire-blue water, its polished wooden deck catching glints of the early evening sun.
A warm breeze danced through the salty air, carrying with it the faint scent of hibiscus and coconut oil.
The rhythmic sound of waves lapping against the hull created a peaceful lull, as if the ocean itself were humming a lullaby.
Wrapped in a flowing, maxi sundress that fluttered around her ankles, Amelia sat comfortably on a cushioned lounge near the bow. Her hands, instinctively protective, rested on the gentle curve of her belly.
Blaze sat closely beside her, his arm lovingly wrapped around her shoulders, while his other hand intertwined with hers atop her belly.
They said little at first, the silence between them filled with unspoken affection. But when their eyes met, they smiled in sync.
Blaze leaned over and kissed her on the forehead, causing her to chuckle softly. Y*o%u!r^ su!pp.ort at MV!^L@EMP^%YR kee-p%s the s^erie-s* go*i%n#g@.^
"I can stay here forever with you," Amelia whispered, her eyes shimmering in the golden light of the sun, catching the reflection of the sea like tiny stars.
"Me too." Blaze exhaled, his heart in complete contentment.
"You said you had something important to tell me earlier." Amelia sat up, turning to face her husband.
"Yeah..." Blaze exhaled again as he thought of how to present the matter without ruining the moment or making his wife sad.
"Are you planning to leave for the city?" Amelia asked with a serious face, which made Blaze's heart sink.
"Umm...I...." Blaze's eyes darted away from Amelia as he ransacked his brain for the perfect word to say.
"I understand." Amelia placed her right hand on Blaze's chin, tilting it back to face her. "I overheard you talking over the phone and I'm aware that your presence is urgently required."
"Are you angry?" Blaze gently pulled her closer, stroking her soft waves.
"A little bit." Amelia pouted cutely.
"Baby, I can cancel..."
"Shh..." Amelia placed a finger on Blaze's lips. "You don't have to worry about me. I have everything and everyone I need right here. Just promise me you won't be going back to jail and I'll get to speak with you at least thrice every day."
Blaze's initial anxiety melted into a smile as he leaned closer and planted a soft kiss on Amelia's lips. "I promise."
"And promise me that you'll come back without a single scratch on your skin."
Blaze trailed his kisses down the side of her neck as he whispered. "I promise."
"Promise me, you wouldn't miss our child's baby shower."
Blaze pulled away from her neck to look into her eyes. "I won't miss it for the whole world."
Amelia lifted the back of his right hand to her lips and kissed it softly, while rubbing it against her cheek. "I love you so much."
"Not as much as I love you." Blaze pulled her closer and claimed her lips in an intense, passionate kiss.

In the wake of Matt Shawls' arrest, a flood of secrets long buried in silence clawed their way into the light.
With his family slaughtered in cold blood, Matt didn't find any reason to keep on living. He forfeited all his legal rights to an attorney and his right to seek bail, thereby condemning himself to a grim fate.
However, he had no plans of going down alone. He decided that if he was going to hang for his crime, he would take down everyone who had ever shaken hands with him in a dirty deal.
No one was spared. Not even his extended and illegitimate family.
Regina, Pearl and Gwen had already fled Salvine City, with the first two women violating their parole terms.
Desmond had also fled the city to the countryside after learning of Matt's family's horrific murder. He didn't bother going back to his family, thinking those who killed Matt's family would do the same thing to his own family.
On the day set aside for Matt's interrogation, he was taken to the interrogation room where two police officers were already waiting to document his oral confession.
However, Matt refused to give them anything, insisting he would only confess on live television with the whole world watching.
At first, he was denied this request, beaten and thrown into solitary confinement. But, when a higher authority stepped into the picture, his request was immediately granted.
