Frederick Duncan Mutant Liaison

Chapter 5: A Plan To Stop Extinction

( A/N: Fun Fact | Not going to lie the plan are dear protagonist is cooking up still would end in failure I feel because of the at this point cosmic rule that humans and mutants need to fight kill each other and then doom themselves with robots )

''So first, I have to start out by saying we need Xavier and Erik to work together. It will be impossible to even try this without those two, no matter how hard we try.'' After saying that to Moira, she thought for a moment before asking, ''What about Apocalypse? Shouldn't we add him into the mix? As you might have seen before, he is incredibly powerful. Wouldn't it be better to get him on board first?''

With a face as serious as he could make without looking strange, Frederick responded, ''No. In fact, with my plans, he comes near the end, and that is for very good reasons.'' Moira couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at that as she asked, ''Why? I know some of his methods are a bit extreme; however, convincing him of a way to stop the extinction of basically his children in his eyes won't be hard, or am I wrong?''

''Yes, you are wrong about Apocalypse, not in the sense that we wouldn't want to stop the extinction of his children, but in the sense of his ideology. He views nearly everything, if not everything, through one lens: the strong survive, the weak die—survival of the fittest.''

Moira snapped back at him when he said that. ''I know that everyone who knows the man does! However, when we—'' Before she could finish, Frederick cut her off, saying, ''When you and he worked together, what he did was test. He tested humans to see if they were fit enough to have their ideologies on mutant kind, even if that meant our and his deaths.

In truth, based on what I know of him, he could have destroyed 99% of humanity in our universe in just one hour. Yet he holds off on doing so because of his ideologies. When he's doing the destroying and the conquering, he's testing his children—the mutants, the next generation—to see if they are fit enough or not.''

After saying that, Frederick looked straight at Moira, waiting for her to say anything or ask any questions. After a minute of silence, she asked, ''So should we allow Apocalypse to die? I know he will revive one day, but still, should we to buy as much time as possible?''

Frederick smiled at her and leaned back in his chair as he said, ''Without a doubt in my mind, we should. Apocalypse should die, along with a bunch of other mutants—except for a key few: those being Kevin MacTaggert, Hope Summers, Joshua Foley, Fabio Medina, Eva Bell, and Jean Grey—if Hope is ever to die, leave, or lose her mutation.''

Moira raised her eyebrow at those names, particularly the names of her children. ''It touches me somewhat that you don't wish for my child to die, but I can't help but ask: who is Hope Summers, and why do we need this group of mutants in particular?''

Frederick widened his eyes for a few moments, caught off guard by himself, before letting out a chuckle as he rubbed the back of his head. ''Yeah, my bad. I forgot to explain your 11th life and all the events that happen within it. Honestly, it slipped my mind for a second. I apologize for that. Let me explain so you know why Hope is so important.''

After saying so, Frederick proceeded to explain most of what he knew from the comics, leaving out some things and others he straight-up couldn't remember.

Moira's face slowly transitioned from thoughtful to angry as she stood up in a rage. ''That fucking bitch Irene Adler! How stupid could she be? She leads to the deaths of so many because of her arrogance when it comes to her mutant abilities and her high-and-mighty stance on everything! It's so infuriating!''

Does she not even recognize the fact that her abilities only work best to predict things that will happen in a day or even a week? Her idiocy in thinking she knows how everything will play out, guaranteed, is astounding and utterly idiotic! She even insulted me for not being able to see the bigger picture.

While torturing me to death by slowly burning me alive!'' Frederick, seeing that, leaned back even further in his chair, thinking, using Moira's anger at Destiny as background noise. 'Yes, her actions were idiotic, and so were Mystique's, dooming every mutant and, well, humanity through their actions. I wish I could say I hated them, but I don't. Their actions allowed me to figure out just how dumb I was as a kid, reading fanfics and thinking I would be a god in two weeks because I knew the past, present, and future of the comic universes and others.'

After a good 15 minutes of anger, Moira sat down and slowly started breathing normally as she looked at him with a nearly numb face. ''When was Krakoa created, as in which life and after which event?'' Frederick thought for a moment before saying, ''After House—I mean, after the whole Scarlet Witch debacle and before that, Onslaught and Genosha. However, there is something we must survive no matter what.''

Moira raised an eyebrow at him and said, ''Go on, I'm listening.'' Breathing in and out very slowly, he continued, ''It's the Incursions, an event that happens where every universe collides into one another and eventually leads to the destruction and recreation of our multiverse.'' Moira's eyes widened at that as she got up and asked, ''Incursions... wait, hold on! I don't remember anything like that happening. It just shouldn't have happened! So why did it?!''

Frederick nodded, reaffirming his guess as he said, ''Because, after the fact, I'm pretty sure it was a kind of reboot to the point where Incursions didn't even happen, and nobody remembers them because of that. However, that doesn't mean they didn't happen when the reboot did. A certain eye was able to know all events that happened, more or less. In short, it's complicated. However, I believe I have found a way to survive them—well, for the two of us, at least.''

''How? From what you said, it was impossible for most people to survive what happens. Even the greatest minds on the planet couldn't figure out that good of a way to survive?'' Frederick smiled at her as he said, ''That's simple, really, yet somewhat hard. The key lies where Man-Thing resides. Funnily enough, one of the best ways to survive lies in Florida.''

She looked at him with confusion as she said, ''Florida? Really? You've got to be joking. There is just no way that anything in Florida can stop us from being killed by multiversal destruction.'' Frederick laughed as he replied, ''Yep, our way of survival indeed lies within Florida. Because in Florida, the Nexus of Realities is located. After going there, we are going to take a pair of Infinity Gems from an alternate reality that resides there and use it to somehow create something that allows us to survive the Incursions.

However, I do have two more plans if that fails, so really, no rush. We still need to wait for Onslaught to happen, after which we'll be heading to Florida to do all this. Also, relax! You've got the mysterious ex-FBI agent who knows a few things on your side. In comics, that paired with a super always works out.''

After making that joke, Moira let out a sigh before smiling. ''Got it, Mr. Mysterious. I hope we work together well in the effort to stop the extinction of my kind.''

( A/N: Fun Fact | If Destiny was just not brought back i'm pretty sure Moira's plan would still go wrong but she would keep on trying to find peaceful ways to stop the extinction of mutant kind as well as the enslavement of mutants as you gotta remember if they are not dead in the future of marvel they are slaves. )
