From Overlord To Multiverse.

Chapter 24: Chapter 24: Making Magic Scrolls.

Early in next morning.

Lioro sat quietly on the sofa with several old-looking stacks of paper in front of him.

[Skill point: 58-> 57]

[Papermaking tier 0-> Papermaking tier 1]

--------

Skill: Papermaking (Tier 1)↑

Consumption: 2 MP

Produce 500 sheets of low-quality paper. For every additional point of mana consumed, 250 sheets can be produced, with no upper limit.

--------

Picking up a single sheet, Lioro felt its coarseness, using 'Scroll Engraving' he started making a scroll for the tier 1 spell 'Lesser Fireball'.

After a few seconds he was done writing and his mana decreased by the same amount as casting a 'Lesser Fireball' spell, which was a negligible amount.

Lioro looked in silence at the glowing texts on the coarse piece of paper.

Glancing at the sleeping figure on the bed, Lioro teleported out of the place and appeared outside the church.

Seeing the empty street he tore the tier 1 scroll in his hand in half.

In the next moment, the two pieces lit up, before combining together and forming a Lesser Fireball spell which shot straight through the air and into the sky before disappearing after loosing it's effectiveness.

After seeing the scene, Lioro first upgraded papermaking to tier 5.

[Skill point: 57-> 53]

[Papermaking tier 1-> Papermaking tier 5]

--------

Skill: Papermaking (Tier 5)↑

Consumption: 32 MP

Produce 32 sheets of Mid-quality paper. For every additional point of mana consumed, 16 sheets can be produced, with no upper limit.

--------

Teleporting back inside the underground place, Lioro picked up another sheet of paper and started making scrolls for tier 1 spells.

Magic Arrow, Light Healing, Lesser Fireball, Reinforce Armour.

After making about a hundred of each he used tier 2 papermaking to summon another stack.

Acid Javeline, Ray Of Negative Energy.

He made some 3rd tier scrolls for Heavy Recover.

Finally, he created 10 scrolls of 'Magic Disruption Mist'.

Fortunately, his mana cost and recovery boosted by six eyes reached an exaggerated amount or he would have run out of mana long ago.

After storing everything inside his prop box, Lioro went to the bathroom to take a bath.

Walking out wearing a new pair of clothes, he was drying his hair using a towel when he stopped and looked towards the bed.

His gaze landed on the still-sleeping Hestia.

Walking up to her, Lioro looked at her peacefully sleeping face, then grinned and moved his head, splashing water droplets on her face.

The first wave landed on Hestia's face making her eyelids quiver.

But she continued sleeping.

Then the second wave arrived!

Hestia's brows furrowed.

Finally the third wave.....hit the mark!

Hestia's facial expression crumbled, tiredly raising her hand she slid it across her face and then slightly opened her eyes.

She first looked at her wet palm for a moment, then her gaze landed on the smiling Lioro on the side.

Her brain, unable to process the situation, kept looking between Lioro and her wet palm.

It was not until Lioro silently pointed at his wet head that she understood what just happened.

"Despicable...yarn~~ to play pranks on you're beautiful sleeping goddess...."

Stretching her arms, Hestia lightly rubbed her eyes and complained in a small voice.

"Bad child."

"I'm going out to the dungeon."

Lioro said as he raised his hand and patted her head.

Hestia gave him a dissatisfied gaze.

"Go! If you want to go then go!"

"Alright alright...."

Lightly waving his hand, Lioro made his way towards the stairs.

"Lioro!"

Hearing her voice, Lioro stopped and looked back.

He saw Goddess Hestia giving him a serious look.

"Make sure to stay safe."

Lioro smiled.

"Of course, Goddess."

Seeing Lioro's back disappear, Hestia let out a small breath before lying back on the bed and covering herself with a blanket.

Walking out of the underground space, Lioro stopped and looked at the broken door of an entrance.

After thinking for a moment he pointed towards the ground and said.

"Summon Undead 7th: Wraith Assasin."

An illusory figure covered in a black cloak, and carrying a broken blade in his hand appeared before him.

"Stay here and don't let any suspicious person go in."

Wraith Assasin nodded his head.

"Also she's a goddess and might recognize you're presence so stay at a safe distance."

Following his words the dark miasma flowing out of the Wraith Assasin was contained and the spectre's figure turned invisible.

He was completely gone, Lioro could only vaguely sense him using their link as a summoner.

Although Lioro believed no adventurer would dare to step inside a church with impure motives as there were real gods in the world but still.

It doesn't hurt to have some precautions just in case no?

The reason he didn't tell the Wraith assassin to follow Hestia was simply that there were many gods in this world, and who knows which one would randomly find the specter by relying on some random ass ability?

Anyway, moving on.

Lioro walked out of the area and made his way towards the marketplace.

Unlike the dull afternoon, the morning of the dungeon city was extremely lively as every adventurer was making their way towards the dungeon.

Walking among the crowd, Lioro stopped in front of a clothes shop.

Stepping inside, he came out sometime later, carrying a mask and a robe.

Making his way towards an empty alley, Lioro wore the mask and the black robe.

Opened up his inventory he took out a metallic sword.

Then his figure vanished from the spot and he appeared beside a familiar giant hole on the 13th floor.

Looking at the place, Lioro took out a small notebook from his inventory and confirmed what he learned yesterday.

Then placing the notebook back in his inventory, Lioro made his way through the middle floors.

The hellhounds and minotaur were not an obstacle for him.

After killing several of them which kept blocking his path, Lioro simply decided to ignore their attacks and make his way forward.

14th floor, 15th floor, 16th floor.....finally he arrived at the 17th floor.

Unfortunately.

It seems he wasn't the first one to arrive.

Lioro narrowed his eyes and looked at the team of adventurers fighting the monster rex of the 17th floor, Goliath.

The adventurers seemed to have also noticed Lioro's presence, looking at his shady appearance they instantly became vigilant but the monster rex in front didn't allow them to have any second thoughts.

Lioro leaned against the wall and watched their battle in silence, after all adventuring followed the first come first serve rule.

Since they arrived first, Lioro could only silently watch as a spectator until their battle ended.

Seeing that Lioro had no intention of intervening, the adventurers sighed in relief but didn't drop their guard.

Watching their battle, Lioro looked at their coordination.

It was good, they all seemed to be experienced adventurers.

*Roar*

Along with a loud Roar Goliath slammed his fist down on the ground, but the adventurers expertly dodged the attack and then quickly launched a counterattack.

Then after some time, Under Lioro's helpless gaze, the adventurers managed to beat the monster rex dropping its huge magic crystal.

Seeing them celebrate, Lioro sighed in disappointment before making his way down.

The adventurers instantly turned towards him, looking at him in vigilance.

Lioro silently walked passed them and entered the 18th floor.

The adventurers behind him also calmed down and continued their celebration.

Lioro stopped and looked at the lush green forest in front of him.

18th floor: Safe Zone.

A miracle of the dungeon, a special floor where no monster spawned except for a few which sometimes made their way here from other floors.

Crystals adorned the roof of the floor, acting as an artificial sun, bringing light to the dark dungeon.

Lioro's gaze landed on the huge tree in the distance.

Stepping foot on the soft soil he made his way towards the huge tree.

Jumping from one tree branch to another for fun, Lioro arrived before a small settlement around the giant tree.

Rivira is a small trading place created by adventurers.

It was a common place for trading shady and prohibited items since it wasn't managed by the guild.

Taking out a large blanket from his inventory, Lioro placed some of his magic scrolls inside and wrapped them up.

Carrying it on his back, Lioro stepped foot inside Rivira.

Looking around the place, he made his way towards the most crowded area.

The adventurers around looked at him in curiosity.

After all his outfit was unique, to say the least.

But still,l it was Rivira after all, shady people were the most common here.

What really attracted them was the bag on Lioro's back.

How to say this? The bag was bigger than him.

It looked quite comical, he didn't look like a porter either as the bag was but a single blanket with something wrapped inside.

Standing in front of what seemed to be a weapon shop, Lioro shamelessly placed the blanket on the ground and opened it up, revealing several magic scrools.

The onlookers looked in confusion.

After all there was no such thing as a magic scroll in Damachi.

Seeing their reaction, Lioro was just about to say something when a rough voice came from behind him.

"Hey, what the hell do you think you're doing in front of my shop?"

A mean-looking middle-aged man with a scar on his face walked out carrying a sword in his hand, looking menacing at Lioro.

The onlookers looked at the scene in interest, waiting for a good show.

The Senior adventurer stood in front of Lioro and looked down on him using his big frame.

"You brat! Where did you pop up from along with you're garbage?!"

Well, the scrolls made by the tier 1 spell did indeed look like garbage.

But instead of being offended by his words, Lioro slowly raised the mask on his face, revealing an opening for his mouth.

Then under the man's confused eyes Lioro pointed his mouth tiwards the sky and said while taking in a deep breath.

"Icy Flame."

A blue complicated magic circle formed in front of his mouth.

Lioro released his breath which passed through the magic circle and turned into an icy flame of terrible might, going straight into the air, instantly grabbing the attention of the entire Rivia.

Of course, Lioro made sure to envelop the icy flame in infinity so as to not cause a fire.

The middle-aged adventurer fell on his back in fear.

Lioro ignored him and stopped using his spell.

Turning his head and seeing that everyone's attention was now on him, Lioro spread out his hands and said in a loud voice.

"Everyone! Did you just see that? The might of my magic?"

They looked at him in curiosity and fear.

"Well guess what? Now it can be at your disposal! At a friendly price!"

Lioro picked up a scroll and tore it, sending a Lesser Fireball flying into the sky.

"100 magic crystals only! For tier 1 spells!"

And that's how he started his career as a magic shopkeeper.

Manufacturing cost: Nill, Profit: 100%.

The power of capitalism has corrupted him.
