Chapter 82: Chapter 82

Xiao Yi sprung out of bed and rushed out of the room, not even bothering to put on a shirt as he went to try to calm the situation down before it started.

Alas, he was too late.

Li Hao spun over and grabbed Xiao Qiu's foot, forcing the older man to the ground beside him. He opened his eyes as he climbed on top of him and let out a cold laugh when he saw who was lying underneath him. "The first thing you do when you see an old friend is kick them while they're asleep. You're so heartless."

Xiao Qiu struggled underneath the man, but Li Hao was different from him. He didn't slack on working out. After a minute of struggling, Xiao Qiu glared at him and spat. "Why the fuck are you here?"

"Ah?" Li Hao glanced around the room. "We're crashing here for a bit."

"The hell you are!"

Xiao Yi sighed as he looked at the situation. He could feel a headache coming on as he walked up to the two men entangled on the ground and pulled on Li Hao's collar, forcing him to stand up.

Li Hao turned to see who was treating him like a baby kitten and found a shirtless Xiao Yi. He obediently raised his hands and said. "Your brother started it!"

"Hmm." Xiao Yi nodded, his eyes narrowed. "I know."

The person who had been tattled on propped himself up on his elbows and looked at his brother. His eyes lingered on the scar that he'd never been allowed to see, before rising to look at his face. Just like Li Hao, he could act aggrieved too. "I thought he was a random guy, how was I supposed to know it was Li Hao? He obviously tackled me knowing who I was!"

"I was half asleep."

"You were speaking just fine a moment ago."

"…"

Xiao Yi dropped Li Hao's collar and turned to Xiao Qiu. "I'm letting them stay here for a while." He thought for a moment and added. "I might be moving."

He'd had this idea for a while now, but he didn't bring it up to Xiao Qiu so he wouldn't be upset. To stop this situation from growing, he decided it was best to bring it up to divert Xiao Qiu's attention from Li Hao.

It worked.

Xiao Qiu frantically pushed himself off the floor and asked. "Why are you thinking of moving? Where are you going?"

Li Hao understood and used this chance to grab his bag and go to the washroom.

"I've been thinking about it for a while." Xiao Yi started, looking at the small apartment in front of him. "It's time to start living like a human. Humans don't live in their brother's boss's apartment for free."

Xiao Qiu shook his head but asked. "With what money?"

"…"

It was in this moment that he realized neither he nor V told him what he'd been up to in the past four years. He did know that he'd made money with V but he didn't know the extent of it.

He glanced up at his brother, who was racking his brain with scenarios of his younger brother in an old, beaten-up apartment, working as a cashier at a local convenience store working paycheck to paycheck. His little brother had just put on some weight and gained muscles, but in a few years, he could look like a skeleton!

Xiao Yi sighed. "Brother, I'm not poor."

Xiao Qiu shook his head. "I don't think it's a good idea, you can stay here and save up more, Lee doesn't mind."

"I'm richer than you and Lee combined."
