Chapter 18: Chapter 18: Missandei
Ignoring their objections, Daenerys gave them a warning look.
"Are you sure you want to exchange your dragon with me?" Kraznys, who was half lying on the chair, sat up and asked in surprise.
"Yes."
"I want two dragons, not this one." Kraznys glanced at the two dragons circling in the sky, then looked at Drogon. He didn't know why Drogon was so much smaller than the other two. Didn't he develop well in the dragon egg?
"I can only give you one." Daenerys looked at Kraznys.
"I want two."
"One," Daenerys answered firmly again.
Seeing Daenerys's tough attitude, Kraznys discussed with the fat good master next to him and said, "Okay, one. I want the golden one."
With one of the three remaining dragons in the world, Kraznys was confident that he could sell him for a high price, more than ten thousand Unsullied.
"I want her again, now!" Daenerys pointed to the little slave girl who acted as an interpreter.
The little slave girl looked at Daenerys in surprise, not knowing why she fell in love with her again, but she still translated the words to Kraznys truthfully.
Kraznys looked the little slave girl up and down, then looked at Daenerys meaningfully, raised the corners of his mouth, and said with a wicked smile: "Since you like her, I will give her to you for the sake of a dragon."
The two parties agreed to trade at the Unsullied training ground in the south of the city in more than an hour. The little slave girl followed Daenerys out of Pride Square with some trepidation.
"What is your name?" Daenerys asked.
"My name is Missandei." As she said this, she looked curiously at Drogon on Daenerys' shoulder, watching his small and delicate scales sparkling in the sunlight.
Feeling Missandei's gaze, Drogon turned around and hissed at her twice: [Hello! Little Missandei! ]
He used to be fond of this Dragon Mother's secret technique and advisor.
Hearing Drogon and Missandei greeting each other, Daenerys looked over her shoulder and felt that Drogon and Missandei seemed to know each other very well.
"You are mine now, and you must tell me the truth." Daenerys continued, turning around.
"I dare not lie to my master, or I will be punished with death." Missandei put her hands on her belly and answered politely.
"I am not your master, and you will never have a master." After saying that, Daenerys pulled out the dagger from Jorah's waist, grabbed the collar on Missandei's neck, cut it off with a force, and threw it on the ground.
Touching her neck with her hand, Missandei looked at Daenerys with her mouth slightly opened, then looked at the collar thrown in the dust. She felt a little at a loss for a moment, but also felt extremely relieved. She did not expect to be able to get rid of her slavery under such circumstances.
Jorah was thoughtful when he saw Daenerys removing Missandei's collar.
Barristan wanted to dissuade Daenerys from exchanging gold dragons for the Unsullied, but was stopped by Jorah with a look.
Back at the dock, Rhaegal and Viserion landed on the deck, and Daenerys ordered someone to make a chain with shackles and a large wooden cage.
She hugged Viserion and comforted him for a while, then quietly put shackles on his claws. Although he didn't understand the function of the shackles with long iron chains, Viserion knew with his immature brain that they were not good things. He waved his claws, unwilling to let Daenerys put them on him.
With his body now bigger than a sheep, Daenerys could not resist his powerful claws at all. The edge of the shackles scratched his wrists several times. Although it did not hurt, it made Viserion anxious, and he bared his teeth threateningly at Daenerys.
Snap!
Drogon smacked Viserion on the head with a claw that was small but surprisingly powerful.
Viserion turned his head in pain and was about to protest, but he met Drogon's flaming pupils. He drooped his head and allowed Daenerys to put shackles on his wrists. He crawled into the wooden cage with grievance, and Rhaegal, who was watching the fun nearby, was so scared that he flapped his wings and flew high into the sky.
The two dragons were well-behaved when they were young, but when they grew up, they didn't listen to Daenerys much and often showed their teeth to her in protest. After being taught a lesson by Drogon several times, they no longer dared to be mean to Daenerys. Today, they were forced into a corner and their true nature was revealed again.
Seeing Viserion walk into the cage obediently, Daenerys stroked Drogon's little head and kissed his scaly face. If it weren't for Drogon, it would be extremely difficult for her to tame dragons, let alone ride them. It's not easy to be a dragon rider.
Ignoring Viserion howling in the cage, Daenerys sent a few Dothraki warriors to guard the cargo ship and took Jorah, Bloodriders and others to the south of the city.
At this time, the wide open space in the south of the city not only gathered eight thousand well-trained Unsullied, but also nearly a thousand Unsullied and preparatory children who had not completed the brutal training.
Sitting in the training ground's stands were various benefactors and their families dressed in gorgeous robes, who had rushed over to see the real dragon after hearing the news.
Four Dothraki men carrying a large wooden cage followed Daenerys to the stand where the good lords were.
The eight thousand Unsullied were not owned by Kraznys alone; he was just one of them who owned a larger number.
At this time, the good master and his family were attracted by the wooden cage that kept shaking on the field. Daenerys ordered someone to open the wooden cage. She walked over expressionlessly, grabbed the iron chain handle, and pulled out Viserion, who was angry and about to spit fire.
After walking out of the wooden cage and looking around, Viserion spread his wings and took off. He flew less than five meters before being tightly bound by iron chains. He flapped his wings hard, and Daenerys held the chains tightly with both hands but still couldn't stop him from struggling.
Seeing that Daenerys was about to lose control of the chains, Drogon, who was standing on her shoulder, raised his head towards Viserys and let out a childish dragon roar, which scared him so much that he immediately calmed down and only dared to gently flap his wings to keep his balance.
The good master and his family were shocked to see that Drogon's roar made the huge dragon flying in the sky calm down, and Kraznys' face was even more gloomy.
Did he make the wrong choice? Shouldn't he have chosen the big one but the one that always stood on the shoulders of the Westeros women?
But how could the big one not be as powerful as the small one? Could it be a matter of bloodline? Was the small one the son of the Dragon King?
"Lord Kraznys, let's trade now!" Daenerys interrupted Kraznys's thoughts. He knew it was too late to regret now.
He could only walk down the stands with a gloomy face, hand the whip in his left hand to Daenerys, and take the chain with his right hand.
"Deal!" Daenerys said after getting the whip.
"Deal!" Missandei translated.
Kraznys: "Deal!"
"Deal!" Missandei translated again.
Seeing the chains being handed to Kraznys, Viserion struggled again, even harder than he had in Daenerys's hands.
Kraznys now realized the effort Daenerys had just put in, and he bent over and pulled Viserion hard, dragging him towards the center of the venue.
Daenerys ignored Viserion's violent struggle and reluctant roar behind her, with a resolute expression and a short whip in her hand, she walked straight forward.
