Free like a Bird (Resident Evil X Male reader.)

The two of Y/N and Jill start made their way by the stairs, silens between them and suddenly Jill speak with curiosity on her voice.

Jill: "you sure you are....mentally fine??"

Y/N: "huh??? What you mean??"

Jill: "you know what I mean, you so....calm and happy, like you enjoying this."

Y/N: "because I AM enjoying this!! Its like a dream come true! Finally a free world, action, fighting for my life, walk on the death line, my heart beat fast from fear and horror, I can day on any second and that's all make me taste the other side of the world!"

He said all that with excited tone and wide smile on his face make Jill get more shocked and confused, but on end, a small smile tigger the corner of her lips.

Suddenly, they got a call from the radio.

Jill answered it.

Carlos: "Jill, it's me again. You two topside yet?"

Jill: "Working on it. So what's the plan?"

Carlos: "The old tanks got me clearing the tracks. You mind getting the subway infrastructure back online?"

Jill: "And how do we do that?"

Carlos: "Let's start by restoring power. I'll navigate you two to the substation once you reach the main road."

Jill: "Copy that. Let's do this fast."

She put the radio then turned to Y/N.

Jill: "You get all that?"

Y/N: "yammmmmmm yes!"

Jill: -_- "what he was saying again?"

Y/N: "kill zombies!"

Jill: -_- "that's will be a loooong night."

They exit the subway and went through the half closed shutters. They saw people running and panicking. One of them crawled into the shutters.

Y/N: "Pardon us. The escape car is right this way."

Jill: "Come on, Y/N. We need to get that train moving."

They noticed a zombie close by. He noticed them and walked towards them. Jill pointed her pistol at him but Y/N raised his hand in front of her.

Y/N: "I got this."

He suddenly dash to the zombie and start beating the shit out of him.

Zombie: "WHAO!! WOAAAAAH!!! AHHHH!!"

Jill: "d-did I just...heard the zombie scream for help...?"

Y/N done and stand up with fists fill with blood.

Y/N: "👍😁👍"

Jill: "why this is horrible and cute on the same time...?"

Later, they saw the power station ahead. Y/N and Jill ran straight to it but a barricade and a fire was blocking it.

Y/N: "Carlos, good news. We've reached the main avenue. Is that the power station ahead?"

Carlos: "If you're talking about the big transmission tower, yeah. That's the substation. You two will have to circle around through the alley to your right."

Jill: "Are you talking about the alley that's on fire?"

Y/N: "It probably is. We'll need something to put it out."

Carlos: "Well, maybe a tall drink of water like Jill might be able to put out some flames."

He chuckled at the joke and Y/N look confused because he didint get the joke.

Jill: "can you shut your mouth and be useful for once!!?"

Y/N: "So, shall we look for a fire hose or something?"

She turned around and gasp.

Jill: "Behind us."

Y/N turned to the direction and saw the zombies pushing down or climbing the fence.

Y/N: "ha! That's will be fun!!"

Jill: "step back! I have a plan."

They both stepped back as Jill fired her pistol at the red barrel. It exploded and killed the zombies around it.

Y/N: "why there is a fire barrel on the midule of the street??"

Jill: "They must have set them up for the hordes. Let's put them to use when we find more."

They took the path where the fence was. Y/N start throw hands on any zombie on his way while Jill shooting perfectly on their heads finish them. As soon as the area was clear, they stepped in front of a restaurant called "Moon's Donuts".

Y/N: "perfect! I was already getting hungry."

Jill: "focus! We need to reach the power station!"

He didint listen and went to the counter and saw that there many types of donuts behind the glass. Y/N easily broke the glass and grabbed a donut he liked. He eat it directly withote even check if there is any any shards of glass, Jill can bet she heard a glass cracked coming from his mouth.

Y/N: "You want one?"

Jill: "No thanks. I'm good."

Y/N: "You sure? This may be the best donut I ever eat!"

Jill: "I'd rather focus on getting out of this city."

Y/N: "ok.." *crack crack crack crack.*

While he continued eating the donut, Jill decided to search around the place for anything useful. Find a hand gun under the counter, take the reload and put it on her waist.

Y/N: "Find anything?"

Jill: "some gun amo, here, I find those too."

She throw a right hand glove she find to him he catch it, take off the bandages from his right hand and put the glove instead.

Y/N: "that's what I am talking about!"

The two get out from the other door.

As they cross the street, they saw a door with a sign that said Kite Bros Railway and a staircase to the second floor on the opposite building.

Y/N: "I'll check out that place there."

Jill: "Alright, I'll see what I can find in the Kite Bros."

Y/N: *crack Knuckles.* "let's see."

Jill stepped inside the Railway building while Y/N went up the stairs and went inside. To the left, the stairway was barricade but there was still a room he could check out.

Y/N: "hm."

He opened the door and a zombie rushed at him, attempting to bite him. Y/N grabbed him by the neck on last moment before it bite him.

Y/N: "eh! Close one"

He went to the wall then smashed the zombie head on it repeatedly and finish her with a punche.

Y/N: "I LOVE my hands!!"

as he looked around. Moments later, he got a call from his radio.

Jill: "Y/N."

Y/N: "AH!! who you!!? How do you know my name!!?"

Jill: "it's me, you dumpass!! Listen, I found a fire hose. We should be able to put out that fire now."

Y/N: "oh okay, meet me on the fire place then."

Jill: "On my way."

Y/N put the radio away then head for the other door.

Y/N: "let's see."

He walked through a catwalk and soon head up to the roof. There were more zombies on the way as Y/N throw hands as usual, finish them.

More zombies were approaching him as Y/N finished the zombie in front of him. He performed a thrust punch as it sent the group of zombies flying off the roof.

Y/N: "strike!!!"

Y/N proceeded further across the roof and found a ladder. He kicked it down then jumped down. He found Jill currently putting out the fire.

Y/N: "Jill!!"

He run to her for a hug but she put her hand on his face stop him.

Jill: "good you are alive. The way is clear. We should be able to get to the substation."

Y/N: "Awesome!!"

They entered inside a garage and spotted a room with a chest and also bolt cutters at the wall.

Suddenly, they heard something from the next room.

Jill: "Is someone in there?"

Y/N: "Could be either a zombie or a survivor."

Jill had her gun at the door as Y/N broke the chains with the bolt cutters. They went in the next room and saw a wounded soldier. Jill quickly ran to him to check his wounds.

Jill: "You're U.B.C.S?"

Soldier: "Yeah, careful, careful."

Y/N: "is that a bite??"

Soldier: "No, no. I'm not infected!! I swear!!"

Y/N: "Calm down. We're not jumping to conclusions."

Jill: "We need to take care-"

Soldier: "No, no, no! Wait! Please!"

Y/N quickly turned around but.

bang!!

It was too late as he already get fired by a tall white haired man who killed the wounded U.B.C.S soldier.

Y/N: "Damn it!"

Jill was shocked then angrily turned to him

Jill: "What the f*ck?!"

Nicholai: "He was infected."

Jill: "He might have been infected."

Y/N: "You could have let us check if he was infected!"

He Clint his fists tighty.

Nicholai: "Are all of you civilians and S.T.A.R.S this soft? It's no wonder so many of you are dead."

Y/N: "soft hearts made us humans, no one deserve to die, even if he may be infected but still have chance to live."

He turned to Y/N.

Nicholai: "He would have turned. Where's your sense of self preservation?"

Jill: "Maybe it's up your ass!"

The man turn to Jill furious and walk to her but Y/N step on front of him block his path.

Y/N: "do it, I dare you."

He glared at Y/N for a moment but he decided to turn around and leave.

Nicholai: "Go back to the subway station. We don't need bleeding hearts like you getting in the way."

After he left the garage, Y/N turned to Jill.

Y/N: "I already hate this guy."

Jill: "You and me both."

She raised his pistol up.

Jill: "He's not worth it. Let's just focus on getting to the substation."
