Game Of Thrones : Merchant of Two Worlds

Chapter 125: 125. Visiting My House So Late?

Of the over two million spent, the two diamond necklaces Jason Liu gifted to the ladies were exceptionally expensive, costing hundreds of thousands each. In comparison, the platinum necklaces he bought for the three girls were far more affordable.

After waiting for what felt like forever in the cosmetics store, Lin Xiaohan and Jiang Chuchu finally returned, each carrying a carefully chosen set of cosmetics and a bottle of Chanel perfume. Their faces glowed with excitement, but their expressions betrayed a hint of unease. They seemed worried that Jason Liu might balk at the price and refuse to pay. That would have been quite embarrassing!

However, Jason Liu, with his carefree nature, didn't even blink at the cost. He simply swiped his card without hesitation. His confident and generous gesture left the two girls utterly impressed, their admiration for him growing visibly.

For all the talk about people not being materialistic, let's face it: in today's world, who isn't? A handsome, wealthy boyfriend who doesn't hesitate to spend—what girl wouldn't find that appealing?

Unaware that his actions had earned him even more points in Lin Xiaohan's eyes, Jason Liu quickly turned his attention to shopping for the "three bear kids."

For children, nothing is more exciting than snacks and toys. So, Jason ensured each child got a big bag of various snacks. He also picked out toys like Transformers and model cars for all three.

As he browsed, Jason suddenly thought of his nephew and niece, Lila and Noah, from his sister's family. Moved by the thought, he bought clothes and toys for them as well.

Finally, he remembered his parents and asked Lin Xiaohan and Jiang Chuchu to help pick out clothes suitable for middle-aged and elderly people. He also bought two sets of clothing each for his sister and brother-in-law.

Jason instructed the mall staff to bundle all these items—gifts for his parents, sister, brother-in-law, and nephews—and send them via courier to his sister Liu Wan's address in the city. From there, she could take them to their parents during her next visit.

With the women's and children's shopping done, Jason decided to skip gifts for the men, like Robert, Ed, Robb, and Joffrey.

"Men don't need this kind of stuff!" Jason thought to himself, brushing off the idea of buying them clothes or accessories. Instead, he settled on sending each man a custom-made sword and an expensive stab-proof suit. That would suffice, he reasoned.

By the time their shopping spree wrapped up, it was already seven in the evening. Jason coordinated with the mall manager to deliver all his purchases to his villa at Forest Peninsula. Then, he turned his attention to Lin Xiaohan and Jiang Chuchu, who were equally exhausted from the long day.

Realizing it was dinner time, Jason decided to take them out for a meal. After all, it wouldn't have been right to send them home hungry after they'd spent the whole afternoon helping him. Skipping dinner would also make it awkward to ask for their help in the future.

Fortunately, the girls didn't insist on eating at a fancy Western restaurant this time. Instead, they opted for a lively hot pot place in the mall.

During the meal, Lin Xiaohan and Jiang Chuchu chatted animatedly about the beautiful clothes, handbags, and cosmetics they'd seen earlier. Jason, however, found none of this remotely interesting and simply focused on finishing his meal.

After dinner, Jason toyed with the idea of excusing himself and heading home early. But the two girls caught on to his plan immediately—probably because of his "criminal record" from last time.

"Senior, are you thinking about your faucet leaking or the TV being left on again?" Jiang Chuchu asked with a sly smile, her eyes narrowing at him over her glass of juice.

Lin Xiaohan shot him a knowing glance as well, silently daring him to try the same excuse again.

Caught off guard, Jason awkwardly laughed. "What are you saying? I'm not that kind of person!"

Both girls exchanged looks of mild disdain, their expressions clearly saying, Yes, you are.

Scratching his head, Jason sighed and admitted, "Alright, fine. I really have something to do tonight, so I can't continue hanging out. Let's plan another day, okay?"

Jiang Chuchu, however, wasn't letting him off so easily. "We spent the entire afternoon helping you shop, and now you want to ditch us? Senior, you really need to learn how to treat people better!"

Lin Xiaohan, noticing Jason's discomfort, decided to let it slide. "Alright, let's not force him. But didn't you say we could help you send your sports car back? Let's do that. It'll give us a chance to visit your place."

Jiang Chuchu's eyes lit up at the suggestion. "Yes! I've always wanted to see the mansion you bought, senior!"

Jason glanced at the time and frowned. It was almost 9 p.m., and they wouldn't reach his villa until at least 10. "Are you sure? It's pretty late. Wouldn't it be better to visit during the day?"

"Senior, stop being so fussy!" Jiang Chuchu rolled her eyes. "We're not worried, so why are you? You're such a typical straight man!"

Unable to win this argument, Jason reluctantly agreed. He paid the bill and led the two girls out of the mall. They got into his car, followed by another vehicle loaded with all the items they'd bought earlier.

Driving cautiously on the relatively empty roads, Jason arrived at his villa. Jiang Chuchu, impatient as ever, complained as soon as they stepped out of the car, "Senior, you drive so slow!"

Jason smirked and replied with a teasing grin, "Isn't it better for a man to take his time?"

The cheeky remark left Jiang Chuchu momentarily stunned. Did he just flirt with me?

Lin Xiaohan, meanwhile, giggled softly, clearly catching the double meaning behind Jason's words.
