FORBIDDEN INTIMACY: UNCHAINED BY HIS LOVE

Chapter 10: I’M SORRY MASTER

[~Song Recommendation: OK Not To Be OK by Marshmello, Dami Lovato~]

"Have a drink with him?" She repeated the words again this time loud but still she couldn't make sense of it. First, he treated her well, and now he's offering to have a drink with her.

'Is he going to take advantage of me by making me drunk? She thought, but there was no way other than to obey his orders, after all, she was still a slave. She limped on her way to his room. Although the bleeding stopped her brushed knee did pained a lot.

Layla stood before his room which was on the same floor as hers. The doorknob was painted golden or maybe it was made of gold. Layla sighed one last time before she knocked on the door a few times. The door opened and it seemed he was awaiting her arrival immensely.

"Hmm… So fast." He exclaimed while his eyes scanned her entire figure making Layla feel vulnerable. She could easily smell the scent of liquor on his breath. Thankfully he was wearing a casual shirt accompanied by his pants.

"Come inside." He said holding the door for her. Layla felt his voice turning even more huskier because of the alcohol. She went inside and heard the sound of the door closing behind them. She wanted to freak out just thinking of the events that might take place afterward but kept her mouth shut to stop herself from blabbering nonsense.

He offered her a seat at the table and even a glass of fine wine. Layla politely declined him but he seemed hellbent to make her drink that glass. Layla gulped down at one go without even tasting it and placed the glass on the table.

"Wine is meant to be savored slowly. It's not like other liquors." He remarked with a chuckle; Layla felt embarrassed but no words left her mouth as she begun fidegting her fingers.

But suddenly Layla observed his demeanor changing into a serious one. He even got rid of the glass from his hand and got up from his chair.

"See Layla… I'm going to tell you something that you might not believe and definitely not like but I guess I shouldn't hold back this from you." Layla's curiosity peaked and she even got up from her chair to face him.

"Wh-What is it Master?" She managed to utter in her feeble voice.

"David Park… He sold you to me."

"Stop it!... Pl-Please don't…" She raised her hand to cover her ears; she was ready to do anything and everything but she wasn't going to believe something so filthy about Mr.Park.

"Layla… I'm not lying. I've got proof too." He pulled out his phone from his pocket and played the recording.

[David Park: Yeah, I don't care about the money; Take her for free… Okay, okay, yeah. So it's a deal then Mr. Conner? What?... Yeah her name's Layla Mclan.]

Layla felt someone pull the carpet under her causing her to almost fall flat on the ground. But thankfully Michael caught her just in time. Her heart was beating like there was no tomorrow, pumping more blood into her veins yet she felt nauseous and off balance.

"Wait! I'll be back soon…" She didn't hear anything from him as she slumped down on the floor. Tears rolled down her cheeks and she whimpered lying on the ground curling herself like a ball. She felt her heart to be shattered into pieces.

"WHY?... Mr.Park?" Her loud weeping voice echoes in the spacious room. Her mind flooded with the memories of her treating him like a guardian angel. She remembered the story of how David saved her life by rescuing her from the sidewalk when she was just a few months old abandoned by her parents.

'Was it all fake?... But Mom never denied it; Then why sir? Why have you done this? What's my mistake? I always took care of your family; Never ever complained about a thing even when your own daughter tortured me multiple times.' She mused while taking deep sobs.

"Layla?" She heard her Master's voice but didn't react instead she wailed uncontrollably. Soon she felt his hands around him trying to make her sit but she protested.

"Leave me ALONE!" She proclaimed and noticed him retreating from her. 'I think he's playing with me… Yeah,' she thought and got up on her feet.

"Tell me? It's fake, right? RIGHT?" Layla caught hold of his shirt and shook him immensely hoping that it was all a prank being played by him but to her dismay, his next words left her dumbfounded.

"Stop it! I can show you the paperwork even where David even signed with his own bloody hands!" Michael abruptly removed her hands from his shirt and retrieved a paper from his desk.

"See it with your own eyes! I guess you do know his signature and ofcourse you're not illiterate." Michael threw the paper to her face and her eyes grew wide as she comprehended the words written over there along with David's signature at the bottom. Layla was well aware of the rich ink used. She had to believe it at last that it was indeed her loving David sir who sold her deliberately.

The paper fell down from her hands and so is her voice filled with fury. A smile broke on her lips but it carried no happiness. Feeling dejected and heartbroken she fell on her knees before Michael.

"I-I'm sorry Master… I shouldn't have reacted that way… Punish me. Do whatever you want with me. I won't complain." Her trembling voice sounded barely over a whisper to him.

"Layla…" He held her shoulder and made her stand on her feet. She avoided looking at him as her mind was going through a ton of memories from the past. Memories where David showered her with nothing but warmth and care.

"It's okay…" She heard him and soon she felt his hands wrapping around her trying to embrace her.
