Chapter 84: Chapter 84

Xiao Qiu peeked at his little brother's phone, and his fingers twitched as he contemplated whether to grab it out of his hands and see who this guy was.

Thankfully, he had some common sense to him.

He leaned forward and stretched his finger to point at the screen. "Who are you meeting?"

Xiao Yi put his phone face down on the table and noted. "It's a friend I met online."

"I know you're all grown up, but meeting strangers off the internet is still…"

Xiao Yi nodded in agreement. "I'm bringing Chen Qiang."

Xiao Qiu leaned back into the seat and questioned. "Was it Nightmare?"

"En."

"Can I come too?"

Xiao Yi laughed. "It's going to be awkward for him."

They sat in silence for a few minutes, only listening to the cars beneath them as they looked their separate ways.

Xiao Qiu glanced at his brother from the corner of his eye.

A new friend… That nightmare person…

He'd known his brother was talking to that guy for a bit now, however, there were rumors that the assassin was a player's second account that they fooled around on. What if it was someone who had bad blood with his little brother, or, what if someone wanted to scam him or bring him into a scandal?

On top of those concerns, Xiao Qiu really had to look at his brother.

Xiao Yi was not a person who could make friends easily.

Other than Chen Qiang, no one else would have dared approach him with his attitude. If they did approach him, they wouldn't know how to handle his silent and aloof personality.

While Chen Qiang was the first person to approach him and welcome him into his life with open arms without caring about those facts - the same couldn't be said for his other friends.

The four other boys approached him because of Chen Qiang's influence, and for a while, if they had a question to ask Xiao Yi, they'd just look at the older man. Because Xiao Yi wouldn't answer a dumb question, or he'd give them a one-word reply, a nod, a hum.

V had also met him through Chen Qiang's influence.

But this guy…

Wouldn't it be his brother's first time making friends on his own since he met Chen Qiang?

His eyebrow furrowed slightly. "Are you nervous?"

Xiao Yi glanced over, his face as calm as ever, but his eyes flickered. "En."

"…"

So his brother knew how to be nervous over making a good first impression.

"Ask how old he is. Ask him if he has any ulterior motives, too."

Xiao Yi rubbed his head. "That second one…"

Xiao Qiu sighed and pushed himself off the chair. "Okay, fine, I'll tell Chen Qiang to ask."

"Wait!"

Xiao Qiu paid no attention to him. He swung open the door and pointed at the man who was still trying to act busy with his luggage, as if he had a whole closet in there to organize and 30 minutes wasn't enough. "Chen Qiang, ask that fucker what he wants with my little brother, okay?"

Chen Qiang shut the suitcase and stood up while cracking his knuckles. "I was going to do that anyway."

Tang An glanced between the men. "Ask what fucker?"

"My little brother's new friend!"

Li Hao, Tang An, and Mu Yichen echoed. "He made a friend?!"
