They are one of the oldest enduring land species in the Philippines, tracing back to the early Eocene epoch 45 million years ago.

These creatures are nocturnal, but are also quite active in the early morning and at dusk, while during the daytime they sleep within dense foliage or seek out hollow tree cavities to rest.

They are very timid, and sound impacts their survival, which is why the Yu Family designed their glasses monkey enclosure with soundproofing, and arranged the interior to mimic their natural habitat as much as possible.
