Forged in Blood and Shadow

John, facing the man who attacked him under Zoe Loni's orders, released his shadow Qi. "Since you tried to kill me," John said, "you better prepare to die. You're just a mid stage Foundation Forging cultivator. You might be fast, but that's all."

"You sure talk a lot for a dead man," John replied.

John slightly moved his hand. The man's head flew off his neck. He didn't even realize he was dead. He looked down at his standing, headless corpse. His last thought was, That's me? The man's head and body fell to the floor.

Zoe Loni, still bleeding, was terrified. John turned towards him, smiling. "I'm going to be on my way, young master of the Zoe family." John walked out of the room.

Zoe Loni clenched his teeth. "Bastard," he said, "I'm going to get my revenge." He slowly stood up and walked out of the room as well.

We see John walking down the street, thinking, Should I just have killed him? Leaving him alive is only going to bring me problems in the future. Oh well, I made a promise not to kill him. The secret realm is going to open tomorrow. I better pay my ticket a visit. We see him entering the Zoe family estate. He entered his room and was shocked. We see Zoe Karen sitting at the table in the room.

John said, "I see you must have heard."

Zoe Karen said, "What happened at the Plum Blossom Spring House?"

John said, "He's still alive, right? If not for our deal, he would be dead."
